At dawn, the rising crimson sun softly tints the snow-covered slopes of Mount Fuji with hues of golden red. Its reflection dances upon the shimmering surface of Lake Yamanaka, creating the breathtaking sight known as the “Double Red Fuji”—a miraculous moment when heaven and earth mirror each other in radiant harmony. It is a masterpiece crafted wholly by nature, inspiring awe with its quiet beauty. Our hotel is located just over ten meters from the lakeshore. Within a few seconds’ walk, you can reach the water’s edge and experience these magnificent, fleeting scenes with ease. Fujikokusai Kaikan Hotel is a villa-style retreat situated just across Lakeside Avenue, moments away from Lake Yamanaka. All guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating, a smart TV, hair dryer, and electric kettle. The bathroom area features a separate toilet, bath, and vanity. Warm interiors combining carpet and tatami offer the comfort of both Japanese and Western styles.

"Guys, I have to recommend this hotel! I had an amazing experience when I stayed there recently. The room was neat and clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and I slept like a baby. The bathroom facilities were new and odorless. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and both check-in and check-out were very quick. The location is also fantastic, with plenty of great food nearby and convenient transportation. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely stay here again!"

"A hidden gem of a hotel with spectacular views of Mount Fuji! I booked a random room just a week before Golden Week, and upon entering, I was immediately struck by how spacious and bright it was. The room itself was also very roomy and incredibly clean. Both of their hot springs offer direct, panoramic views of Mount Fuji! The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the breakfast restaurant started my day off beautifully. It happened to be Children's Day in Japan, and the hotel thoughtfully provided games and movies for the kids. I was very satisfied with this stay. I highly recommend staying two or three nights – it's truly rejuvenating."

In the morning, we can help you book a car to go to the Yamanakako Plain to watch the sunrise. Take the bus from Tokyo Shinjuku Station to Fuji Yamanakako Station and walk for 8 minutes Take the bus from Mishima Shinkansen Station to Fuji Yamanakako Station and walk for 8 minutes 150 meters from the entrance of Hana-no-Mito Park bus stop and walk for 2 minutes 200 meters and 2 minutes from Lawson convenience store 300 meters and 3 minutes from large supermarket Ogino

"I really liked the hotel overall 1. The staff was very nice and knew some english so conversation was possible. Fast response times in chat is good service 2. Breakfast was really good 3. Location is very good, got bus stops around the hotel and you can use google maps to know which buses to take, when they come. I used suica card on apple wallet or on app on the scanner when boarding the bus to get around. The bus which is like 5 minutes walk can take you to lake kawaguchiko, gotemba premium outlets, and more. You also got lawson within 4 minutes walk which is a pretty cool convenience store that also has things like katsu sandwiches and cheeseburgers for snacks, ogino a grocery store within 6 min walk, and some other soup restaurants like udon and hoto noodles 4. Close to the lake pier which is great for biking around Lake Yamanaka which was probably my favorite part of visiting besides the local food it is what I would say life changingly beautiful 5. The onsen which is inside the hotel was very relaxing and nice, and you can put cold water into it if its too hot Now i haven't been to other hotels around the area so I cant compare but I would definitely come again"

"The price is low and it's convenient to watch the sunrise, so I'd still recommend it. **Location:** It's a 7-minute walk to Yamanakako Hirano no Hama, and 3-4 minutes to Hirano Station, where there's a 7-Eleven right next to it. **Facilities:** No elevator. The room doesn't have a private toilet, mirror, or wall-mounted air conditioner. There's a small heater that blows warm air, but it has a strange smell. The second floor has no heating, so it's quite cold when going to the public restroom. The central fireplace in the lobby on the first floor is a bit warmer. The women's bath on the first floor is small but has hot water, which was very comfortable after soaking in the middle of winter. However, after bathing, I noticed my body smelled strongly of disinfectant. **Breakfast:** When checking in, I chose 7:30 AM for breakfast. After watching the sunrise, I had enough time to come back and pack my luggage. It was about 70% filling, but you can add more rice yourself. You need to return the tray after eating. **Environment:** The entire building had a strong gasoline smell, which was the hardest part for me as I dislike the smell of gasoline."

