This was my first solo holiday and from the moment I walked into reception I felt at ease and comfortable. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived but I had added Up (this is for over 18s and gives you exclusive access to a rooftop area, pool, jacuzzi, sun beds, bar and food) when booking my all inclusive holiday. The lovely man who greeted me on reception suggested I go up there and get a drink and have a look around. I did and it was stunning. Quiet, clean and welcoming. I got a drink and sat down taking in the view. I went downstairs and checked into my room. It was lovely. A very good size, 2 single beds, a good sized bathroom with a large shower that had both hand held shower head and a rain shower attached to the ceiling. There was a crack in the bottom of the shower but it didn’t affect my use. There was a comfy sofa, 4 drawers, shelves and hanging space too. There was a safe which I had access to. I also had a coffee machine, kettle and mini fridge in my room. The view from my balcony wasn’t amazing, it was of an abandoned hotel, however, this wasn’t an issue for me as I only used my room to sleep, shower and change as I was out a lot. I personally feel the food choice was fabulous. I was spoiled for choice. I tried to eat differently as much as I could. I never went to the main dining room for lunch but did for breakfast and dinner. The food was great quality and the staff in the restaurant were fantastic. They were welcoming, friendly, attentive and made me feel comfortable. As you can imagine, eating alone can be a little nerve wracking but the staff were wonderful. One gentleman suggested wine for me, which was lovely and then they would put the cork back in and keep it for the next night. The staff cleared away quickly between courses and kept the restaurant looking clean and tidy. Most evenings I went into the fun bar after dinner. They had different acts on and I think your like of this is personal as we don’t all like the same things. It’s clear they try to book acts for all ages. There were some acts that I preferred to others. Again, in here the staff were attentive, it was welcoming for all ages and the staff serve you at the table, again, they were all lovely. I mainly spent my days on the roof. The sun beds were comfortable and towels were provided. I used the jacuzzi and the pool numerous times. There were hot drinks, water, fresh orange juice, lager, cider, wines and Prosecco you could help yourself to, alongside some lovely foods, breakfast and lunch. There was also a fully stocked bar. Again, the staff were fantastic, attentive, chatty and friendly. One evening I was invited to a meal on the roof and it was absolutely beautiful. We had some Prosecco on arrival followed by a number of courses, all of which was very tasty. My glass was topped up with wine on request. It was a little windy up there, however the staff offered blankets, which was a nice idea. One day I went downstairs to the outdoor bar and order

Bed bug central! Myself and my partner stayed here last year and had a great time so thought we would book again for this year…. We had an absolute nightmare. 2nd day I discovered bedbugs in our room , my partner was absolutely covered in bites from head to toe. Hotel offered to move us room and wash our pajamas LOL others in the hotel, some that had been on the same flight as us had same problem and again moved rooms. Unfortunately, one of the guests bites became infected he had to go to hospital for steroid injections to the tune of £530 but where told by the hotel that it was ok as their travel insurance would cover it! Another one of the guests (221) who had bites on her upper body was advised by other guests around the pool to hit the mattress with the hot hairdryer to find out if the bites where intact bedbugs….the bugs crawled out the mattress. This hotel requires proper fumigation but instead is moving guests from room to room and refusing to accept liability for the problem . I was also scalded by 1 of the reception team for informing another guest checking in to the hotel (with a small baby) that they might want to check their beds! I was asked if I thought my behaviour was “appropriate”Absolutely diabolical attitude. In all honesty the reception staff in general didn’t seem fazed, genuinely apologetic or at all surprised by the discovery so seems it is something they are used to. I can now also see other reviews on here of the same nature. I am currently seeking legal advice and have made a formal complaint to both jet2 and spring hotel group. This is a 4 star hotel charging guests 4 star hotel prices , if they cannot keep customers safe during their stay then they should be closed. We will not be back.

This hotel is great ,very clean ,good food even though it can be alot of the same things..cakes are delicious. Pool ,with slide also an Adults only section very clean plenty sunbeds but they so close together you can only just walk in between them . Very clean everywhere. Rooms lovely and spacious. Entertainment very good ,kids minidisco and then an ACT,.Animation Team did a brilliant night on Friday. All staff are lovely, reception very helpful especially blue eyes sorry forgot his name. They have the UP adults only on the roof very nice and peaceful but food was not our thing. Maybe it needs to cater more English food, never ate anything and it was 25 euros each day. Overall it is a great hotel ,definitely come again . Lots places to eat and drink outside hotel and shopping galore .

This hotel was excellent for me and my wife. As soon as we stepped in the door we felt welcome and cared for. We were given an upgrade to a sea view and we didn't even ask. That really allowed us to see how much the staff cared about our time there. We were celebrating our marriage and once they knew they gave us a gift that was much appreciated. The hotel was clean and tidy everyday and we didn't see any problems there with how the hotel was managed. We had gone all exclusive and took full advantage of the drinks and food, it was always available and if the adult only pool bar was closed it was a quick trip to the main bar. We were never disappointed with the drinks. The buffet was always well stocked and had plenty of items to choose from, it was a nice mix of different food and the custom grill for over foods was a nice touch. Me and my partner both agreed that we would stay here again.

