Senglea Suites

Situated in Senglea or L‘isla , one of the three cities opposite Valletta , Senglea Suites is a real gem with currently six rooms only. The owners Eric and Michael and their small team are great hosts. We felt really welcome, no question remained unreplied, all of them prepared to walk „the extra mile“ . The building itself is absolutely gorgeous, interiour very tasteful, super clean. A terrace and a rooftop lounge is available. Lovely breakfast, homemade banana bread :-) A Taxi was organized on our request to collect us from the airport, an introduction tour given on arrival. There are plenty of steps to climb up and down to the promenade with plenty of restaurants ir to catch the ferry to Valletta ( 3 € p.p. One way). Vittoriosa easy to explore by foot. Valletta is defenitely one of the nicest towns I‘ve ever seen. Staying at this place made it perfect. Thank you Michael & Eric and you team!

Don't hesitate to stay here if you travel to Malta! A boutique hotel located in a very calm zone of Senglea. Everything was perfect: friendly staff, delicious breakfast, clean and new rooms, amazing terrace and rooftop. Highly recommend visiting as part of your experience in Malta.

Probably the nicest guesthouse I have ever stayed in! Very friendly welcome in a beautiful setting. All rooms have a different but typically Maltese interior. A beautiful glass elevator takes you to the open-air patio and further to the rooftop where you can enjoy an enchanting view over the harbor of Senglea/Birgu. You can even have your breakfast here if you wish. It is located on the hill of Senglea, a three-minute walk from "The Guardiola" where you have a beautiful view of Valletta, with "Upper Barakka" as the main prize. There are currently plans to build an outdoor swimming pool. The breakfast is very basic. We stayed in the room on the ground floor and were bothered by the stench... it smelled like mold/fungus!!!

I stayed at this beautiful little gem from October 22 to October 26, 2022. Everything was absolutely perfect! The 6 rooms are all individually decorated to reflect the Maltese architecture and culture. Breakfast included almost anything you would like, including eggs cooked to order. The location is perfect ~ it's a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Senglea marina with lots of restaurants and cafes lining the waterfront. The ferry to Valetta is an easy 5 minute walk. Their lovely rooftop terrace allows for an amazing view of the 3 Cities, the Grand Harbour and Valetta and is the perfect spot to start your day with breakfast or end it with a glass of wine. The owners and hosts, Micheal and Eric, are so helpful and responsive. They can't do enough to ensure that your stay is really wonderful. , This hotel is the perfect place to enjoy your stay in Malta. I can't wait to come back!

There is often a misconception about the definition of a boutique hotel. For my understanding it should be a smaller hotel in a charming area where some thoughts have been put in, while creating this place. And that's what you see right away, when you enter this place. You see, that this place was created by people and not by some anonymous large company, which doesn't care about details. So there is a certain atmosphere to this place. We were among the first guests staying in this hotel, as a matter of fact, it wasn't even TripAdvisor listed at the time... So to sum it up... There are some minor 'bugs' like flickering bulb or so, as this place is completely new, but the interiors are great. The breakfast was sufficient, there is room for improvement (as always is), but it was on pair with even pricier hotels. The location of the place is great - among the old historical houses of Senglea, away from the tourist masses of Sliema etc., but with Maltas public transportation, it is no problem. We also had a lovely chat with the owners- lovely champs. In my opinion a place worth staying at.

Wonderful hospitality! I enjoyed 3 amazing days at this boutique hotel with my partner... beautiful renovated ancient building, amazing terrace with stunning sea/bay view... perfect breakfast... the highest care and kindness from the 2 hosts... we could have not desired and expected more. We'll certainly go back.
