Domus Alberico

Pros: Exactly as shown in the photos on the website; quiet, comfortable, great location (close to the Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo, metro station, and bus station), walkable district, and easy check-in. Cons: Sometimes the network isn't good, and we can't open the apartment door smoothly.

Outstanding location and plenty of room. Erika and Lorenzo kept close contact leading up to our arrival and were available anytime. The breakfast was just right and Erika was available to answer any questions and make recommendations for our day.

Booked Domus Alberico for a weekend away and was pleasantly surprised. The previous reviews all indicated good value and comfortable accommodation and this is accurate. As other reviewers state Lorenzo has been amazingly helpful and booked everything we needed from taxis to restaurant recommendations which have been great. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bed is a bit too firm for our liking so did not sleep as well as usual. The online key takes a lot of getting used to and you are provided with lots of instructions. But wifi reception is not great inside. Front door is fine but we ended up having one of us wait near front door and other going ahead to wait at the door to the hotel and shouting press now!! It worked but with some hassle! Breakfast available from 8am to 10am is very average with lots of packets of crackers and cereals and basic cold meat and cheese and sliced bread for toast but lovely coffee. Helpful staff around to restock items. We were in a rush one morning and missed breakfast but they very kindly put out a tray for us so we didn’t miss out. Rooms are nice and modern but some things were a bit well used such as our handle to front door and light switches which were a bit temperamental. Feels like it needs some maintenance to overhaul. On the whole though quite good value for money. Very well located for Vatican city and not far from Pantheon and Spanish Steps. Would recommend and not bad value for capital city accommodation.

From arrival to departure we were looked after really well. Our bedroom was a good size, and the bed very comfortable. We were not disappointed with breakfast each morning - it was exactly as we had expected. The location of Domus Alberico is a 'winner'. We walked everywhere for 4 days, and none of our destinations was more than 40 minutes away. We highly recommend a stay at this hotel.

Beautifully finished little hotel in an excellent location, only 8 min walk to the Vatican. The room was a great size and lovely and cool in a heatwave! Staff were very attentive and the remote entry features worked a treat, even for our late night arrival. Would definitely recommend this place.
