"The hotel has a great location and nice facilities. Everything was clean and well maintained. The front desk staff and pool attendants were all very friendly and helpful. Pool towels and umbrellas are provided for free, while beach umbrellas cost $30 but can be used from morning until 5 p.m. Beach chairs are free. Overall, the hotel offers good value for money — the Wi-Fi is fast, and the environment is quiet and tidy. The only downside is that the bottled water in the room costs $7 each. I didn’t notice the label at first and ended up drinking several bottles of water before realizing it. Also, the mini-fridge in my room seemed to be leaking a bit."

"The front desk service was extremely inefficient, with a very long check-in line. We booked two rooms through Ctrip using one account, but the hotel front desk initially reported that they could only find the subscription for one room, then left us waiting. After contacting Ctrip customer service, the hotel front desk was able to find our subscription information again, and the entire check-in process took over an hour. The breakfast was very monotonous, lacking even pork and eggs."

"The front desk was horrible they charged me twice on my debit when I gave in my credit card. I asked numerous times is this only for incidentals because I already paid for the room and they said yes. They charged me for the room again. At check out I gave them my credit card and they charged my debit. Terrible!!"

TtlapeachThe room was quite nice - sparkling clean! This is definitely the most important element for me, but this place didn't disappoint regarding cleanliness. One thing I found disappointing was that, while this is a solid place to have a family vacation, there isn't really a more quiet place to get some work done besides the desk in the guest room. The business center is right in the middle of the front lobby, which can sometimes get super loud. A quieter workspace area that is tucked away would be nice. One frustrating thing was the amount of gratuity tacked on to everything. We went to the Bar & Grill for some snacks and a beer one day, and despite only getting our order taken at the bar and one other person bringing out our food and drinks once, maybe twice, the resort has the audacity to add on an 18% service fee on top of the price automatically. I understand that inflation and cost of living are a problem, but it shouldn't give hotel chains like Hilton to pass on the responsibility of paying their employees to their customers. They should actually pay their people a fair wage. $40/day+tax for mandatory valet parking was also completely unnecessary. That being said, experience-wise, it's still a good place and seemed to be one of the lower-priced resorts in the area, but I hate how hotel chains tend to find ways to gouge just a little bit more money out of people around every corner.

GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay at Tru by Hilton in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The location was great. Downtown, easy access to everywhere, without feeling like you’re in the middle of a busy city. The staff was very warm and welcoming. Over all, the vibe of the place is very much like college dorm or summer camp for grown adults. I’d definitely stay here again. The free breakfast every morning was also a very nice addition.

GGuest UserRocketstay is awful. Pain to use, slow, cumbersome, check in extraordinarily late so they can charge extra to check in early, extremely early check out. This place was advertised at $130/night, and at the end of the rocketstay fees it was $200/night. Not worth it.

GGuest User2/12/26 In my experience, the customer service fell short of expectations and could benefit from noticeable improvement. A welcoming demeanor and simple courtesy—such as a genuine smile—can significantly enhance a guest’s experience. While I did not have particularly high expectations given the name “The Red Carpet Inn,” I still anticipated a reasonable standard of hospitality and upkeep. Unfortunately, the property did not fully meet those expectations. The overall odor within the facility was unpleasant and could certainly be addressed. Although the cleanliness was acceptable for an inn of this category, it lacked the freshness and attention to detail that would make guests feel comfortable. Aesthetically, the rooms appear outdated and in need of renovation. The addition of a few brightly colored furniture pieces seems to be an attempt to give the impression of recent remodeling; however, these accent pieces do little to disguise the overall condition of the space. The updates feel superficial rather than substantive—more cosmetic than structural. My wife and I only needed a place to rest for a few hours before catching a flight later that evening, and for that limited purpose it sufficed. However, I would not consider staying here for more than one night, and even that would be with hesitation. Additionally, the “closet” was not a true closet at all. It consisted merely of an exposed wall-mounted rod with no enclosure or doors, which further contributed to the unfinished and poorly designed feel of the room. Overall, while the property may serve as a very short-term stopover, there is significant room for improvement in customer service, atmosphere, and genuine modernization. Bright Spot would only be the Shuttle to the Airport that is included at checkout. This would be there saving grace.

