My wife and I spent 4 nights at Shana just up the street, and decided we’d spend a night somewhere different. The pros - The views are fantastic (mostly - I’ll get to that) The pool area is nice-ish. Pretty small, and partially modernized it seems. The cons - It appears as though it has been partially renovated, but it is in desperate need of full renovation. Our bathroom was redone, poorly, but the bedroom didn’t appear as though it had been touched. The lock on the balcony didn’t really close properly. Not great with the monkeys hanging around. Parking is brutal. Only a few spots so get there early if you can! The female staff were nice, however some of the men seemed a little odd. There is a huge building going up right in front of the hotel (see photo) which definitely impacts the view. Thankfully we were on the top floor but it’s still an eyesore. Long story short - stay at the Shana as it’s a way better vibe all around, with great staff, and a fantastic breakfast too :)
