Tregarthen’s is exceptional in every way. We stayed in room 10 which has amazing views to the off islands and the harbour. Everything was supplied in the room - excellent selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolates, biscuits etc much appreciated when returning to our room after a day walking. The room was warm, the bed very comfortable, two easy chairs where we could sit and enjoy the view and a fridge with fresh milk and spring water. Breakfast had an excellent choice. The bathroom large with bath and shower, fluffy towels and bathrobes. During the winter months the restaurant isn’t open but the Mermaid and Atlantic are close by both serving meals. The hotel is beautifully and tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Thank you to Craig and all the staff for your friendliness and helpfulness.

Wonderful meal, excellent service. Trio of pork was delicious as was the monkfish curry. Very imaginative menu with the dessert cocktails and definitely compliments to the chef! By far the best meal we had on St. Mary’s. To finish off a nice brandy and coffee.

Quick, friendly service with great staff. Food was great, portions maybe weren’t quite enough for me considering the price but overall everything was great. Just enjoyed the experience overall as it was my first time. The whole place had a great atmosphere and didn’t feel out of place at all.

The hotel was fine suited our needs The room was a superior one but apart from a fridge I am not too sure how it differed from other less pricey rooms It only had one easy chair in a twin bedded room However the view was super .We choose to eat wherever we wished in the evening and were very pleased with decision because the Atlantic Hotel nearby served great evening meals! The one evening meal in our hotel was ok. Breakfasts were fine. The Isles of Scilly in Oct could be abit disappointing for many as some of the trips and activities are mainly finished However we liked the space it afforded and actually thought high season would be too busy We had a very lovely time and would recommend to others considering an autumn visit The hotel is also most conveniently situated near the Quay

We were a group of 40 staying for a week on a DBB basis. The hotel staff were first class and nothing was too much trouble. With our large number and very busy schedule, we worked closely with the hotel to help ensure everything ran smoothly for both sides. All in all we had a hugely enjoyable and successful stay and have already booked for 2025.

Had the absolute pleasure of staying here to celebrate a birthday. All the staff are fantastic, so accommodating and friendly. The food and service is fabulous. Excellent variety of foods on offer for breakfast. The cleaning team serviced the room whilst we were at breakfast, very well co-ordinated! Overall a memorable stay for all the right reasons.

A wonderful hotel. Every single member of staff we met, from reception, bar, restaurant, housekeeping, were friendly, well trained and helpful. Our room was clean and very comfortable with a good supply of tea, coffee, biscuits, hot chocolate. Breakfasts included a superb buffet spread of fruits, nuts, seeds, yogurts, smoothies, pastries, ham, cheeses and one day we had the vegetarian cooked breakfast, which was excellent. Dinner choices were likewise extensive, imaginative and delicious. The sea views are glorious and the location, just above the quay, is really convenient for getting the boats to the other islands - as is being able to buy our boat tickets from the hotel reception, to save queuing at the kiosk on the quay. All in all an excellent hotel with superb staff.
