Wonderful hotel in the heart of Pingyao. All main attractions are in walking distance. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very big and comfortable.

Lovely modern hotel with many western amenities. They went to extreme lengths to accommodate us and speak English. We’re quite brave with eating when travelling but we still found the menu limited for a western taste.
10/10 location for exploring the small town

+ It is a new and beautiful place to stay.
+ Very kind, friendly and polite staff.
+ Spacious bathroom.
+ When leaving early the taxi driver can pick you up in front of the hotel.
Cons
— The hotel is too expensive.
— Not a smoke free hotel. There was even smoke inside the lobby and the second night it was all over our room too (airconditioning?).
— The first night we tried the dinner, but it was not good. They have photos of the food, but it doesn’t match with what you get. We ordered salmon sushi and got FROZEN sushi instead which was obviously not eatable.
— When we asked for a tea on the terrace we were charged 48 Yuan per person which is way too expensive.
— The bedroom is a bit too small and has the same size as the bathroom.

Because there were few people in the off-season, the breakfast buffet was not open, but it did not affect the dining experience. The hotel provided a rich breakfast menu, the variety and quality exceeded the buffet standard, and it was delivered to the room on time, hot and hot, and it was very comfortable to eat. What is particularly worth praising is the hotel's customer-first service concept. Due to the itinerary, we had to leave at 6 o'clock in the morning. The hotel adjusted the dining time in time. The chef started to cook porridge at 4 o'clock in the morning. When we had breakfast at 5:30, all the varieties were ready.
