I wonder if the last hotel on any trip struggles to live up to the rest because of the end of holiday ennui? Maybe. That aside, this is a really nice hotel in which to stay. It’s out of the town, so quiet, but you will need to find transportation if you want to look around Puño itself. The car area is small and offers a limited menu and a good range of drink. Food is brought up from the restaurant below and might not be the swiftest service as a result. The restaurant itself was good though lacking in atmosphere. In the low season the hotel was clearly quite empty and I felt that the service here was somewhat perfunctory, especially at breakfast. There’s a private walkway across the reed beds to a pier. This was great for seeing bird life though, as with much of the lake, there’s a huge amount of rubbish floating in the reeds. Such a shame ( and no reflection on the hotel at all!) A good room (119) though the description of lake view terrace is a bit optimistic. I suggest rooms in the 200s would be a good choice.

A little way out of town but amazing views from the terrace and our bedroom. The bedroom was of a good nice and well appointed. The staff on reception were excellent, arranging a smooth early check in. The dining room was nice, although on the ground floor rather than higher up which would have afforded better views of the lake. The bar area was excellent with a nice open fire and good bar snacks. A very relaxing stay.

It's the fourth time we've stayed in Casa Andina, and we like it. Food and service are always impeccable with the staff so attentive and aware. They helped us get into.a local dentist as I had issues with my teeth. The massages we had were brilliant (although not an hour as advertised). Rooms are a little tired for a 'Premium' and it's a shame there's a sports TV in the cozy, fire lit bar.

This location is out of the town so need to book a taxi if want to have options for dining. The lake views are great, although we had a room facing the street, there was a small balcony which was nice to get some air. The rooms were well equipped if a little small. We ate in the restaurant on one night the restaurant is a little way away from the main building and the food was a little disappointing in terms of service and the room was rather cold. Breakfasts both days were extremely limited in choice compared to other casa andina premiums were stayed in over our stay. I struggled as I did a lot in Peru to have many vegetarian choices at dinner, but was ok. We went into town on the second night and the reception booked our taxi and also let us know where the sister city centre hotel was so we could go there for them to book our taxi home, which was a really nice. The bar area is nice with a log burner which was welcome as when we visited it was pretty cold in the evenings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view from the lobby balcony is incredible, and the staff was very kind. We were attended by Jimmy who promptly helped us with our bags and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was very comfortable, although we could hear the guests from the next room, which is the only small con of our stay. Everything else was perfect.

The big advantage of this hotel is its lakeside location. It has a boardwalk right down to the lake. We had a lake view room, but the balcony had only one chair! There was only one chair in the room, which was not suitable for taking outdoors to the balcony. We had two suitcases and there wasn't enough floor space to open them both, without blocking access to the wardrobe. (This was billed as a superior room). The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom accessories were good. The blackout blind was useful, although we had an early start each of the two mornings that we stayed there. The bar area was cosy and the service was very friendly. As for the restaurant, we had breakfast included and we were not a bit impressed. There was very little choice of hot food and it wasn't very hot. We thought the bread was dry, but in fairness we found that to be the case in most hotels in Peru. I hate to be negative but this hotel does not live up to the Premium title. The Casa Andina in Cusco is far better.
