My husband and I stayed at Hotel Vittoria during our honeymoon trip to Positano. Although September is one of the busiest months to visit the area, the hotel is located on a separate beach (about 10 minute walk) away from the main tourist area. It was extremely nice to be away from the chaos and have less people around. The beach club that the hotel is associated with had far less people visiting, and they offered price discounts on the chairs there. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly! The hotel had breakfast included and it was really great. The rooms were clean and had a very nice view of the town and the water. We will definitely be back one day! It was a fantastic place to stay and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it!

We had such a wonderful stay at hotel Vittoria. Altogether for our family holiday we booked out 3 rooms. The rooms were lovely - true authentic Italian decor, balconies and views from all angles of the hotel. Breakfast and coffee was wonderful. Staff really friendly. Porters on hand to help with the luggage and they have their work cut out with all the stairs. Yes there are stairs but there is everywhere in Positano. Out the back of the hotel you can walk directly down the stairs to Pupetto beach, which was one of our favourite in Italy. Highly recommend this hotel - we would return in a heartbeat.

you can have a nice view from the balcony and where the breakfast, which was very simple, is served........but , the location is HORRIBLE to go in or out of the hotel you had to climb 3 or more floors, I consider my self in a very good shape and this was very sad ........the price of the hotel is NOT worth it , the staff was very kind and helpful ., I don't recommend it for the location

The staff were lovely and breakfast was good. No pool, which resulted in us having nowhere to sit and relax during the day. Our balcony was very small and had little sun. There were just 2 chairs and a small table, but you had to be careful that you didn’t lean on the wall as there were many ants. If you go to the beach the sun loungers are 40 Euros per day if you want to be close to the sea! No tea and coffee making facilities in the room – just a fridge. We took a travel kettle which made a big difference. Large bathroom with excellent water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. Everyone should see Positano – but for a couple of days. Not for a week. 75 steps to our hotel – which was fine – but steps everywhere you went. Such a busy place especially when it's an Italian Bank Holiday.

There are so many choices in Positano, but we were so thrilled with our choice to stay at the Hotel Vittoria. Downtown Positano is extremely busy and quite touristy, while the Hotel Vittoria just a ten minute walk around the corner is much quieter. While it's of course still in a touristy area, the Fornillo neighborhood is at least less clogged with day-trippers. The best day of our trip to the Amalfi Coast was our day at the Vittoria's "Pupetto Beach Club" at Fornillo Beach, and the views from the Hotel Vittoria terrace were jaw-dropping. In four days there we never ceased to be amazed by the views, and we were so sad to leave. On top of all this, the staff at the Hotel Vittoria are excellent. They were extremely friendly and helpful, even booking a taxi for us when the ferries were canceled. If you're going to Positano but you want a slightly quieter neighborhood and a slightly quieter beach, we can't recommend Hotel Vittoria and Fornillo Beach strongly enough!

Hotel Vittoria was an INCREDIBLE boutique hotel that blew all expectations!! It’s was delightful staying somewhere with a limited number of rooms. We were in room 82 which had the largest outdoor terrace. Huge shoutout to Roberta. She worked the desk almost every night of our stay. She was incredible helpful and kind. The hotel serves a great complementary breakfast each morning. I typically made a plate and brought it back to my wife where we enjoyed it in our private terrace. They will make you coffee as well. In the evening they will also serve you any type of alcohol drink. The hotel is not accessible by car. We parked before approaching the hotel in a shared lot. The hotel then had two porters help get our luggage from the car park to the hotel. All extremely seamless. Being on Fornilla beach was a blessing. The one day we adventured to Positano down town was a harsh reality. There were SO many people - it was extremely congested and chaotic. As soon as we got back to Fornilla beach area. there was a sigh of relief. All of the restaurants were much less crowded. We enjoyed all 4 beach restaurants (down from the hotel). You just take their internal elevator to the lowest floor. This actually saves your some 250 steps. From the base level you are looking at another some 200 steps to reach the beach. The entire Positano area requires stairs. These beach restaurants “shacks” were some of our favorite spots! You will NOT be disappointed booking here. Extremely fair pricing with a great “home” like feeling. To the hotel management team, job WELL done!! Side note: we brought a sound machine which I would recommend. There seems to be a lot of dogs barking throughout morning and day time. This has nothing to do with the hotel as there are a lot of private homes. Just figured I would share this information :) Also: there is another elevator that does not work. It seemed some reviews said it’s possible to take a second external elevator in order to avoid the some 200 steps to the beach. This is officially a non-working elevator. Would be great if they ever decided to fix this. Although I’m sure it’s a costly endeavor.

We really loved our stay here in Positano. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! The rooms are very spacious, incredible balconies with sweeping views, quiet, great shower pressure, very clean and run by a lovely family who are happy to help you with anything and everything. The buffet breakfast is also great and the views from the terrace are magnificent. Complimentary coffee, scrambled eggs, bacon, yoghurt, fruit, toast, croissant, as you please. The beds are very comfy, the room is very spacious and clean. I would’ve loved to stay longer, it felt like a real vacation here where you are looked after. There’s only about 20 rooms in the hotel so it feels nice and quiet and not too busy around you. The hospitality and helpfulness of the staff/ reception is fantastic. They are kind and helpful and made our stay so much more comfortable (if that was possible). Thank you again!!! Will recommend to all family and friends when they ask where to stay in Positano.
