Enjoy Awaji Island and its many charms from a central base at Fairfield by Marriott Hyogo Awaji Higashiura, where more than warm hospitality awaits. Our hotel in Awaji is perfectly situated for enjoying the summer sun and surf, as we’re near Ura Seaside Park and its Ura Kenmin Sun Beach, which is among Japan’s 88 Best Beaches and offers an expansive view of Osaka Bay. The nearby Michi-no-Eki Higashiura Terminal Park offers immersion into the arts, featuring a pottery studio where you can try your hand at pottery and a museum solely devoted to sumi-e (ink wash paintings) of cats. Awaji Hanasajiki Park’s sweeping fields of flowers and the breathtaking panoramic view of flowers in bloom throughout the season against the backdrop of Osaka Bay and Akashi Strait are a short distance from our Awaji Island hotel.

"The hotel's hygiene and service are excellent. It's conveniently located 100 meters from Dongpu Bus Terminal, making it easy to catch buses to attractions, though do note that bus frequencies are limited, so check the schedule in advance. On the first floor, there's a microwave, oven, and coffee machine available for guests. Right outside the hotel is a beach, but it seems uncleaned with some litter, and at night, the sea outside the window is pitch black. There's also an Aeon supermarket nearby, which is handy for buying food."

"A pleasant breeze blew by the sea, the heat was modest, and it was a wonderful trip! The interior design was very cute, there was a welcome drink, and I was able to listen to the record! The only thing I was worried about was that the insects were stuck to the screen door or floating in the pool. I think the problem of insects is inevitable because it is a summer night, but that was a little disappointing. Other than that, it was really great!"

"The name of the great architect is worth 200, the breakfast experience is worth 100, and the rest is the room fee. So you can't expect much from the facilities in the room. It cost so much money to build it on the mountain, but the balcony of the room facing the sea is completely blocked by green plants. I don't know why."

"I used it for two preschool children and two adults. There is a high fence on the premises of the onion tent, so even if you take your eyes off the child a little, you won't go out to the road side, so I was able to spend my time with peace of mind. The location was nice and I was able to spend a relaxing time watching the sunset. I am satisfied because the staff was kind and polite. However, because the distance between the tent and the road is close, when I went to bed at night, the sound of the car was loud and I couldn't sleep, and the other side of the tent / road was a parking lot for motorcycles? It was quite difficult for us with small children who had been ringing the lights and the explosion all the time."

"The hotel itself isn't up to par. The amenities provided are quite subpar; the toothbrush, for instance, was so rough it made my gums bleed. Right from check-in, they try to upsell you to a more expensive room. If you refuse, they deliberately assign you a low-floor room with a terrible view – I'm convinced it's intentional. So, if you want a decent experience, you're practically forced to upgrade. After upgrading, they cheerfully provide a hotel map and some greenhouse coupons. Otherwise, you just get a key and that's it. While I can't pinpoint any specific service issues, there was an overall 'off' and unsettling vibe. Even the renowned architecture nearby is poorly maintained. You can't truly appreciate the details; it only looks decent from a distance. This is quite rare in Japan, where I've always found people meticulous about maintenance. This place, however, completely overturned my expectations. Overall, it feels like quite a desolate and depressing place."

"Guest house on the hill. It was managed by a couple and taught me a lot of tourist information. I saw Asahi at 5 in the morning, so I got up early and tried it, but it was the most beautiful. You can also eat breakfast while looking at the sea. Breakfast was pizza potatoes made with homemade bread by the host. I've always wanted to stay in an old private house, so I'm glad I was able to realize it. The slope is dangerous, so I recommend using Uber."

