JA Enchanted Island Resort Seychelles

The location and the views are very nice, from the good things the proximity to the Moyenne island as well. Speaking of the overall disappointment about the resort, here are some details: Gym facilities are nowhere near a 5 star resort level with the treadmill working only up until 7.5k speed so you can essentially only walk or jog there. I reported it several times and after trying to put some oil to smooth it out then all attempts to fix it were dropped. Extremely poor gym for the price paid, there are just the dumbbells without even a barbell added to it (photos). Also it was always hot and humid with the air con being off when entering and windows open. It was extremely hard to work out there due to lack of breath and the room wouldn’t cool down because it needed hours of active air con. There are completely no evening activities and a lack of activities in general, you simply eat dinner and go to the villa after. Excursions to praslin and la digue for 1750 euros without even lunch and alcoholic beverages is a completely robbery. You had shisha on the menu, but the tobacco didn’t arrive all week. Why are you listing things which are unavailable is beyond my understanding. Sun bed mattresses had to be asked to be replaced due to an awful smell coming from them. Internet reception is very poor and moreover has been lost for half a day on one of the days. Restaurant staff has been awesome, wanted to specifically highlight Irshad Khan - our favourite person there, but all members did a great job at the restaurant. I cannot say the same about the whole crew as there was clearly more effort made towards some guests over the others. It took over 30 minutes to calculate a proper amount to pay for extra services upon check out as I’ve been presented with a 25% bill than what was used and had to point out multiple times at wrong items on by bill before finally getting to the number - from 996 it went to 1068 euros before coming down to 778. If I didn’t check and just paid you would have over charged me. When we came we were promised maximum privacy at our villa, but we had German teenagers come to our villa on one of the days around 6 pm when both myself and my wife were naked at the bath and the shower. They literally came from the beach all the way up 2-3 meters away from the bath and while naked I had to ask them to leave and my wife had to dip under not to be seen naked. This was absolutely disgraceful, but what is more, when reported to the reception they just said sorry and didn’t even try to improve our experience. Staff didn’t even have the courage to inform the German family (parents) about our report for literally violating our privacy. The gym has the rules of no kids under 16 and a clear under 16 person has been training with me there without any issues. You can guess it was one of the two teenagers which came to our villa. Feeling like home every step of the way:) Never coming back again for sure.

My stay at the resort was truly unforgettable. The villa was spotless and equipped with all the amenities one could need. The hotel’s restaurant deserves three Michelin stars. The staff was always ready to assist, especially Ara Dh Ana, who ensured the villa was impeccably clean, and Sheryl, who fulfilled all my requests with a radiant smile and boundless energy.

I absolutely loved my stay on this mini island. The view from our villa was out of this world. The antique decor of the room and hotel in general fit the island perfectly. The outdoor bathroom is unique touch and when I wanted blinds fitted for privacy, they did so. All the staff were gems and we were happy to see them whenever we did. Bowen and Jenish were the first we saw and made the check-in process go smoothly, we saw them the most during our stay and they surely will be missed. At the restaurant, we saw Sheryl and David who were both very patient and generous with us. They always were in bubbly moods which was great to see. Whenever we saw Benny, we had exciting conversations and we felt special as he always gave us his time. My wife really enjoyed her dinners here and highly rates the meals she had here in comparison to other 5 star resorts we’ve stayed at. The only small issue was the width of the sockets not being enough for our plug heads. Regardless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and 100% recommend the resort.

A wonderful hotel in paradise! Throughout our stay we were made to feel welcome by every member of the Ja Enchanted Resort team. From the friendly welcome to the sad farewell. The location was perfect. Even though it's only a small island, it's right in the middle of a marine park with easy access to the surrounding islands. The rooms were perfect for us and we spent many days lounging around our private pool and then wandering down the steps to the beach for long walks and swimming. Paradise! Food and service was excellent with plenty of choice from the al la carte menu as well as theme evenings, from Italian to local Creole dishes. Excellently prepared, presented and served. If you want to explore more of the Seychelles then Ja Enchanted Resort is the perfect location, combining the peace and tranquilty of a small island resort with easy access to Mahe and beyond. For example, we went across to Mahe a few times and took the ferry to Praslin and La Digue. The hotel runs a "shuttle" boat to Mahe at regular times throughout the day, but if these scheduled times are not suitable then the hotel will arrange for a transfer to Mahe at a time better suited to your needs. Overall, a perfect location, fanstatic resort backed by a caring and attentive team for whom nothing is too much trouble. THANKS!