"Our stay at this hotel in Yamanakako was absolutely wonderful. The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery and such a peaceful atmosphere. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, and it exceeded all of our highest expectations — spacious, comfortable, authentic, and truly special. The breakfast was delicious and incredibly generous. There was so much food that it was difficult to finish everything! The grounds around the hotel are also beautifully arranged and cared for, creating a very relaxing environment. We also had dinner there, which was excellent and offered at a very reasonable price. Yamanakako itself is much calmer and more peaceful than Kawaguchiko, so for us it was definitely the better choice. We highly recommend both the area and this hotel to anyone looking for a more relaxing stay near Mount Fuji. The only possible downside for some travelers might be the limited transportation options, but for us it was not a problem at all. There is a bus that circles the lake, and we easily reached Oshino, Fujiyoshida, and Kawaguchiko. In the evenings the town becomes wonderfully quiet, which was actually a huge advantage. After busy days in Tokyo, the silence and calmness here felt deeply relaxing. The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We would especially like to thank them because my husband accidentally left his insulin medication in the refrigerator in our room. We did not even realize it was missing. After finding it during cleaning, the staff contacted us immediately and literally drove to the bus stop just five minutes before our bus to Mishima arrived to hand us the medication personally. We were truly touched by their kindness and care. This level of hospitality is rare and unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again."

Please note that if you bringing children the age of 12 or below, the reservation will be canceled without refund. Fuji and enjoy a special moment of peace and tranquility. This is a new type of ryokan where all rooms are equipped with private saunas. Because it is completely private, you can enjoy a relaxing experience that is gentle on your body and mind without worrying about being seen. Fuji and Lake Yamanaka in front of you. Fuji, and Lake Yamanaka are right in front of you. The water from the sauna is mild on the skin, and the water from the underground Mt. The outdoor air bath is comfortable even in the summer time, as Lake Yamanakako has a climate similar to that of Helsinki, Finland, the home of the sauna. In addition to such an excellent sauna experience, the rooms are colorful and beautifully decorated. The cuisine is prepared with fresh ingredients from the rich land of Yamanashi and other parts of Japan. Please spend a special time filled with relaxation in a ryokan that incorporates abundant blessings of nature.

"Hotel Room: Features a built-in sauna, and offers stunning views of Mount Fuji directly from the room. Fuji appears incredibly large and close to the naked eye. The room decor is very tasteful. Hotel Location: Situated on the lower-left side of Lake Yamanakako on the map. There's a bus stop right outside (though buses are infrequent). Within a 2-minute walk, there's a delicious hamburg steak restaurant. A 7-Eleven is about 5-10 minutes away, and you can rent bicycles near the 7-Eleven (the hotel also offers bike rentals, but they are mountain bikes, not electric, costing 2000 yen per hour or 4000 yen per day). If you walk another 10-15 minutes, you can feed swans in a designated area managed by locals (a family of three needs to buy one portion of swan food for 200 yen). Cycling: From the hotel, it takes about 30-50 minutes to cycle to Hirano no Hama (there are many great photo spots along the way, so you don't necessarily have to go all the way to Hirano no Hama, where the wind is incredibly strong). I recommend cycling clockwise on the map and then returning the same way."

"We arrived quite late that day, and the staff at the front desk spoke Chinese. I forget why, but they specially upgraded our room and had already turned on the heating for us. The whole guesthouse was very spacious, and perhaps because it was a weekday, the public bath was practically empty – which was amazing! I absolutely love these old-fashioned Japanese tatami rooms. Although it's a bit remote and you can't see Mount Fuji, being comfortable is the most important thing!"

The hotel is located in Yamanakako Village, distance from Fujikyu Kogen Park is approximately 17 km, Lake Kawaguchi is approximately 20 km, and Mt. Fuji is approximately 32 km. Seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free parking for private vehicles. Liquor store offers private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi access rooms. Provided by Shujia Hotel. I own an electric heating water bottle that is evenly distributed among the rooms. Owned guest rooms equipped with flat panel electronics and free bathing supplies. Self-help breakfast every morning.

"The advantage was that the room was spacious, with plenty of room! The entire room and bathroom were clean and tidy! The downside was that the young Japanese staff member at the breakfast restaurant was extremely rude. He stood there glaring at us, practically forcing us to leave the restaurant by 9 AM! Honestly, I understand needing to leave on time, but this staff member didn't understand that guests don't constantly check their watches while eating breakfast! Our table was completely cleared except for a coffee paper cup, and we hadn't even gotten up to leave yet when that staff member rudely announced that they were closing, then glared at us fiercely! Absolutely terrible attitude! On another note, most of the hotel staff are Indian foreign employees, so there were no issues with English communication!"

AAnonymous UserThis turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We arrived at midnight, and it was so dark we couldn't see the tiny 'P' sign for the campsite. We ended up parking at the bank's lot just ahead and dragging our luggage over, and my hands were freezing. Later, I realized the camp hotel had sent me a map with the location and room code – all that suffering for nothing! Luckily, the room was exceptionally clean, with a gas stove, microwave, and BBQ grill all fully equipped and neatly organized, ready for us to use. What was truly a special surprise was that the host had even pre-filled the bathtub with water for our arrival. The next morning, when I stepped outside for a walk, I discovered Mount Fuji right behind us – it was absolutely amazing! Many thanks to the host for providing us with such a wonderful experience. Driving to Oshino Hakkai the next day only took about fifteen minutes.