GGuest UserI stayed at this hotel 2/19-2/23 and was in 4 different rooms in 4 nights. The first room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. We were switched right away. The second room windows had phallic symbols drawn all over them, there were no shelves or towel bars in the bathroom and a permanent shower door that only covered half the shower so water went all over the floor. We had disturbances in the hallway at approx 1:30a both nights and no one is at front desk from 11p - 7a to handle the situation, they expect you to call the police. The third room was small (we didn't care) with balcony and ocean view. No hair dryer, which we requested and never received. However, french doors that connected to the room next door. They had a lock but didn't shut all the way and had a huge gap.(pics attached) This is a huge issue for many reasons. Safety - as the occupants pulled on the doors at 10:30p and could have pulled hard and pulled them open. Disturbing - they were so loud and with the gap, we might as well have been in the same room because we could hear their entire conversation. They were loud from 10:30p - 11:30p and then again from 1:15a - 3a. This room is clearly an extension of the suite and no one should be allowed to stay in there that doesn't know the people staying in the suite, let alone charge them for it. Finally the fourth room - had ocean view and balcony but the shower handle came off when I turned it on, again no shelves or towel bars, the half shower door and we were woken up at 12:30a but what we think was power-washing going on in the kitchen outside because the generator was so loud. The front desk receptionists tried to be as helpful as they could in switching our rooms. One of them did reimburse us our resort fees of $60 (which turned out they only did half). But it took time out of our vacation each day to talk with them and come in from the beach to pack, switch rooms and unpack our things. 2 of the 3 floor hallways we were in smelled like marihuana every time we got off the elevator. The Tiki Bar food and drinks are good although they are slow. The staff was vocal on 3 different occasions to us about them being short staffed. I sent 3 emails to the general manager Mike Lang and left several messages with the front desk. He finally called to tell me he had passed on my email to someone named Sarah to reach out (his boss). He explained he was sorry for our issues and understood where we were coming from but that he couldn't do anything except offer a free night. Considering the trouble we went through, the fact that I don't know when my friend and I could come back and one night is not enough, I said we would prefer reimbursement. He did reimburse us the other half of the resort fees ($30). I asked him for Sarah's contact information and he wouldn't give it out and told me she would be in touch. I have sent 2 follow up emails to him that I haven't heard from her and have got nothing. This is not how anyone expects to spend their vacation. Time consuming and frustrating to say the very least. It is even more aggravating that they are not responding to try to make it right. I've reported this hotel to the BBB and am awaiting a response.

DDutchiesDuring our trip through Florida, we had the pleasure of staying one night at the Ocean Reef Hotel, and it was truly a great experience. Upon arrival, we found the reception closed, but it wasn’t long before a very friendly lady came to assist us with check-in. She had just gone out to grab a bite to eat, which is completely understandable – everyone needs food! Once we got to our hotel room, we were pleased to find it clean, well-maintained, and above average in size. Although there were a few minor maintenance issues, what mattered most was that the beds were extremely comfortable and everything was spotless. After checking in, we went out for a meal, but upon returning, we discovered that the parking lot was nearly full, making it difficult to find a spot. Without even needing to ask, a very helpful staff member on the night shift immediately resolved the issue by assigning us a great parking space near the entrance. This thoughtful service made a huge difference. Throughout the night, this gentleman also conducted a round of checks, which gave us a great sense of security. The hotel itself was quiet, and we had a restful night's sleep. The bathroom facilities, including the toilet and shower, were also impeccably clean. In the morning, when we checked out, the same lady who helped us with check-in was there again, and once more, we were greeted with kindness and a friendly smile. This hotel is definitely a place I would return to during a Florida road trip. I highly recommend it and want to thank the staff for their excellent care. It’s absolutely a place to revisit.

GGuest UserThis hotel was a distance from the Hollywood airport, but when I called and asked for a shuttle, a driver came within 20minutes to pick me up. He gave me rather poor directions as to where to meet him, so I waited and texted him off and on for another 20 minutes before I was actually picked up.I wasn't familiar with the airport, so I did the best I could with my two pieces of luggage. Once at the hotel, I had paid for a room with two queen bed, but told the front desk lady I really preferred a king bed.She told me she couldn't change the room because I paid through a third party. The manager offered to help me with my luggage and I then asked him if I could get a room with a king size bed after seeing several small, loud children in the room next to mine.He was very nice and placed me in a quiet room with a king size bed in the back of the hotel. I finally got some sleep after a long flight. There is a restaurant on the premises, but the only thing I could really order in the sandwich category was a delicious, thick hamburger that took over 35 minutes to serve. There was a comedian in the next room who wasn't funny and just three other people there and nobody else in the small restaurant. The service was slow and the humor was southern. The room was spacious, all the lights worked, and the bed was comfortable. The shower/tub area was ancient, but had quick hot water. I really can't recommend this hotel in good faith after all the inconvenienced I endured. Because of all the inconveniences after a long trip from San Diego, I can't really recommend this hotel in good faith.
