After correspondence with the owner, these points must be made to help other travellers: 1. We were NOT told that we could use the kitchen area which is part of another letting room. There were keys in the lock, implying occupation. 2. There is no ‘staff only’ sign on the garden kitchen door, so we entered and were appalled at what we found (see pictures). 3. The owner contradicts himself: we were 'served breakfast' at a table in the garden room by the owner on our first morning (although a cup of coffee and plastic wrapped food does not qualify as breakfast). Why were we expected to take breakfast to our room on the second morning? 4. It would help if the owner addressed the issue of hygiene in the kitchen in the garden room – that’s the filthy one from which he ‘served’ us cutlery, crockery, packaged food, yoghurt and coffee on the first morning. That kitchen is a health hazard as pictures show: no debate, no discussion. 5. The owner has not responded to my points: no fruit, nothing cooked (not even an egg); everything in plastic wrappers; the ridiculously late time of 8.30am to start breakfast; dead flies in the water jug. If we had known we would have gone to the supermarket for proper food, and for €28 would have had quite a feast. 6. I attach pictures of 'the garden'. No-one can seriously be expected to sit in this environment. There is a toilet roll holder, 2 bags of empty bottles (there is a recycling point 300 metres away) and an old grey cloth as per the pictures. 7. The WiFi IS very, very slow as we discovered across 4 devices through 2 Internet providers. What a strange way to treat people who paid €100+ per night.
