Hotel Olympus Palace

We are currently sat waiting for our transfer back to the airport, but our stay here at Olympus Palace was AMAZING! Hotel rooms are clean and modern, our balcony faced out onto the ***** of shops and restaurants, wasn’t loud at night as others had mentioned. Room was cleaned and beds made daily with fresh towels. It was my birthday on one of the days and in the morning we had a knock at the door where they’d brought me a tray of chocolate truffles, was a really nice surprise. Pool area isn’t too busy, never struggled to get sun beds for myself, husband and 4 year old daughter. My little one isn’t the strongest swimmer and they had no problems with her having an inflatable ring in the pool. Always a lifeguard around the pool who is lovely. I will say that if you leave your towels on the bed for over an hour without returning, she is a bit savage and will remove them but that is more than fair enough. The restaurant here is lovely, breakfast was our favourite, little one loved the watermelon. We were only half board so had only breakfast and dinner. Dinner time had a lot of options if you like fish (which unfortunately my family don’t really like), all smelt fresh and lovely. We only had dinner here once as we preferred to go out to a restaurant down the road which is our personal choice. The staff here are lovely, always have a smile on their face. Reception area is very modern and clean, sofas are extremely comfy which is lovely as we can just relax before our flight home. Location is brilliant! Not even a 10 min walk down to the beach (even with our 4 year old who gets distracted very quickly). Little fun fair right outside the hotel was a massive added bonus when having a small child, lots of arcade machines as well. My overall rating for this hotel is 10/10, will most definitely be returning when we come back to Salou!

This is a lovely modern looking hotel and looks impressive at first but after staying here for a week half of which it was raining and cold, it’s not very practical. Pros - friendly staff, pool areas beautiful, location spot on, beds very comfy, Donna cleaned daily, drinks at bar very reasonably priced, there was noise but once doors shut it wasn’t an issue for us and couldn’t hear people either side of us. Cons- rooms very basic and nothing in them to live for a week, absolutely nothing to do in rubbish wether, one pool table that’s it. Entertainment didn’t start until 10pm and lasted an hour If you are adults staying here would be good but defo not for families. Also not a good hotel to stay at if self catering which we were as there is literally nothing in the rooms and no space.
