Oporto Loft

Wonderful little hotel with many 5** attributes. Fabulous bed, linens, bathroom and curtains in an old home remodeled into a B&B. The breakfast features a nice selection of Portuguese pastries, fruits and cheeses. It is located a bit away from the main tourist attractions, without a lot of restaurants close by, but on a Main Street that is on the Hop on/ Hop off bus route. It’s proximity to the Palacio de Cristal is a huge plus!

Located away from the main tourist area but east to walk to anywhere in Porto or even Gaia if you are a walker. Room was comfortable and located at the back of house overlooking a lovely garden. Had to rearrange the items on the dresser to have a place to put suitcase. Room to hang some clothing and a small safe. The restaurant that shares the garden is quiet so doesn’t disturb the bedrooms. An amazing breakfast is included in price. Staff very attentive

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Oporto Loft Art Hotel in Late August. This boutique B&B is in a quite old refurbished home in the heart of Porto’s historic center. As I recall, it has five rooms / suites and each is quite different. We stayed in #3 which is on two floors. The living room is on the first floor and you climb a fairly steep “L" shaped staircase to get to the bedroom / bathroom suite. All of the rooms are somewhat odd shaped with angled walls and tall ceilings. Due to the irregular shape of the rooms, they are somewhat cramped in places, but still comfortable. Our room had a window/door onto the balcony which overlooks the back yard / garden which is very nice. The bed was very comfortable. Across from the bed is a standing mirror that incorporates a built in TV. A good space saver and pretty nifty, however, there is very little in the way of English programming to choose from. I should note that the bathroom is small and the floor is higher than the bedroom floor. The entrance presents a trip hazard. My wife did trip on it and slightly injured her arm as she fell against the sink. In lower level there is a mini-fridge that is stocked as well as coffee, wine and other items. There is also a price list and it appears that if you want any of these items (even coffee) they will be added to your bill. On the first floor is the breakfast room and breakfasts consist of an attractive array of fresh fruits, breads and pastries, meat and cheese as well as a full complement of beverages. The adjacent kitchen also is the kitchen for the restaurant called Jangal which is a fine dining place with very nice seating in the back yard gardens. Overall, Oporto Loft is a very pleasant and convenient place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. If we make it to Porto again, I think I would stay there again.

We stayed for 9 nights in Portugal and 3 were at Oporto Loft. The location is good and the breakfast simple but nice. The B and B is a historical home that was updated many years ago. We stayed in room #1 with no issues and #3 where I had an allergy to something in the room since I didn't have the symptoms anywhere else but that room.. I wasn't able to move rooms due to the hotel being full. We upgraded our travel package to 4 star places to stay but I am marking them down based on the cleaning and they are more like a 3-2.5 Star place. There are many areas they could do better with but they are a Mom and Pop business so I will leave it at this in hopes they can work on cleaning their units better.

The Oporto Loft is an absolutely lovely hotel. Our room (#1) was huge, beautifully furnished and looked out over a garden. The staff is kind, thoughtful and very helpful. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast. If we are lucky enough to visit Porto again we will definitely stay here!

Clean and lovely apartment. apartment has fridge, cooking facilities and eating utensils. A kettle and coffee making facilities are provided. Linen and towels are provided. The apartment is clean with modern interior. I felt safe at all times Centrally located close to old city. Easy walking distance . Lovely host We were picked up at the train station. Close to shops and restaurants
