Dongdaemun Bellus Hotel

There are very very few electric plugs in the hotel room. There was only one pair by the beds and one of the outlets on it was plugged up. We asked them and the curt worker who came up said it was just like that and there was only one usable plug, which was already used by the electric mattress pad. He offered no solutions and just said we could do what we want and unplug the mattress pad. We found a splitter behind the refrigerator and moved that by the bed so we could charge our phones but upon trying to plug in the charger it arced and burnt our charger. Also didn't like how the glass shower has a gap on the bottom letting all the shower water out to wet the floor of the bathroom. Not a great experience.

Very comfortable to stay, but safety issue need to be improved. one of the nights when I back to my room, a drunk stranger man try to enter my room by using another hotel’s key with same room number label. I hope the lift is only accessible with keycard.

Let’s start with the cons: 1) The location is not the most convenient and there is really nothing around the hotel. The businesses around are very local and there are a few closed shopfronts along the Main Street. You have to take a bus for 5 stops to get to the subway.  2) It’s next to two rows of bars or lounges and on Friday night you can hear them if you are sensitive to sound, even at 2am. But the sound is very faint if you are not sensitive. 3) No amenities at all Pros: 1) Flexible management. They let me check in even at 11am and I didn’t even have to ask. 2) Clean environment and well equipped room. The bed even had a heated mattress if you need and the toilet bowl has all sorts of features I couldn’t really figure out.  3) Hotel feels pretty new and the hardware feels new and clean.  4) Good pricing for the hardware and accommodating management.

This hotel is very good for its price. It is really better in real life than in photos. In my Seoul trip, I lost my wallet which was stressful situation for me. Staff at the reception helped a lot to find it and even called to the police. I’m very thankful. Location is good if you are planning to go to Myeongdong, DDP, Ikseondong.

Enjoyed the stay. The location has several stores around, and the airport bus stop is only 2 minutes away.

Very nice stuff ,and very welcome ,and very helpful ,in addition they also help me with a taxi ,and directions to the underground train and print out for me the exact lines I need to take to get to the destination. In general I think they are very helpful and very nice and friendly people . I highly recommend them with all my heart. 5 stars