SSMO32Booked last minute the night before. Great price and location. Low price was the main reason for booking. The shock and big surprise was the 11 out of 10 service and TLC I got from the owner Marie. I stayed in a room with its own bath shower toilet. Best customer careI have ever had even compared to a high end hotel for $200 a night. Yes you read that right. Something about these smaller hotels and the quality of service can't be matched. Very clean and very cute stay for exploring the Fuji mountain area. She speaks Chinese, Japanese and some English. And an amazing cook. Wow I was thankful I chose to eat at the hotel and not out somewhere else. My Bed was also very comfortable. Great sleep. It was More comfortable than the Disney Hilton Tokyo bay for $200 a night. Terrible beds.

劈柴Since all other room types were unavailable, we stayed in a 6-person room. It was incredibly spacious, and pretty much every room offered an unobstructed view of Mount Fuji (weather permitting). The bathroom was huge and even had a private onsen and a sauna. Each room type came with dinner (BBQ) and breakfast for two. The portions were decent, though don't expect too much from the breakfast. The location is great, very close to Lake Yamanaka's attractions, only about a 10-minute drive away. There's also a fairly large supermarket right next door, just a minute's drive, which was super convenient for restocking. However, due to the glamping site's location, you can't see the sunrise with Mount Fuji in the same frame. I had planned to wake up early to catch the sunrise, but it turns out the sun rises on the opposite side. Overall, aside from being a bit pricey, everything else was perfect. The staff were very nice, and their English communication was excellent.

AAnonymous UserWe had an absolutely fantastic stay at Villa Fuji Yamanakako. The view is truly 10/10 — we could see Mount Fuji directly from the villa, and waking up to such a breathtaking scenery every morning was an unforgettable experience. The location is perfect, with Lake Yamanakako just a 1-minute walking distance, making it very convenient for morning walks and enjoying the peaceful lakeside atmosphere. The villa itself was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. One of the highlights was the fully furnished kitchen — there were plenty of utensils, plates, pots, and cooking tools available, which allowed us to prepare and enjoy our own breakfast easily. It really felt like a home away from home. The environment was quiet, relaxing, and ideal for anyone looking to escape the busy city and enjoy nature, especially with the stunning view of Mount Fuji right in front of you. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and our stay was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We highly recommend Villa Fuji Yamanakako to anyone visiting the Fuji area. It is a perfect place for families, couples, or friends who want a comfortable stay with an incredible view. We would definitely love to come back again in the future!

OOppa LimA short drive from Lake Yamanaka, we checked into here for the night—mainly because we wanted to explore the area and try the region’s famous Hōtō noodles. We chose a traditional Japanese futon room for the experience. That meant laying out our own beds—slightly clumsy, a bit of trial and error, and a lot of laughing when we realised there’s no “redo” once everything’s set. The weather had a chill to it, so the onsen became the highlight. Stepping into the hot water while the cold air lingered outside—it slowed everything down in a way you don’t realise you need. Nothing extravagant, nothing overly planned. Just the four of us, figuring things out as we went. Looking back, it wasn’t the hotel or even the lake—it was those small, unpolished moments that made the night feel complete.

DDY™I really liked the environment here, it's away from the crowds and about a kilometer walk from Hirano Beach. There aren't many restaurants nearby; you'll need to walk towards the bus station area. It's an old house, but everything is pretty much functional. The private onsen in the room was incredibly hot, but the large public bath was just right. The pillows in the room were really uncomfortable, and there was nothing I could do but try to sleep through the night. Breakfast was simple and clean, enough to fill you up.

TTayen ZGood value for money, the room is simple, clean and tidy, the surrounding environment is very beautiful, the location is equivalent to a villa complex in the suburbs of China, there are few people and it is quiet, it is very suitable for people who like to travel on two legs and families who drive here. The hostess is great, she answered all my questions and taught me how to sort garbage. I stayed there for one night and then climbed Mount Fuji. I climbed to the top on my birthday and came back to stay. I came down the mountain to catch the bus very late and didn’t have time to eat. My feet couldn’t walk anymore. The hostess saw that I was alone and helped me cook a bowl of birthday longevity noodles in the middle of the night. It was so warm. By the way, I like the layout of the public area! GGuest UserFrom the room, you can see Mount Fuji. It is very fast to go to the shore of Hirano. If you want to see the morning sunshine in Jinshan, you can open the curtains to see the clarity of Mount Fuji today and then decide whether to go downstairs. There is a private bathroom in the room.
