We were on a tour and were not able to pick hotels ourselves. If we were, I would not have picked this hotel myself. It is in the middle of nowhere. We couldn't just walk to the village and grab a bite to eat. It wasn't filthy, but wasn't the cleanest around. The staff was nice, however, they had an extremely small bar and it was hard to fit our whole party there. It's very chopped up in its layout. I definitely would not stay there again. It is an old Monastery, and with old Monasteries, they usually don't have the modern conveniences. There's also a difference between rustic and unclean. It is very old and tired. I would not sit in the sofas or old chairs they have there. They badly need to be replaced. The bathrooms, however were clean, which is a huge plus for me.

I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour group. The hotel sits in a beautiful Tuscan countryside. Food and service in the restaurant were quite good. Hotel definitely needs to be spruced up. Worn carpets and dirty walls were evident. The biggest issue was it was still warm and no AC was provided. I am aware that this is the case with all hotels in Italy at this time but the open windows here brought in all kinds of bugs including many mosquitos. We had bites all over our arms and lost sleep from all of the buzzing.

We stayed at this hotel as part of an organized biking trip so the hotel was selected by the tour company. It's a beautiful hotel with spectacular views of the Tuscan hills. Our room was huge and nicely appointed. The bathroom was large with a big walk-in shower. The grounds are beautiful and the pool a lovely way to relax after a day of biking the Tuscan hills. The breakfast, served in a separate all glass building, was plentiful and varied. We stayed for two nights and ate dinner both nights at the hotel - the food was delicious. Being in the countryside the area is very quiet and relaxing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The bikes were stored in a garage type building under lock and key with easy access to a charging station. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice place. Staff very accommodating, good food and wine selection. This a renovated historic villa, so the rooms are a little smaller than most Americans are used to, but they are nice and clean. The grounds are nice and there is a pool.

Wonderful base camp for rural Tuscany. Charming family run small hotel on a lovely site above Poggibonsi, with views, unique grounds, and friendly staff. Old world in every good way, including value.

This hotel was our base for exploring Tuscany, it is close to a church in a place full of vineyards and olive trees, a wonderful place, the hotel has a great breakfast with one of the best cappuccinos I had in Italy. I loved walking through the gardens, the rose bushes are wonderful and adorn the walls and gates. Enjoying a late afternoon in this place that seems frozen in time listening to the church bells was an incredible experience.

We recently stayed 3 nights in this old villa that is now a hotel. It is located outside town in a quiet neighborhood with the nearby church bells being the only notable noise. Our room (207) was good sized and had double sinks in the bathroom with plenty of space for our toiletries. The front desk staff was very eager to assist us when we needed anything. We ate breakfast each morning in their restaurant and it had a large variety of items on the buffet along with coffee made to order. The only issue that we had was with the WiFi connectivity. The speed was good, but we had to reconnect multiple times a day.

Staff were excellent, friendly. Breakfast largest variety of fresh, good food with lots fruits, healthy options while staff waited on you to bring you beverages. Rooms were tiny, musty, carpets stained and worn. I had to go up 3 steps to my tiny bathroom, then close the door to reach the sink and toilet as the bathroom was a narrow galley. Hot water for Shower was instant. However, shower stall was too small even for my petite self. Poor Wi-Fi signal. No elevator to third floor. A group outside my window was drinking, quite loud til 2 am
