Hotel Helios

Lovely hotel sited on sea front. Old style with wonderful staff: so helpful and always smiling. Great breakfasts outdoor or in room overlooking bay. Rooms attended to daily with clean towels and bedding. Outdoor perhaps needed a lick of paint but that didn’t spoil our stay! Amazing views from our room with little balcony. Car park available across the road from the hotel in locked compound but expensive on a daily basis.

This is not a four star hotel. It is at best a fair three stars. The good: the location is convenient, it is clean and well air-conditioned, and (at least some of) the rooms have enormous balconies with great views. But the rooms are small and dated, the entire hotel needs to be renovated, and the staff were not friendly. The vibe is not great at this place. I would not recommend staying here unless the price can’t be beat.

This hotel has an amazing location on the beach with a pool and deck chairs. The staff was super helpful and very pleasant. Very clean with new towels with the evening turn down. Overall a great experience. Good breakfast as well.

This is hotel for lovers of everything Italian. The hotel is quite old but the rooms are very acceptable, everything you need. If you stay in a sea view room on the 1st floor, they come with an enourmous terrace for sunbathing, dining, drinking etc. All parts of the hotel are spotlessly clean and bed linen was changed regularly during our 10 day stay. Breakfast is plentiful continental style in the breakast room overlooking the sea. The hotel Bagni is superb with sunbeds/deckchairs, umbrellas and cabins if you want them. You have the choice of salt water pool or sea for a refreshing dip and there are plenty of showers and toilets as required. Particular mention must be made of the hotel staff, reception, breakfast, housekeeping and on the Bagni who were all so warm, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Mostly Italian guests means you will get a great feel of an "Italian Vacanza". We have been several times and see so many that we have seen previously. A great place to stay.

The bar staff extremely rude, unhelpful and give the impression they can’t be bothered. They stand at the bar and if approached flee you away. Quite amusing at times of the rudeness. Many customers gave up and walked out as the service was so slow.

Best pool on the coast! We had a fantastic stay in gorgeous surroundings! Rooms were comfortable with cold A/C. We had lunch, breakfasts, and drinks at the hotel bar & restaurant- which were all good - and with the best view! Location was perfect to walk to dinner, gelato, water ferry, shopping etc. Parked & didn't touch car for entire stay. Water ferry to other towns is nearby. Staff was helpful and kind. Highly recommend this hotel. Would stay again.
