Hotel Moderno

Went to Florence and decided to overnight in Pisa on the way home as the flight was from there at 1050..train from MCN was great, cheap and timely, found the hotel easily, 5 mins out of the station, was early but the super helpful lady on reception said the room was ready.. We had a chat about local recommendations and she gave us a map to use with different places on... Great selections, best gelato, different eateries etc... Room was clean and basic, everything worked as it should, breakfast was included from 6am and we enjoyed it before we left, thanks to all at Moderna, your recommendations were greatly appreciated

Good location - close to the train station and a 20 minute walk from Pisa tower. Very basic rooms, hard pillows and no soundproofing. We slept badly as we could hear trains, aeroplanes, people walking upstairs, people in rooms above us and traffic outside. Breakfast is a very basic affair. Staff are lovely and helpful.

Arrived quite late, check was easy and quick, party didn't arrive at the same time and that wasn't a problem Wifi was fine, breakfast also fine, good coffee. Location was great, short walk to main station and old part of town. Walk to airport was only 20 mins, or take the new train.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Moderno hotel in Pisa. We both agree it was a wonderful stay. TThe owners are always in attendance and eager to serve. It has been family owned since the 1950's. We arrived early and one of the owners was kind enough to give us a place to park our car right in from of the hotel, so we did not have to pay a fee. Our room was in good order, clean and well maintained. The breakfast was moderate as are many in Italy and no matter who was on duty, the Cappuccino coffee was really good. For seniors, such as us the walk to the Field of Dreams/Leaning Tower was a long walk. I would guess 45 minutes. Of course a taxi might be necessary if your need to do it. The hotel is right down the street from the train station, maybe 10 minutes walk. It is also very close to the Pisa airport, maybe 10 minutes cab ride door to door. It is a Wonderful hotel and has an excellent staff and owners.
