Qingdao Huangdao District Hotels

We booked 2 x rooms to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday, and the staff went over and above to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. I especially want to mention Ms Lillian Kong, who was very friendly and could speak English very well. She upgraded both our rooms to seaview rooms, which was amazing. We purchased a bundle deal, which included buffet dinner and breakfast, and the food was delicious. This hotel and staff receives our highest ratings! 

Only stayed one night. Unfortunately I had to endure a cold shower. There was no hot water in my room. The hot food breakfast options, including the coffee in the buffet breakfast were all lukewarm. No refund provided as the manager wasn’t there on check out. Disappointing stay.

The table light was broken , please repair. All were good and breakfast was wonderful! Nearest station is Dingjiahe Station (LINE 1) exit D, but need to walk about 8 minutes passing a park. Only cost CNY8 from Jiaodong Intl AirPort!!

The hotel environment is good. Although the facilities look old, they are very clean and tidy. The room reserved in advance was also reserved for us, which is great! I personally have airway hypersensitivity. Someone smokes in the corridor for more than an hour every night, and the smell of smoke will drift into the room. I cough and feel chest tightness and shortness of breath. The front desk also helped to negotiate well and asked the smoking brother to go back to the terrace of the room to smoke. He also apologized to us sincerely and sent us a fruit plate. The service and problem-solving of this hotel are really great. The only unpleasant thing is check-out. It was cold and I ate seafood the night before. On May 6, I had diarrhea. Originally, 2 o'clock was the normal check-out time, but I had diarrhea, so I asked how much it would cost for delayed check-out. The front desk said that whether it was 4 o'clock or 6 o'clock, it would be charged 200. We asked if there would be a discount for the 4 o'clock refund. If not, we would pay normally or renew it for another day because the diarrhea continued. Without waiting for the front desk to reply whether there was a discount, at 2:25, when I was looking for wet toilet paper on the coffee table in front of the TV with my bare butt, the door was brushed open by the cleaning staff! ! ! Although I am a girl and the cleaning lady is also a woman, I still feel weird when the cleaning lady came in with her bare bottom! The cleaning lady said that her phone showed that this room was checked out, so she swiped the card in. We waited until 4 o'clock and the front desk still didn't respond, so I ordered another night from another app. Then when I checked out on May 7, I checked out at 2 o'clock normally, but the front desk kept urging me to check out, saying that 200 would be deducted if it exceeded 2:30. I had my period at noon on the 7th, and I was anxious to pack up, but fortunately I checked out at around 2:30. I am very grateful for giving 30 minutes, but the cleaning lady swiped the card in, and I was a little weird when I saw the cleaning lady looking for wet toilet paper with diarrhea. I hope the check-out process can be improved! Overall good review! Clean and tidy, the service attitude is also very good, and it can solve the problem 👍I just hope that the problem of swiping the card directly without checking out can be improved.

hotel was perfect! but it was way too far from my weekend destination. spent some extra time on the metro. enjoyed the fabulous room and bathtub. super friendly and helpful staff.

Overall the hotel staff and service are 4 star. What makes the hotel 5 Star are the rooms and facilities. It is clean, safe, and well maintained. To be fair, I did arrive in early April during the off-season but I was not impressed with the service provided. Staff was consistently difficult to find, or would be crowded all in the lobby. Check-In and Check out was easy and the staff are very nice. International guests be aware, few to no staff speak English or communicate in any other language. The breakfast was not good. Cold and hard food, empty plates, drinks and foods not being refilled, and then having the lights turned off after breakfast was finished being served. Few selections, mainly cheap foods and breads. There are no staff outside, during my time there. No bell hops, no one to guide you to the front desk (Because it is not easy to find at first), no one to help with your luggage. A single staff member stands at the front of the lobby after you enter to greet you. Positives - The room was spacious and very clean. It had most things I needed and the quality of the room and bathroom was excellent. The balcony looked over the courtyard and the ocean which people can see you if you go out but was a nice addition. The island the hotel is on has everything close by and most taxis/Didi’s will pick you up within five minute The area has been developing for many years and is getting better each year. The Qingdao Beer Festival ground are close by (about 30 minutes drive) during the summer, but most activities are in the city about one hour drive away for the rest of the year. For this hotel, the room and facilities are the focus as they are well taken care of and maintained. I am not sure if I would return.

It's a Sheraton. Solid choice. However, if you've not been to Qingdao before, the hotel is on the West coast. 30km away from downtown Qingdao.

the service of the hotel was excellent, they were cooperative and friendly. The location of the hotel is also close to the shopping mall, food courts, and other necessary services.

some of the common areas were a little shabby but the inside of the room was beautiful and the view was great. Getting to the nearby market was a bit of a walk but that is the only negative I have about my stay. The service was good and the breakfast was good as well.
