Great hotel and very conveniently located. Nearby metro stops, train station and bus to the airport.
Great breakfasts on the roof with a view of the city. The staff is very polite and ready to help with various questions.
WiFi works reliably throughout the hotel. The furniture is good and high-quality.
We recommend!
The Merulana Star is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Merulana Star is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Rome. The hotel is only 1km from Roma Termini Railway Station and 16km from Giovan Battista Pastine International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. The closest major public transportation, Vittorio Emanuele Metro Station, is only 400m away. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Arch of Constantine, Trajan's Forum and Teatro dell'Opera di Roma all nearby. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.
A good hotel in step access from sights, to the fountain 10-15 minutes, to the Spanish staircase 10-15 minutes, to Pantheon 10-15 minutes! ) Of course the places are small, but we came there only to sleep) Noise is bad, but to endure a couple of days can be) Very atmospheric, elevator is cool, another era!)

Excellent hotel, very friendly staff. I arrived at 8 am and wanted to leave my suitcase, but they checked me in earlier without extra charges because my room was free. It is very convenient that there is a kettle, paper cups, tea, coffee, sugar in the room. The safe is very conveniently made in the wall. Very good location next to Termini and a little further away is the Colosseum, and in general all the sights are within walking distance. I did not take breakfast because I wanted to have breakfast in cafes. When I checked out, they gave me a branded desk calendar. I would gladly stay at this hotel again! I did not find any cons
Friendly staff available 24/7 have local knowledge. The room was spacious and luxurius. Although no meals can be provided a snack option is available at reception for free, with fresh baked items...though a small selection it was scrumptious.
Have recommended this hotel to friends who will visit Rome soon.
The room size and supplies are OK, but the heating is overheated and uncontrollable, the bathroom is very cramped and you can't even stretch your hands to take a shower; the hygiene of breakfast is the most complained about. Maybe this is a family hotel. The old lady who does the cleaning in the morning is very old and completely incompetent. The tablecloth is not changed for each guest and is still in use when it is very dirty. The knives and forks are not cleaned at all before being used. The younger middle-aged woman always has a sullen face and never smiles. The only bright spot is that there are several good restaurants nearby, which makes it convenient to eat.
It's a 10-15 minute walk from Rome's Termini Station. It didn't feel far even when I was dragging my suitcase. It's a safe area. There was a supermarket next door, which was convenient, and a bar. The bar had a wide selection of wines and was a great place to eat. It seemed to be frequented by locals.
The room was spacious, and the bathroom (shower room) was larger and cleaner than I expected. I didn't need to change the bath towels every day, so I didn't ask, but they took the trash away every day. There were coffee and tea facilities, and a minibar (charged), so it was comfortable.
The breakfast was the best I've had during my stay in Italy. There was a wide variety of vegetables and other dishes, the croissants were delicious, and the orange juice was made from fresh oranges. In addition to the coffee they had, they made espresso and cappuccino to order. There was also free coffee and croissants at the bottom of the stairs at the reception, so I could enjoy them whenever I wanted. This is a highly recommended hotel.
The location is so so good! The Colosseum is right in front of you, so it was really easy to travel, and the cleaning was neat every day.
However, when I first checked in, it was an unfaceted face, so I think I have to contact in advance and get the password. (One person who struggled because he didn't contact in advance) I am very satisfied except for the difficult things when I first entered.
It's a fast chain hotel.
The good points of this hotel: the location is very good, the train station and various attractions are within walking distance. I booked this hotel on the spur of the moment to catch a flight, which is very convenient.
The front desk is very enthusiastic, and there is a grandfather who is very nice. I went to catch the train at 5 am. Since the elevator 🛗 is a manual one, if there is a floor that is not closed, the elevator will be useless. The grandfather personally helped me lift the suitcase to the first floor!
The price-performance ratio is too high! It is the cheapest hotel I stayed in during this trip to Europe.
If you want to experience living in a beautiful old house in Rome, this is a very good hotel

Amazing
YYanaYaoThe location of the hotel is superb, it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the Colosseum
CCHUQIAOThe overall room is not big but it is enough for our three temporary accommodations. It is close to various attractions and convenient for our short stay. All stays are very pleasant 😀
AAlexKornWe arrived at 10 AM and had some trouble finding the entrance. The main door was closed, and no one answered when we knocked. We called the phone number, but the person only spoke Italian. Fortunately, some guests were leaving and helped us get inside. There was no one at the reception, but later someone responded in English via WhatsApp.
We left our bags and came back later — the room was ready on time at 3 PM. The bed was comfortable, there was also a small sofa, the room was clean, and the bathroom had all the essentials. However, the main shower head was leaking a bit.
The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk through the park to the Colosseum, and the metro is nearby. For the price we paid, it was a very good deal overall.
GGuest UserThe location is first-class, located in the monti district, the surrounding area is safe and not noisy, and it is within walking distance of various attractions. The hotel is newly renovated, everything is very new, and there is a safe. The front desk service is also very good, and we arrived in the morning and had a room to check in. We stayed for three days and the breakfast was great, the taste was amazing ~ A very cost-effective choice, recommended for accommodation in Rome👍
KKaKeKaWhat does a traveler who descends to the city of Rome ask for?
However, if there is a place that is enough to be the axis of the trip, that is, if there is a sign of a person who carries a great location, clean, and touches the heart of the heart, that is good.
This hotel was exactly the real thing. If you step out of the hotel, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore spreads in front of you like a painting, and it is easy to reach the Rome termini station by dragging a large pass. In addition, the old arena Colosseum and the fountain of love Trevi are within walking distance. It is in a perfect position as a base to check the time and space that the city of Rome is proud of with its own feet.
The bath and toilet are clean and the rooms are neat. The reception of Miss Jasmine at the reception was warm like an old friend, and made me forget the tiredness of the trip.
Unfortunately, there are two points. One is that there was a floating object in the water of a shared coffee maker that could be seen as dust or mold. Hygiene is the basis of civilization. Another thing was that I was suddenly told to pay the accommodation tax at check-in. If there is a communication means called WhatsApp in advance, the preparation and mentality of the guests are very different just by notifying them.
Still, I am not hesitant to write this inn as ”satisfaction”. Maintain quality and unparalleled in location. The value of travel is formed by such a small sum.
MMANLIThe biggest feature is that the drink tube is enough. I did not finish the drink for the three nights alone. Of course, I liked the juice. I drank both bottles. The potato chips were also eaten. Drinks, dining environment is also very good, there is a handsome waiter, everyone can feel it.
GGuest User5 minutes from the Colosseum, the rooms are small but have everything you need. Friendly staff is always ready to help, breakfasts are normal, there are eggs, meat products, some vegetables, normal coffee, and a mountain of different sweets.
Overall, everything is good, thank you!
