"Really loved everything about this hotel - from my stay to the food and it’s location close to the city centre. Will definitely choose to stay here every time I visit Reading! Staff is really friendly and helpful as well - they knock on the door every morning the room!"
"I mostly really liked this hotel - the room was nice, shower was good, staff were friendly and the breakfast was great! There was one big problem though - the hotel is right next to a dual carriageway and the noise from the road below in my room was horrendous! I probably will give them another try and request a room away from the road next time, but if I get another room in the same location my next trip will probably be my last, even though i liked everything else about the hotel."
"A great room for a solo traveller, a huge king size bed and all facilities. They do tend to put singles in the Wellington lodge which is a 10 minute walk to the pool facilities."

"Hotel staff was attentive and available all night. Location is ideal for Reading train station just a 5minute walk away. The room was small but adequately equipped and quiet."
"Located in the city center, a five-minute walk from the train station, there are many surrounding living facilities. The rooms are clean and well-equipped and cleaned once a week. There is no air conditioner and the temperature in Britain has been high recently, which is a bit difficult to receive. In addition, the surrounding bars were full of enthusiasm and it was not until the middle of the night that they could be quiet."
"Enjoyed our stay. Staff very friendly. Room clean and good size. Would have liked a more varied breakfast with cereal/toast Would visit again if ever in Reading."

Great
GGuest UserI enjoyed my stay because the room is big enough with large toilet and everything is clean , the food is perfect as well the only problem is that even if the heating is already at 30 drgrees still cold but the staff came to bring me additional portable heating , All thier staff is kind helpful and very courteous , Excellent !
AAnonymous UserI have to give a good review. This is the hotel I stay at every time I come to Reading. It is quiet and clean. Every song in the lobby is very beautiful! The front desk and room service staff are very enthusiastic. The restaurant is very quiet. Every morning, no matter how many people there are, it is very quiet! Well-organized!
AAnonymous UserPerfect for me as it’s right across from the office but probably not so great if you wanted to be in the city centre although it’s only an £8 taxi ride or £2 bus ride. Opposite a Beefeater which was handy but I would prefer an on-site bar and restaurant. Felt a bit uncomfortable on check-in to be asked if I was a smoker (I’m not) and if anyone would be joining me later 😳. Didn’t like the bed being made up with sheets, blanket and counter pane as it’s quite uncomfortable particularly on one of the hottest days of the year although the mobile air conditioning unit helped (first time I’ve had sheets and blankets for over 30 years since the day I got married despite extensive business (weekly) and leisure travel (4-6 times a year)). Hotel was very clean and the bathroom was well equipped. A bottle of water would have been a welcome addition to the room particularly in such hot weather. Not sure who to recommend the hotel to as it’s neither a corporate hotel with all the amenities or a home from home. Breakfast was on offer for an additional £15 and I decided to wait until I checked in to see. As I wanted to be in the office for 8am and there was no menu available, times of service or visibility of a dining room, other facilities or even other guests, I decided it may be too intimate and opted for a cold sandwich I had stored in the office fridge ‘just in case’. Was similarly priced to the executive room I had in the Novotel last week which had a full buffet breakfast included.
MMalkeet Singh**3-Star Review for voco Hotel**
I recently stayed at a voco hotel and had a mixed experience. The hotel has a modern and vibrant atmosphere that I really enjoyed upon arrival. The décor is stylish, and the overall ambiance is inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring a warm welcome during check-in.
However, there were a few areas that could use improvement. While the room was clean and well-appointed, I found it to be smaller than I expected, which made it a bit cramped for two guests. Additionally, I encountered some minor issues with the amenities; for instance, the Wi-Fi was somewhat unreliable at times, which was frustrating during my stay.
The hotel's location was decent, with several restaurants and attractions within walking distance, but it wasn't as central as I had hoped. Overall, voco has a great concept with its focus on sustainability and unique twists, but a few tweaks could enhance the overall experience. I would consider staying again, but with slightly lower expectations.
QqgyzGood location, five minutes walk from Reading Railway Station. The entrance is a street garden. Opposite is the office building. The room was on the back floor and looked like a new one, but it didn't taste much. The room is large, the bathroom is large, and it is very comfortable. Breakfast is not bad, there are not many options, but it tastes good. There is a parking lot.
GGuest UserOverall the hotel experience was quite good and the location is perfect. Except one of the elevators were broken during my visit and it was forever to get the lift up and down.
HHarryLau1023Very convenient, very close to the commercial street, close to Reading Railway Station, you can walk through the station square, walk to the Thames River, and feel quiet and leisure in the beautiful scenery of the breeze and sunshine. The hotel is soundproofed, the bedding is clean, comfortable and tidy, and the breakfast is great.
GGuest UserFriendly staff, comfotable bed, good room radiator, free WiFi and parking, good location and amenities
I enjoyed my night stay.
Few negative points-
Painting on the wall was worn out/falling off-needs renovation of the room
TV screen was small
Bit noisy because of busy road beside it
JJessJuiceThis room was amazing for the price. I asked a quiet area of the hotel and was put on the 12th floor at the end of a corridor and couldn’t hear a thing. Staff were efficient and quick to respond. Room was super spacious - modern bathroom with bath (from which you can view the tv!) and separate shower. Comfortable sofa. Lots of space. Handy mirror angles. Only downside was I don’t think the room had been cleaned in a couple of weeks / hasn’t had guests because it was VERY dusty. And the milk curdled in my tea and left it ‘chunky’ which was fairly rank. Aside from that would recommend and would go back.
AArunReally nice stay for reasonable rate and really helpful staff. Thank you so much. It was a good experience. Will recommend my family and friends if they need a stay in Reading.