I’m not one to write reviews but I had to with this hotel! Our first family holiday - family of 4 with a 3.5 and 1.5 year old and we had the BEST time. Service - didn’t meet one rude person there. Bar staff were lovely, snack bar lovely, restaurant all lovely and reception too. Concierge who took our luggage was so nice, he was so happy and allowed my eldest to travel on his luggage trolley to the room. She loved it! Restaurant - I’m quite fussy with food abroad and I didn’t struggle in some areas at time but the grill made fresh fish, steak and chicken was my go too! Fresh eggs and omelettes in a morning too (along with the freshly squeezed orange juice!) Dessert was good too! Never went to lunch once as we loved the snack bar. Pizza, chips, nuggets etc. Whilst not the healthiest you just couldn’t go wrong for the kids. All inclusive - didn’t make the most of it with the kids but so impressed with the premium spirits. Tanqueray gin, grey goose vodka you can’t fault it! So many nice cocktails too! Room - wasn’t ideal being in a studio with the kids but clean enough, big beds, fresh towels when we needed and we also had a pool view room with the best view! Kids club - the park here was amazing for the girls when it was cloudy, and even better had a soft play. We never left any of the kids and stayed with them when they played but we loved the staff. They were so good with the kids and genuinely formed bonds with them! My girls loved them! They painted their faces, drew with them, danced with them and made sure they were never bored. They LOVED their mini disco too, became our routine at night! It was my husbands birthday while we were there and I emailed beforehand to sort a cake and they sang to him on his birthday in the restaurant then later that day brought a card and chocolates to the room for him. It was a lovely touch! Already looking at going back this time next year. Wasn’t too busy, easily got sun beds and plenty to keep the kids entertained. We miss it already!

I booked a 7 day all inclusive stay for myself and my four year old son. The cost was over 3k as they charge you an adult price for a child if you aren’t travelling with two adults. Which I initially did not mind as I thought booking all inclusive would mean less stress navigating travelling as a solo parent. On paper Bitacora ticks all the boxes until you arrive. Room - Two single beds which push away from each other with minimal force meant my son nearly fell through while sleeping - the hair dryer broke three times and wasn’t replaced until the end of our stay as they kept “repairing” it but the same fault kept tripping it so it wouldn’t blow air - there is no tv instructions which means unless you speak Spainish it’s useless Sunbeds /Pool - you have to queue early to get a bed in my opinion this is fine but the lifeguard then goes around and gives a 15 minute warning and removes your items if you aren’t sitting on the bed during 9-10am. As a solo parent this was a nightmare as I had to get my son over to breakfast between 8.10-8.50 to ensure I could get a bed near the pools, if he needed the bathroom or I was with him in the pool I’d get a warning or potentially have my stuff removed. There is a total lack of consideration for people travelling solo with kids and it’s completely unnecessary as I saw the life guard removing items on several occasions when there were other beds available so any comment on fairness is completely unreasonable and lacks knowledge of the actual use of the pool area - Cleanliness: one day the kids pool was closed due to a child using it as a toilet, another day a child had poured rocks from the plants down the slide steps and no member of staff came to clean and they were notified by several parents, a parent then went and cleaned it after several hours, bins often overflowing, pool toilets not cleaned during the day and the brown paper looks like poo on the floor- my son refused to use the pool toilets and we’d have to go indoors which required drying off as you aren’t allowed into the reception areas or poolside bar wet - poolside bar: you aren’t allowed in wet travelling alone made this extremely difficult to get drinks for my son and make sure he was hydrated as he always wanted to be in the pool for an all inclusive sun holiday resort this rule is unreasonable there should be a service that caters to people who have been in the pool. The hotel will likely say this is due to health and safety which is a cop out as many other hotels cater to wet people and also in regard to any lawsuit a person owes a duty of care to make sure they take precautions which would limit the hotels liability, once dry you have to queue from anywhere between 25-45 minutes and are only allowed 1 drink per person and a water so you basically spend your whole holiday queuing after paying a high price tag Food/Bars - I booked through the hotel and was told my all inclusive would work until 3pm, I tried to order snacks for my son

Just returned after spending 10 days at Spring Bitácora with my family. We had a wonderful time, hotel is in a great location. Rooms are decent size and clean. Food choice was really good. Staff in the hotel were extremely helpful and very friendly. Really want to call out the staff in the restaurant who work so hard to keep everything flowing. Daytime activities were great for families and the kids club was excellent Would strongly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning here in the future.

We have just come back from 1 week in the bitacora hotel and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at the hotel as they made our stay a real pleasure and on the last day we spent time looking into coming back next year, the last 2 holidays we have had haven't worked out and we really looked into this holiday as we really wanted to come away having had the best time, after reading some of the reviews on here some are really petty and I hope it doesn't stop people from coming. Hotel very pleasant, pools very nice , drinks and lunch time menu very good , all staff were very polite and all seemed very happy and the cleaners all said hello with a massive smile. Thank you bitacora for the memories and we will be rebooking for next year
