Most Booked
Our top hotel picks are based on price, location, and guest reviews to help you find the best stay.
The place is a bit old now but it's expected with the price, which comes with a small buffet breakfast and parking at the front. It is close to the ski resort and staff is friendly. It has ten pin bowling right next to its own restaurant if you want something to do after hours. There is also a pub just across the road if you don't want to drive back to town. If we come back to ski we'll stay there again!
Your own self contained, private detached chalet with outside space - check!Own deck & BBQ - check!Clean, modern and setup with full kitchen - check!Come and join us at our secluded property overlooking the Shotover River. Situated up a 500m long driveway, you'll be staying at chalet positioned 15m away from the main house with its own parking & access. With a full open plan kitchen / lounge, bathroom and 2 bedrooms (1 x Queen, 1 x Bunk beds) + deck with views across to the Remarkables mountains and down to the Shotover RiverYou'll be set to enjoy a quiet environment surrounded by private woodland or venturing out to the local ski fields, lake or many other activities in and around Queenstown, which is only 7 minutes away by car.*** Notes - Due to the nature of the property being set on a steep incline nestled in a natural woodland there are no fenced in areas, therefore children should be supervised at all times outside of the chalet. On the plus side it means that natural wildlife like wild goats, quail, rabbits and even the odd mountain deer can be seen from time to time.Due to its seclusion and privacy, the property is situated up a shared un-sealed driveway. We therefore recommend that a car is essential to get to and from the property (500m from main road) that threads its way through the trees from the main road up to where you will be staying.During winter a 4WD capable vehicle is required in addition to carrying snow chains and being comfortable if you need to use them. ***About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Children should be supervised outside..About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.

If you would like a holiday with a difference you can have the ultimate, quirky barn experience!! Our FULLY insulated, although it may not appear so in the photos, family barn is cosy and warm with all the comforts of home. End walls insulated and roof ( between TWO layers of corrugated iron ). Apple TV with free Netflix, unlimited broadband, wood burner and even a billiard table! Themed throughout as a rustic barn with many things to see and do it has rustic ambiance yet with a touch of the unusual! Ideal for a couple or up to 5 people. Already set up with a permanent king size bed. If you require extra single or double beds please let me know. Our barn is a tunnel barn that has been upgraded with insulation and a second layer of roof making it even cosier for the winter and beyond! It has a wooden staircase up to a mezzanine floor which is open to below. The bedroom upstairs has wall to wall carpet with a permanent king size bed. We also have fold-up camp style beds with thick foam mattresses rather than the usual skimpy ones! These can be placed upstairs or downstairs as singles or two pushed together as a double. Please read the House Rules for details of this. Downstairs is open plan with a polished concrete floor with some carpet and rugs, rustic style kitchen, bathroom, wood fire and a billiard table. The kitchen has an electric oven, microwave and fridge/freezer if you were thinking you might have had to cook on a primus stove and store your food out under a tree! There's most of the essential things a normal kitchen would have. The internal bathroom has a shower, washing machine and civilized toilet but it does have a 'pull chain' just for the fun of it! We also have a clothes dryer in an adjoining room. There is also foozball, darts, cards and board games. Table and chairs provided inside and out. Throw open the big doors so you can soak up the amazing view of the surrounding mountains even from inside! The Barn is located on a lower ledge of land, below and quite separate but in close proximity to our house. It is situated in a quiet, sheltered corner of land overlooking and surrounded by awesome scenery. While there is a newly completed, housing subdivision below, The Barn is on a higher level with majestic mountain views. An access road up to The Barn enables you to drive all the way up to the door with level entry. There is room to turn around and park on site.I prefer to personally greet my guests and show them through on arrival. Being a barn and not a normal house there are a few things you need to know. Hopefully I will be available during your stay but if I was to go away for a couple of days family members live close by and would be available to assist if needed. The Barn previously had a single iron roof (now two layers) enabling full insulation so that it is even cosier for the winter months and beyond! You can fire up the woodburner.... wood provided and there are other heaters. There is Apple TV with free Netflix and there is unlimited Broadband available. Yay!! I also have nearby, my late mother Jill's, 500 strong Modern Porcelain Doll Collection, housed in its own small museum. You are welcome to view this at no charge on request. As I live up above The Barn you can walk up the track or drive up. No need to bring bottled water.....we have the purest, alpine, mineral water (from a private scheme) you could ever imagine coming straight out of our tap, tested regularly and no chemicals added! Every endeavor is made to use and provide Eco friendly consumables where possible. Due to the health risks associated with 5G and if you have this capability on your cellphone, I will respectfully ask that you default to a 4G setting during your stay at this property.About pets:No pets allowed.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Wooden staircase rising from a concrete floor..About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.
