Insotel Punta Prima Resort

Absolutely perfect!! The resort location, the apartment lovely and clean (cleaned daily). The food, great variety and the 2 restaurants we booked were lovely. Staff and entertainment staff amazing, kids club fab my daughter didn't want to leave

I do not normally write reviews, however, I feel inclined as I’d hate for anybody else to spend/waste money on this hotel. We arrived on the 18th September. We were extremely worried about arriving due to multiple reports of hand foot and mouth cases on the hotel Facebook page. We were particularly worried due to having a 5 month old baby. However, appreciate this is not the hotels fault but they could have managed it more appropriately. We arrived at around 12pm, luckily our room was ready. Large complex, nice surroundings/garden areas well tended to. Steep hills and probably not appropriate for disabled people. It was a struggle with the pram. Rooms were extremely dated and basic. We were in a ground floor apartment and the noise from next door and above apartment was ridiculous . Paper thin walls and every footstep, conversation and bangs heard at all hours. The apartments had maid service daily. However, during our 11 day stay the bedding was changed only once. Towels changed daily. Floors and bathroom extremely dirty, hairs around bath and grime in between tiles. Strong smell of urine around toilet area. Initially had a drying rack outside which was taken the evening we arrived. Requested a replacement four times and took days to arrive. Two large bottles of water provided in room on arrival, however, never replenished. Almost seemed impossible to get a bottle of water in the hotel. Only plastic glasses of warm water served around the pool/bar areas. Ended up buying multiple bottles for the room. Glass water bottles provided in the dining room but not allowed to take back to room. Internet/wifi did not work, had to ask reception to fix this which they did after a few hours. Our son’s shoes were stolen from outside the front of the apartment on the first night. Advised that other guests had items stolen also. The food was ok, always plenty of choice for our family of 5. Very poorly labelled and allergy advice very unclear. Due to having a severe allergy, spoke with chef who briefly showed me what was safe to eat, however, this was rushed and he did not seem sure. I stuck to basics as I was worried. The food hall/buffet was like a cattle market. It was so unbelievably busy with huge queues. The staff are overrun in the buffet restaurant. They would also often take your plate before you’d finished your meal. Did not enjoy the restaurants that were included. We went to il faro which was poor and the same with aire. We did not end up returning to the other restaurants which we had booked due to this. One of our party also felt unwell following the meal at aire (he had the calamari which tasted off). The pool areas looked nice at first glance, however, they were extremely dirty. Plastic glasses left scattered and not regularly cleaned. Sticky patches everywhere where drinks has been spilled and not cleaned up. We were often up early with our baby so would walk around the complex. We would see staff members lightly spraying the floor

Beautiful resort. My husband is in a wheelchair and we took his own electric wheelchair. This was very needed as the resort is spread out and parts of it we couldn’t reach as the pathways were too steep. We booked through Tui who had recommended a ground floor room with a walk in shower and the hotel honoured this and put us in the less hilly part of the resort which was great. The superior apartment was very spacious and kept really clean by the excellent staff.The restaurant was amazing food and the staff were really helpful putting us on a table close to the food. The swimming pools were kept beautifully clean and you could always get snacks and drinks at anytime of day. The downside that I would like to warn other people with a disability is that the hotel reception recommended a company that hires mobility scooters and organised one to be delivered to the site. We had to pay 120 euro and 100 euro deposit. When we picked up the scooter it wasn’t in the best condition but we foolishly accepted it. On the third day of hire my husband had ridden it to the top of the resort and was sitting before getting off and suddenly the back broke and he fell on his head, grazing his head , neck and side. The restaurant got the dr and ice was applied and even though he decided not to go to hospital he spent the rest of the day in his room recovering and is still suffering the effects now. However what happened next was even more terrible. The hire company: holiday hire would not take responsibility and said it was his fault. While resting they picked up the scooter and the reception handed over the deposit to the company because they said he had broken the scooter! We are asking the hotel not to use this company as they have no concern for the needs of disabled people. If you go to this hotel do not use holiday hire find your own scooter; there are other much better companies. This resort is beautiful and ok for disabled people as there are ramps in most places but I wouldn’t recommend a manual wheelchair unless you are very fit!

One of the best places I have stayed at. Lovely spacious apartment set in beautiful and very clean grounds. Big shout out to the fantastic entertainment team. The food was great and I loved breakfast it filled me up for the day . also so much variety and gorgeous desserts. Housekeeping very good. The pools were wonderful. Top pool best choice if you want a quieter time as bottom pool was for more louder and lively people. There’s a great little shop just before you get to top pool. Staff here are so nice. We took the bus into Mahon on Saturday as they have a market. It’s such a nice ride too. As I said the entertainment team are so good. My little ones loved the mini disco and us adults loved the Queen tribute, the Beijing acrobats, The walk of fame and more. The team was performing till late and then it seemed working early next morning. I swear the young lad with the blonde hair on top and dark hair underneath (very good looking) was everywhere. On our last night the team was on the dance floor with everyone joining in the dancing it made my night and I will never forget that feel good factor. There is only one negative and that’s the supposed lifeguards. My granddaughter got into difficulties in the top pool and went under the water, my daughter luckily swam to her in the nick of time but the lifeguard hadn’t noticed and there was at times no lifeguard in the bottom pool and when he was there all he done was look at his phone. Totally unacceptable and needs looking into. As we checked out I actually felt emotional. I didn’t want to go home. Thankyou Insotel Punta Prima I had the best time, hope we see you soon x

Just returned from a week’s holiday and we have nothing but great things to say about the hotel. Firstly the staff cannot do enough for you, are hardworking and very friendly. The hotel grounds and rooms are very clean and well kept. Great for families with children as lots to do and plenty of choices of pools/play areas. Our 18 month old loved the mini disco, kids pools, play areas indoor and outdoor. The food was excellent and lots to choose from. We really enjoyed the Italian that we booked one evening I would recommend booking early as they can get booked up quickly. This hotel was recommended to us and we will definitely be returning next year looking forward to seeing you all again in 2025!

Don't listen to bad reviews we are here at present .the food is really good lots of choice and been hot .the labelling isn't great so if have any allergies take care It's not a 5 * as the official Spanish rating but a decent 4 * . Rooms are basic but clean and very suitable. If you do have mobility issues than avoid unless in.a wheelchair or using a scooter. There are plenty of ramps and walk ways instead of steps. We emailed the.hotel prior to arriving and as asked they have placed us in the centre of the resort. Tui need to mention in their hotel Info about the steep hill. Aside from the.hill having a fab holiday.
