What a treat! The chateau is located in the middle of vineyards and is surrounded by ancient trees and gardens. The rooms are bright and homey, decorated with antiques and very French touches. Veronique and Tony were very friendly and Veronique was happy to share the history of the house. She also took us on a mini tour of their winery and let us sample wine right from the barrel. We would have happily stayed several more days, but had planned it as a stop off before heading east to Dordogne.

This is a very homely place to stay. Not a grand chateau, but comfortable and a much better breakfast than some reviewers reported in the past. Veronique looked after us very well and showed us where to go to walk and to dine. The helicopters are at work during the night breaking up the air because of the risk of frost, so be prepared for an interrupted night's sleep if you go in March/early April when the vine shoots are developing!

Don't miss this opportunity to stay amongst the vines with Veronique and Tony as your hosts! The house is over 200 years old and beautifully maintained with comfortable rooms and a garden that overlooks the vines. We felt like we found a slice of heaven!
