Planeta Sano Hotel

The restaurant took quite a while for dinner yesterday night, although it was really tasty. The prices are a bit high as a turística hotel would have, but the happy hour from 4-6pm is great! Very friendly service and atmosphere at this place, but it's hard to get up the hill

The entry to this hotel is on an unpaved, one-lane road off the main road. Be careful of the blind turn off/on the main road. Once on the dirt road, there’s signs for the hotel, but no arrows to say which way to go! A GPS is helpful here. The hotel has a main building with all the rooms and a villa down the hill. We rented the villa. Check-in was fast and friendly. We were given welcome drinks of fresh watermelon juice. They have water and coffee available 24/7 at the main entrance. The villa was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. They came in and cleaned the villa every day. We had 3 separate A/C units to keep the unit cool. The wifi was free and fast. We had plenty of hot (or at least very warm) water for back to back showers. The covered porch was a nice retreat, although it only has one lounge chair. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer and stove/oven. We had plenty of pots and pans to cook on the stove, but no oven mits or baking pans. We needed to go to the front desk to get a lighter to start the stove and oven. There was a sponge and dish soap, but no dish towel or drying rack. There was coffee and sugar, but no oil or spices for cooking. We really enjoyed the use of the pool. The water was clean and warm. Breakfast was included and was filling and delicious. It included rice and beans, eggs, sausages, fried plantains, pancakes (some mornings), fresh fruit, cereal, toast, coffee, juice (a different one each morning). They gave us a ticket for pool/beach towels. When we were finished with the towels. It was easy to exchange them back for the ticket again. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Even the staff who didn’t speak English always had a smile and a “Buenos Dios” for us. I recommend a car for this location. It’s quite a hike to the Main Street / bus stop. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. I’d book this location again

Ac was good, great view, You can see the entire beach! Happy hour was great as well, having that available for 2 hours enhance our enjoyment. Thank you for everything, I can’t wait to come back. Will recommend to all my friends, next time we come to costa rixa

On a secluded hilltop, this turquoise and white gem has it all: great view, clean pool, friendly bar (with Happy Hours), large rooms with balconies, and tempting meals all day. The road up was a bit bumpy but absolutely worth it (and definitely not the worst we’ve driven in CR). Super bonus for us is its proximity to Manuel Antonio National Park.

Nothing nicer than a great view, a friendly staff, a great breakfast and a spacious room. Close to perfect. The staff could not be more accommodating. Imagine waking up in a tropical forest overlooking the Pacific. Add a pool and a private balcony and you are in paradise.

This place is badly managed. There are wonderful helpful friendly people working there. Restaurant continually under staffed, one trying to do the work of 6. It's sad to watch. All prices are high which would not be terrible if service was 5 star. They were out of stock of avocados, yuca,grain bread and Corona beer! What? We had the nicer room for 4 nights so got to know and watch what was going on. Our bathroom was horrible. No opening windows,no fan, no counter or shelfs and 1 hook. Not practicle. For an eco friendly outfit, their toilet ran continually. Don't expect to see any animales birds etc... within the grounds as they have music blaring all day and evening. I would not recomend.
