"We had a lovely stay of two nights here. We had a private room with AC. The pool was a lovely place to unwind in the evening. We met lots of interesting people (although I think we skewed the average age of guests by about 10 years). The rooms were nice, beds comfortable, staff helpful and friendly. Location was good, within walking distance of anything your needed."

"We had a fantastic stay at Tulemar Bungalows! Our concierge, Freddy Bennett, was readily available to assist with anything we needed throughout our stay. Everyone on staff is so kind and helpful! The bungalows are tucked into the hillside with lush tropical foliage and so much wildlife you can see right from your room. We saw squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, white faced capuchin monkeys, scarlet macaws, and sloths daily! Staying at Tulemar was such a wonderful experience. We cannot wait to return!"

"This hotel was really cute and clean, and the dorm rooms weren’t bad for dorm rooms… The pool was nice the cold tub which is like a hot tub with cold water, was great. Literally nothing bad I can say about this place other than its location. Which I know they can’t do anything about but everybody online recommended staying in Quepos and I don’t know why, because it’s horrible. Yes, you can get picked up from your hotel to go out on excursions but if you’re there without a car, there’s literally nothing to walk to or do in Quepos without paying to go on an excursion! They recommend Sofa Sanchez to eat, everyone seems to, and it was modern but not great."

"Tulemar is somewhere that needs to stay as special as it is, and is thus almost too good to share, but I know this benefits Tulemar, so I am writing it anyway! This was one of the best holidays of my life, and I have travelled! The balance of wildlife, excellent service, high-quality accommodation, gorgeous swimming pools, a beautiful beach and walkable dining options is simply perfect. We booked for 7 nights and reshuffled our plans so we could stay 2 more. I'm not a fan of going to the same place more than once, but can say with my hand on my heart we will 100% be back, and we travelled 23 hours to get there! Thank you to the wonderful staff at Tulermar, especially Jean-Carlo for his kindness and patience, and Isaac the golf cart driver who always put a smile on our face and gave us one of our Costa Rica highlights when he showed us a baby sloth. Please book the Sloth Tour when you are there! Seeing this gorgeous creatures without the tour is quite tricky, but once you've done the tour you know where to look. All the money goes to the Sloth Institute, a non-profit organisation doing amazing things to help improve the lives of these gentle, gorgeous animals. What a place! It will stay in our hearts forever. Thank you for the beautiful memories our family made together. Pura Vida! Claire, Philipp & Harvey."