Family-friendly alpine hideaway, 7 minutes from central Queenstown and 5 minutes to Coronet Peak. Wake up to mountain views, relax by the fireplace, and cook in a fully equipped kitchen. Tucked away on a quiet street, you’re moments from Onsen Hot Pools and Shotover Jet.With warm timber finishes and inviting touches, this three-bedroom chalet is the perfect base for alpine adventures or slow mornings. Ideal for families or small groups wanting to unwind in comfort after a day of exploring.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.
Late arrivals welcome!ATTRACTIVE, WELL APPOINTED, FULLY SELF CONTAINED, ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT on our very private, elevated site overlooking Arthur's Point with surrounding, spectacular mountain views. Lots of sunshine, mostly sheltered and apart from the odd squeal from Shotover Jet's clients in the Canyon, very peaceful and quiet! If you like to be slightly out of town but still close enough to access all that town has to offer this may be the place for you. Free Netflix/Unlimited Broadband.THE SPACEThe apartment is situated at the far end of my home but with quite separate access and parking. It has a well appointed lounge, bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. There is a small outside deck with table and chairs. While there is a washing machine in the kitchen for your own use, a communal clothes dryer is located in a separate semi-outdoor area close by. This is accessed along a path behind the apartment and may at times be shared by myself. Iron and ironing board available on request.GUEST ACCESSAccess to the 2 acre property is along an approximately 1 km unsealed road. The last half km is uphill where recent forestry work has taken place. As a result of the work the road has been roughened up a little but still ok to drive. The apartment itself and views from our 2 acre section more than make up for the approach! Summer months are fine however during the winter months there may be the odd time when snow falls on the road (usually only once or twice in a season). I have a four wheel drive vehicle to help out if this happens or the option of parking your car at a lower level accessed by a path. There is easy, flat, private parking on site at the back of the flat and two wooden steps up onto the deck leading to the front door. There is a rustic back yard due to the nature of the site but I have endeavoured to make it attractive in an ecclectic way! Main view is to the beautiful mountains.OTHER THINGS TO NOTEA porta cot for an infant is available that fits in the bedroom but could also be used in the lounge. On site my late mother, Jill's, 500 strong Modern Porcelain Doll Collection is housed in a small museum building. You are welcome to view this at no charge on request. Please note that I have our friendly Siberian Husky, Diesel on site. He is not running loose but tied on a long run near in proximity to the front of the flat.No need to bring bottled water.....the purest, alpine, mineral water you could ever imagine comes straight out of the tap from a private water scheme. No chemicals added and tested regularly!Every endeavor is made to use and provide Eco friendly consumables where possible. During winter months there are cosy winter sheets!.About pets:No pets allowed.About children:Adults only.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.
Location was honestly excellent and unbeatable, it’s right next to a bus stop where coaches pick you up for the Milford sound day tour. It’s also a short walk to the steamer wharf area, <5 mins. The girls at the reception were friendly. We had no issues with only being able to access the room after 2pm. The room itself was cosy. This seems to be one of the only rooms with a king bed and private toilet - it’s called Lucy’s room. However, it was really dusty - see the dust we cleaned off the window ledge. I am allergic to dust, so I had to wipe it down myself.. There is a pub nearby so music can be heard all the way till 3/4am on Saturday night, so not recommended if you are a light sleeper. We had a quieter night on Sunday though! If I could do it again, I would have topped up the $50-$60 to book Crowne Plaza, which was also in an equally prime spot.
