This was our 5th time at Porto Angeli and we have to say it really is a hidden gem (please don't tell anyone else about it). The overall experience is actually greater than the sum of the parts insofar as little things could be better. Food generally speaking was really good and there was always plenty of variety. We love sitting outside but so do a lot of others and sometimes we had to queue. More seafood options would be good, but we love seafood. Rooms are good and to a high standard, but we would recommend paying for a sea view. All the staff are super attentive but we would especially like to mention the ladies on reception who go out of their way to please and accommodate guests requests. We will certainly be returning in May 2025. G&L

The hotel is in a very nice location. The beach is nice, clean and quiet, the sunbeds are comfortable. The food was delicious, great selection. But this hotel corresponds to three stars rate. The staff at the front desk was unpleasant and unhelpful. Germans are preferred in the hotel and the evening animation program is adapted to them. We were quite unpleasantly surprised that there is smoking in the entire hotel area, including the balconies at the rooms and bars. As non-smokers, it annoyed us a lot. But what was really disappointing for us was the room. It was very old and dirty. The bathroom was very small, with an old dirty bathtub in which you couldn't take a proper shower. (I'm attaching a few photos) The bed sheets were changed only at our request. I'm not used to that with five-star hotels. The room is like in hotel with two stars. I've never been in a worse room.

First of all, the reception team (rose/elini and really all of them) was wonderful! The service in this hotel is top level!!!! The room was amazing, well maintained it got cleaned more than once a day. The pool is big The free cocktails were awesome! (Most of them). The food is good and there is alot of diversity. The view is amazing. Definitely I'll come back

Stegna and Porto Angeli is a perfect place for a family with kids to spend a beach holiday. The beach is perfect and the view under surface is awesome if you like snorkeling. And there is an exciting cave at Grande Blue which is close to the hotel. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The food and beverages are great and the variability is good. There is lots of entertainment for kids: big pools, miniature golf, evening shows etc. The rooms are big enough but I have to give a small minus: the sofa beds were out of date. Stegna is a small place pretty far from everything but when you have a rental car that's not a problem. We liked this small quiet village. And the view is breathtaking because the village is located in the middle of hills.

Rooms 3/5 We had standard room with the sea view. The sea view was great, cleaning -ok, everything needed was there but the room is not 5 star hotel room. I would say it looks like 3 star, very old fashioned design . The glass shield in bathroom doesn’t work the way it should be, so when you shower, you have a lot of water in bathroom floor. Food 2/5 all inclusive system. It is supposed to include a buffet restaurant and 1 one A la Carte. But when we came there in May we were upset to know that A la carte restaurant doesn’t work yet, early for the season. We as well as many other guests had either stomach flu or food poisoning which spoiled the vacation a lot. Food was not amazing, both quality and variety. Local alcohol is offered within all inclusive system. Cocktails they prepared are to chemical and sweet. Wine and beer is ok. Staff 5/5 Very friendly staff, always with a smile. Solved all the questions quickly. Kindly arranged late checkout from the room for us. Beach 5/5 Yes, there are stones, still nice and clean! And the sunbeds are super comfy! In general it’s a family hotel. Good for families with kids. If you are a young couple without kid, not much to do. Btw they have spa, but hotel charges extra for it

The hotel has a lovely location and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. But it really doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. Rooms are small and a bit dated. Beds uncomfortable and the bath needs a good scrub- was ok for a shower, but wouldn’t have a bath in it. Food is a hit and miss. Miss mostly. Really just… meh. We are not fussy eaters, but have often struggled to put together a palatable meal from the buffet. There’s hotel entertainment and kids club, all in German. Our daughter felt really left out. So did many other non German kids. And the worst thing about this hotel is smoking. EVERYWHERE- except buffet restaurant. If this is supposed to be a family hotel, why is the smoking allowed all over the place? Bars, cafes, by the pool on the loungers. Small children around and people just light up. We have been also terrorised our entire holiday by an older German couple next door, who seemed to sit on their balcony and chain smoke most of the day and night. Couldn’t open the door or enjoy our balcony, clothes and towels smelled of smoke. Absolutely disgusting and not something that I’d expect to be tolerated by any hotel these days, let alone a 5 star one. Please, if you claim to be a family friendly place, sort the smoking out. This place has a potential, but is not a great family destination at the moment.

We've been here as a family with 2 small kids. All in all, we enjoyed staying in Porto Angeli very much, super relaxing holiday. Yet there is some negatives: this is not a 5-star hotel. We stayed in 2 different rooms (both family room sea view, Aelous and Maistrali buildings) and the design and furniture were very far from 5 star, I would say lower 4 star only. On the opposite side, the common areas, lobby, bar etc. are very nicely done and are of much higher quality. Upon arrival we got a room in Aelous. The building is kind of secluded from the other areas and was overlooking some building machinery of the neighbour which was noisy. Also there were bunk beds for the kids and not bath tub, both were a no go for us, especially that reservation confirmation did you mention these, but the opposite. Anyway, the staff was very kind and flexible and we got relocated to Maistrali building after one night, which is much better. I can confirm this is a family friendly hotel with lots of programs and offers for the kids. On the other hand I would have expected a step stool for children in the bathroom or a child toilet seat adjuster. You can rent however strollers which is just perfect. Food was excellent, big variety, never boring, good quality. They even had themed dinners (Asian, Mexican, seafood), so selection was never boring. The offering and availability of snacks was somewhat less then I experienced in other AI hotels. Quality of non-branded drinks was mediocre. Event entertainment program was always good fun, quality performances every night. The beach is nice, sandy with pebbles, at some places with rocks in the water. The sunbeds are very comfy, probably the best I ever experienced. We really liked the location, Stegna is a quiet village in a scenic bay. The resort is spread over about 15-20 buildings, meaning it's not a massive single building hotel but very much human-scale with nice greenery around the buildings. And what is most important, every staff member we met was remarkably kind, they always had a good word or smile ready. This was a really an excellent holiday for the entire family.

What an amazing place staff are wonderful. We stayed in a private pool adults only. The room and view are fantastic the whole hotel is so clean. Beach is wonderful with private area. The food is amazing and Ben for my daughter who is gluten free diet due to coeliac disease. Bit hilly to walk to the suite and back but worth it for the view. Spa wellness centre a must. Has a great m on site too. We want to stay again and for longer. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel. Around 40 mins by car from the airport and €40-€35 to the tourist shops.
