The Hotel Premium Lake Toya provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Hotel Premium Lake Toya offers a pleasant stay in Toyako for those traveling for business or leisure. From the hotel, Tōya Station is just 5km away. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Mount Usu Eruption Memorial Park, Jinko Island and Fountain Square. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. This Toyako hotel provides parking on site. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness.

"The hotel might be a bit old, but that doesn't detract from its quality at all. The service and facilities are quite comprehensive; they pretty much have everything you could think of. The biggest surprise was the entire glass window in the lobby facing Lake Toya – that alone was enough to soothe my travel-weary soul."

"Transportation: The bus from JR Toya Station goes directly to the hotel entrance, which is very convenient, but the frequency is relatively low, so it's best to check the schedule in advance. Environment: It lives up to the expectations of an old-school high-end hot spring hotel. However, the rooms are indeed a bit dated, though the cleanliness is quite good. If you're looking for a Japanese-style or Japanese-Western-style room and aren't too concerned about the food quality, I'd suggest Toyako Hanabi Hotel next door might be a better fit. Hot Springs: There are two bathhouses, with men's and women's baths alternating daily. Both have open-air onsen. It was snowing heavily the day I went, which made for a wonderful experience. Food: The dinner buffet was excellent, with fresh seafood and a variety of cheeses worth trying. Breakfast also offered a good selection, including udon noodles and ochazuke (rice with tea poured over it). I recommend booking the 'half-board' (dinner and breakfast included) option."

"My brief, one-night stay at Kohan Tei left me with mixed feelings. Stepping into the hotel, it was immediately clear that the property is quite dated; honestly, everything just looks worn out. This dated feel detracted from the experience, leaving the stunning lake view as the only true highlight—and even that is conditional on good weather, making it a bit hit-or-miss. The onsen was, unfortunately, a disappointment. The facility itself is small, and I found it inconvenient that they don't provide towels, requiring a trip back to the room. The biggest issue, however, was the outdoor bath: the water simply wasn't hot enough to truly relax in the cold winter air. On the positive side, I could see why the buffet dining is a big draw. Both breakfast and dinner seem popular, especially since they offer the fun option to do your own mini grill or hotpot. My only critique here is that the breakfast time felt relatively short—it was a definite rush to finish before the cutoff. Finally, the location is excellent for exploring. We enjoyed a lovely post-meal walk that stretches all the way to the ferry dock (about 3-4 km). It's a peaceful stroll with sculptures along the way, perfect for a photo or two. Overall, while the setting is beautiful, the hotel is truly due for a major renovation."

"Lake facing.  Nice and serene view.  Rather old and dated.  Needs a refurbishment.  We had tatami mat room which takes a bit of getting used to for the tatami smell.  Big room. But very small toilet.  Could have made the toilet bigger and ditch the useless storage cupboard next to the door.  Beds need to be upgraded.  Old and mattress far too thin. Breakfast and dinner were so-so.  Only plus points are lake facing and cleanliness is acceptable.  Free carpark next to hotel."

"The biggest issue I have from the stay was that it was too short. The ryokan was awesome - very cosy and spacious for a double room. The place may be old, but certainly gives off the grandma’s place old but cosy vibes. Usage of the washing machine is free, and located just right outside the public bath. You can rest outside on the sofa after your bath while waiting for your laundry. The ryokan’s location is superb - walking distance to the nearest bus stop and to a bunch of convenience stores, drugstores and restaurants. As I was travelling during the long fireworks display period, the ryokan’s location is the best as the fireworks display is right behind it (or right in front of your window). The place may not be so well equipped like your typical hotel in the cities, but it’s definitely enough for simple travels. Would love to visit the place again"

"I chose this hotel in Lake Toya specifically to enjoy the views from a high vantage point. On the way back, I planned to explore the Onsen Bus Center, essentially experiencing two different sides of Lake Toya. **Facilities**: The hotel is a bit old, having been open for some time. Besides a few Michelin-starred restaurants, there's nothing else to eat on the mountain, so remember to bring some snacks. In winter, there's snowmobiling, and I imagine a ride around the hotel would be a lot of fun, but it wasn't open during my late November visit. I hope to try it next time! **Service**: From the moment the shuttle bus driver met me at JR holding a sign, to the private transfer to the mountain hotel, and the warm welcome drinks from the attendant, everything was excellent. I also booked the Michelin-starred sushi, and the service there was absolutely superb (just as rumored, though the front desk staff's coldness did detract from the overall service). **Onsen**: The hot springs were actually quite ordinary. They switch between male and female baths daily, and one time I got to experience the outdoor onsen (which wasn't particularly special either). However, the toiletries were L'Occitane (while the in-room ones were Blagvia), and I really loved the scent! The staff member I encountered also enthusiastically shared their own photos and videos of Mount Yotei and the sunrise, which were fantastic!"

"The hotel is dated but clean. The staff are friendly and attentive. They ran out to guide me to park the car. As there are not many eateries at night, the dinner and breakfast option is a good choice for Lake Toya hotels. The dining hall has limited capacity, so some guests will dine in their rooms (same menu). If you are not picky about what they serve, then this dining style will work for you. I feel the portion was balanced and caloric-appropriate as I tend to overeat. Overall, recommended."