"I was disappointed because the meal I was looking forward to was served cold, even though it was supposed to be hot. The portion sizes weren't very large, which is good for elderly people or those with small appetites. The Dan Dan noodles, served from 9 PM, were only about half a serving, but they were delicious. Although it was an ocean view room, the sea wasn't right in front, but the view was nice because it was on a hill. There was a humidifier in the room, which I turned on before going to bed, but the water level indicator light was blinking in the morning. The toilet in the room had a small sink for washing hands and paper towels were provided, but I don't know why there was no trash can. I had to go outside the toilet and use the trash can in the bathroom, which was inconvenient. The view from the public bath was also nice, but when I got out of the bath around 4:30 PM and tried to borrow the provided lotion and moisturizer, they were empty... They were properly replenished when I got out of the open-air bath in the morning."

Taste early summer Awaji specialty, conger pike dishes! Have a relaxing time looking at the magnificent view.

"Since the transportation on Awaji Island is very inconvenient, and I am not driving by myself, the location of the hotel is also difficult to get to. However, the hotel staff were very enthusiastic to help me solve the problem. They provided a shuttle service so that I could put down my luggage before checking in. You are free to go to other parts of the island first. The view from the hotel room is also first-rate. You can look at the sea and Akashi Bridge, and you can also see the beautiful sunrise. If you are traveling by car, it is highly recommended. "

A lodging area has been opened in Akashi Kaikyo National Government Park, one of only 17 national parks in Japan where you can enjoy the changing nature of the seasons, in a location closest to the ocean and offering spectacular views. With Osaka Bay stretching out below you, you can enjoy the ever-changing scenery, such as the late-night moon road and the morning sun rising over the horizon, which can only be seen by staying overnight. The trailers used as guest rooms are of sophisticated design and manufactured by ADRIA MOBIL, a Slovenian camper brand. You can experience "camper life" in a spacious living space that is a little different from self-propelled vehicles, even if you don't have a towing license. The attached hot spring facility includes an open-air bath with a spectacular view, the Infinity Hot Spring, which guests can use as many times as they like free of charge during their stay.

"First experience the campervan hotel, which feels very fresh. There is a small platform next to the campervan, facing the sea, which is very healing and soothing for the body and mind. The hotel is newer and has a spacious bath. The staff is very happy to receive and friendly and enthusiastic. The food in the restaurant is delicious. Only there are no washrooms in the camper, which is a bit inconvenient to need to use public health facilities, but the sanitation facilities are very tidy. Also, note that the night camp gate will be locked at 10:00. Overall feeling is good, but if you want to experience camping-form activities, here is not a complete experience."

"A very satisfying trip to Awaji Island was made even better by our hotel. Everything was arranged in the best way. We changed buses from Kyoto and confirmed the pick-up station through the Ctrip platform. When we arrived, it was still early, so we took the free shuttle bus to go shopping (with luggage back to the hotel). We used the coupons to buy lunch and ice cream at Hello Kitty. When checking in, the male waiters all kneel down to serve, and confirm the information of dinner and going out the next day. The room we stayed in is a single-family round house like a yurt with a viewing balcony and a wooden bath. The details of the room are all local characteristics (dressing box, free mini bar/dessert, washbasin are all petrified wood). The central roof is transparent and empty, and you can also observe the stars. We enjoyed the food here for 5 days, especially the dinner was not repeated and changed in various styles. What surprised me was that the waitress could perform saxophone and flute at dinner, and there was a restaurant like a stage on the island where you could also enjoy the waiter's musical performance. The 20,000 consumption vouchers given for 5 days are enough for you to go out for free at noon. We also bought Hello Kitty exclusive gifts for the children at the Big Apple with the vouchers. This trip to Awaji Island is more memorable than the trip to Kyoto, and the people are simple and honest. Everyone is working hard to promote tourism in Awaji Island, which is worthy of praise. I will bring my children here next time."

GGuest UserTop rating for the inside spaces of the house. The outdoor and grill equipments are excellent and have great time there. Bed location at loft which headroom a bit tight. Living area is excellent! The location of the house is good with easy access to the seaside for good views. Super market and restaurants are nearby. Thumb up! Have own parking lot but would be good to email or message the location in advance. Advance and proactive messaging about checkin arenagement is somewhere have room to improve.

The location is reasonably good since it is within 60 mins drive to most of the attraction places. The only con is that it has only one common toilet and one common bathroom.
