"This is a hostel, and I thought it was a mix of hostel and hotel, but it turned out to be all hostel rooms. The facilities are basic and limited. The four-person room I booked wasn't available, so I got a free upgrade to a six-person room, which just meant an extra bunk bed. It's not bad, just not what I expected. If you're okay with hostels, then it's fine.
The location is excellent, very convenient for transport. It's close to Venezia Mestre train station, just a ten-minute walk to get inside."

"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic – it's definitely the top choice for anyone visiting Venice. It's barely 20 meters from the train station that takes you to Venice Island, just across the street. The train ticket is only 1.5 Euro, with trains running every 5 minutes until 11 PM, making it incredibly convenient. The hotel rooms are very well-equipped. The bathroom is spacious, and they provide slippers, an electric kettle, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The breakfast offers a rich and varied selection. What's especially worth mentioning is that I made a mistake with my room booking, but thanks to multiple interventions from Ctrip, the hotel graciously offered a free cancellation, which made us very happy. This is a highly recommended hotel, and Ctrip is a truly trustworthy platform."

"It’s a great place to stay if you travel to Venezia by car. There is a free parking, right next to your house in camping. The shuttle to Venice organized by camping, the price is 2,50 euros per person, book it in advance. There is a huge swimming with all amenities on the site: toilets, showers, restaurant and cafe. Great place to stay with kids as well. A huge swimming pool will be a great entertainment and relaxation after a day in Venice. For adults they organize is a party night near the pool."

"The family room, despite having two beds, offered no real sense of privacy. Situated on a lower floor (M level), the view from the window was quite uninspiring. The surrounding area felt a bit chaotic, likely due to its proximity to the train station. While the breakfast selection was limited, other aspects were acceptable. In hindsight, we should have chosen a hotel on Venice's main island; booking this one was a definite mistake."

"Location is everything. Great communication. Easy to find. Several steps up and down a bridge to carry luggage over. Helpful to find access to the water bus. (Public transportation) instead of water taxies (Private transportation). Arranged taxi to get to the airport for departure. Good buffet breakfast. Had room ready for us 2 hour before check in. Comfortable king size beds. Only challenge was small shower.
This was our last two days of a 23 day trip. Venice was unbelievable.

"The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the bus station, and you can take the bus directly to Venice. The facilities in the room are very complete and even have a refrigerator. Although the door is not very soundproof, there is almost no noise. The landlord was very friendly and introduced me to the city, the location of the bus station and other information after checking in. But please note: you need to contact the landlord the day before check-in to confirm the check-in time the next day."

RRogerMy wife and I checked in on a Tuesday after getting off a 9 day cruise. We arrived earlier than we had expected and earlier than check in time. They jumped right on getting our room ready, that same night my wife started getting very sick. I went to the mall, that is just down the street from the hotel, and picked up some covid test kit and found out that she had covid. The staff jumped through hoops to meet our needs, Called me cab to take my wife to the hospital, furnished bus route and schedule, extended our stay by 2 days helped with finding a drug store where i could get meds for the wife then called me a cab to get me there. There is much more that they assisted me with while there and showing concern for the wife's health.
The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever seen and service there was great.
Highly recommend this hotel for your stay,

GGuest UserVery clean place and the I enjoyed the daily breakfast they served each morning. The host went above and beyond when I called him after-hours to help me find a wine bottle opener, I appreciate that.
Some minor drawbacks: Our room was close to the common area and the sound isolation wasn't great. We could hear conversations being had outside, so we had to be mindful about privacy.
Also, I didn't know this when I booked the tickets, but apparently Mestre city is kind of a shady area overall. Luckily this place is only 100m from the bus stop where buses can take you straight to Venice, so you don't have to wander around the Mestre streets at night more than you would like.
Overall I had an awesome time though :)

GGuest UserThe hotel reception blamed Trip.com, saying they should not and cannot charge the city tax, and then asked me to pay again.
Overall, I had a good experience at the hotel, but the reception staff need better training. When I checked out, the receptionist asked me to pay the city tax. I told her that my booking clearly included the city tax, but she kept insisting that what I had prepaid did not cover it.
At that moment, I couldn’t find the booking receipt in my email, so I couldn’t show her proof right away. Because she kept saying I was wrong, my teenage son started to believe her and argued with me, saying, “If she asks for it, just pay, it’s only €14.” This was upsetting, not because of the money, but because it set the wrong example for my son.
In the end, I paid the €14 again and then took about 10 minutes to search through my email. When I finally found the booking receipt, I went back to show it to her — proving that I was right and the city tax had already been included. At that point, she asked someone else for help (possibly a manager), and instead of apologizing, they blamed Trip.com, saying I should ask the agent for a refund.
I later contacted Trip.com, and they processed the refund without any issues. I’ve used Trip.com many times before, and I’ve never had a problem like this. The real issue here is not the money but the lack of professionalism at the hotel reception.

Careful with the ATM inside! IT CHARGED ME 3.95EUROS for 20 EUROS cash withdraw with Revolut... I was never charged in Europe or Asia wherever i withdrew by Revolut card only here...
For Bus, you can buy tickets from receoption!! nice.. but then you have to walk 15 minutes to number 24/24H bus to go to Venice, or you can go from hotel 10 mins to T1 tramway but ride is longer .. but for 1.5E per bus/tram ticket better walk instead of parking your car in Venice for approx. 25E, or cheaper but scammy car parks, unsafe..
Staff from reception and kitchen generous.. very very spacious rooms, safe and medium fridge in the room without freezer. Bathroom is equipped also, lights on the bed in heart shape is a nice idea for honeymooners.. AC is working good, breakfast was cheap and not bad. Overall I liked it here and I'd come again. Minus one star for atm surcharge

RRaluca DascalitaI stayed at La Pergola for 3 nights and it felt very homey to me, like a student dorm room.
It was easy to reach from the Lido SME station, very quiet, my room had plenty of light, a desk to do some work, internet was working properly in the room though I was at the second floor.
The bed was comfy, bed linen was clean, the water was warm and shower had pressure, though the shower head had some holes clogged.
All the basics are there, coffee in the morning is included, and -despite the fact that the room could use a deep cleaning - I think it was great value for money, much better than expected given the previous reviews.
This place will be on my return list in my future travels to Venice.