"The moment I entered the room, I was really amazed. The surface of Lake Toya was so beautiful. The tranquil lake surface was rippling with breeze from time to time, forming deep and shallow shadows on the lake surface. Take the Dolan bus from Sapporo, there is a stop at the door of the hotel, Park-mae Station, and it is only a 12-minute walk from the next stop, Toya Onsen Station. From the intersection opposite the hotel, zigzag up the mountain to reach the Konpira crater. It takes about 50 minutes to walk one way. It is a two-way two-lane asphalt road with a wide pedestrian walkway. It is safe to walk up. And you can see Lake Toya from a high place. When you reach the top of the mountain, there is a panoramic observation deck of Lake Toya on one side and a crater of Konpira on the other side. It is not as spectacular as the crater of Changbai Mountain, but it is easy to reach and the view is clear. The only drawback of the hotel is that the food is a bit ordinary, maybe it is due to the lack of staff. But the location of the hotel is very close to the lake and the transportation is convenient."

GGuest UserThe B&B is next to the road of Lake Toya, so it might be a bit noisy at night. It is suitable for self-driving tourists. The B&B owner has prepared a lot of things. The kitchen has soy sauce, oil, salt, MSG, and pepper. The bathroom has hot spring bath additives and the washing machine has laundry detergent. Basically, everything you can think of is available. If you want to take a hot spring bath in the public bath, the owner provides hot spring coupons for 500 yen per person. Although the photos don't look new, the accommodation is very comfortable. There is a tatami mat on the second floor for sleeping, and wooden floors throughout the room. The elders must wear indoor slippers or walk barefoot when going up and down the stairs. Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely do not walk in socks. My mother fell face down from the stairs because of this, but fortunately she was fine. The owner saw the order at *******, and trip seemed unable to contact, and the address on trip Google was wrong!

GGuest UserI had really high expectations for the Noji-Kaze Hotel, especially considering the price tag of 4-5000 a night, with a 50 sqm suite going for over 6500. Plus, Ctrip listed it as one of Asia's top 100 onsen hotels, so I booked it without a second thought. The hotel's public areas are indeed nice; the lobby is spacious, and the breakfast and dinner buffets offer a great variety of vegetables. The staff are generally competent, and basic English communication was possible. However, stepping into the room was a huge disappointment. The bedding and furniture must be at least 20 years old. Not only are they dated, but they're also poorly maintained, comparable to what you'd find in a 400-500 RMB hotel in China. What's even more outrageous for an ”Asia's Top 100 Onsen Hotel” is that the bath on the 9th floor is only a few dozen square meters. The visibility was less than two meters due to dim lighting and heavy steam. Two-thirds of the area was completely obscured. I could only find a corner with slightly better lighting and soaked for 20 minutes before leaving. It's hard to imagine how dangerous it would be for elderly people or children to bathe there. The room I stayed in on the second day was a 50 sqm suite. The furnishings were still old, and the layout felt impractical, a relic of an older era. The private bath for the second day's suite was on the second floor, also a mere 20 square meters. This is a far cry from what I'd expect from an ”Asia's Top 100 Onsen Hotel.” It's also perplexing that such an expensive hotel doesn't even have a gym. And despite mentions of airport shuttle service, I didn't see any available. Overall, this hotel is not good value for money. Proceed with caution. I also hope Ctrip's platform conducts more in-depth investigations.

RRlim1There are no elevators for the 2nd floor rooms. Please request 1st floor rooms if you're unable to carry the luggage up. The service was great and friendly. The price was more affordable given the distance to the town center. We had a rental car and it was a perfect stay as lake hill farm is a few minutes drive and the town center is 15 mins drive away. The view from the room was great and you can watch the nightly fireworks from there, albeit small.

李宥婷Stayed at WE Hotel Lake Toya in a 3 single bed room with half board, which felt a bit small compared to WE Hotel Jeju’s more spacious standards. The lake view from the room was absolutely stunning, making every moment relaxing. Overall, a solid choice for Lake Toya despite room size and some meal expectations Dinner featured the best beef I’ve had, tender and flavorful, served inside the hotel—far exceeding typical expectations. Breakfast was a solid buffet with good variety, though not exceptional. Disappointed it wasn’t traditional kaiseki style as hoped; the non-kaiseki dinner, while tasty with standout beef, didn’t match that classic ryokan vibe. The half board value still shone through for the views and quality

AAnonymous UserThe host does not speak English and Chinese. He loves cleanliness. He stayed alone and didn't meet. I saw the note printed on the door. The instructions were very clear. Just go to the room table and get the key. Remember to change your shoes upstairs and lift the stairs. You can't wear shoes when you enter the room. After check-in, I have to call the host and send a small gift, thank you. The bathroom door is not very flexible, but it doesn't matter. The host gave the Wanshige soup coupon. It is enough to pay 500 yen. The soup is very good. There is no need to wash it at the host. Experienced the joy of making your bed and staying at a Japanese homestay! (Tips for Chinese tourists, the homeowner emphasizes that garbage should be sorted, if not, he will bring it to 711 and lose it). In short, I am quite satisfied! Also supplemented the knowledge of tatami. The front desk is on the left door, check in to see if there is your name on several doors. In addition, it is recommended that the gray kerosene heater on the right hand be collected, and the new white one in the corner is fine, otherwise you will really smell the kerosene, and it also wrote a reminder for ventilation at least 2 times in an hour. The white is the new one. There is no problem. In short, a very good homestay experience, thank you host.
