Hotel Manuel Antonio Park

The ceiling in our bedrooms was flaking and cracked with chipped/pieces missing and needs to be repaired Commentary breakfast was flavorless with small portions. we ordered an extra fruit plates that contained small portions of fruit on it 1 banana, a couple small pieces of pineapple, some watermelon and a couple pieces of papaya and which we said we would pay for but it was way over priced for what we got. Bathroom had one small window and very dim lighting their complementary toiletries were 3 very small bars of soap and toilet wouldn't always flush unless you stood there and held the handle down. Except for 1 staff member the rest of the staff was not overly engaging Check in was slow and it is the first time I have stayed some where that we had to personally return all our towels/face clothes, used and unused, and remote to the registration desk upon check out. Sheets were clean, beds comfortable, AC worked well. Beautiful pool area although the water did look questionable and I would not take children there in the late afternoon or evening. More of an adult environment It is very close to the beach and park, lots of wildlife visitors including monkeys. Beautiful flowers and foliage, Hotel was overpriced for what it is, there are much nicer and less expensive hotels in the area.

Got 2 rooms: parents & kids. Had air conditioning which worked great. Maid service was good & daily if you want. Pool was nice place to drink & cigar at night. Right near by the Park entrance. Convenient store & Gelato store about 100 - 200 yards from hotel near Park entrance. Also walk down hill to beach & restaurants. Decent breakfast. Had TV, ESPN/NFL was on otherwise everything else in Spanish. Wifi was good to stream.

(English below) Si vous voulez une chambre et seulement une chambre, nous donnons alors un 3 étoiles car certaines chambres ont été rénovés, mais si vous rechercher un établissement avec du service ou de la flexibilité vous cognez au mauvais endroit! Malheureusement pour cet hôtel le personnel est clairement malheureux et peut-être mal traité par la gestion de par nos observations, mais clairement je n’avais jamais vécu une expérience comme ceci. A notre arrivée personne pour nous accueillir, nous cherchons et finalement on trouve. Le lendemain nous demandons des serviettes pour la piscine mais on nous refuse, bon ok? Un autre soir nous demandons s’il est possible de nous donner quelques fruits car notre excursion du lendemain est avant l’ouverture du resto (nous avons le petit déjeuner inclus), encore une fois impossible d’avoir même un pain! Pour combler le tout la journée de notre départ un transport vient nous chercher et la réception refuse d’aider le chauffeur. If you only need a room, we’ll give 3 stars because some have been renovated, but if you want a nice experience and friendly staff - stay away! We’ ve never seen this type of attitude. Staff very unfriendly, maybe even be poorly treated by management form what we observed. Refused to give us pool towels, refused to provide fruits or bread on the evening before an excursion (we had breakfast included), but had to leave before the opening of the restaurant. On the day of our departure, we had a transport picking us up but the staff refused to help the chauffeur when asking for us??

Hotel administration disables electricity from 3 to 5 am, leaving the guests without means to freshen the room in a very hot night, as rooms have no windows to open. We stayed here over other places looking for a night of comfort near by the park. It would have been better staying with the fan-based room at the cheap hostel near by. I won’t return nor refer this place to anyone, ever.

Stayed here 2 nights as part of a guided group with Exodus. Initial impressions not good, exterior grounds are scruffy. Hotel management not very friendly, we were told we couldn’t use the chilled water at breakfast to fill our drinking bottles. My room was in a refurbished block and surprisingly good but the other single traveller in our group was allocated a dreadful room and when she complained was offered a worse one. Has a nice pool though and breakfast was good. Best thing is that it’s only 5 mins walk from the national park.

Totally disorganized and could not find our reservation. The rooms except for one building are totally dated, we had to move twice. And even the modern room we were moved into had toilet paper stuffed into a crack in the door. They only gave us one key. Coffee was terrible juices were not fresh squeezed.
