Homes Red Myeongdong

The hotel was new and easy to spot. It’s a basic no-frills hotel for budget conscious travellers. Take note it doesn’t come with tooth brush for environmental reasons. room was spacious enough for 2 pax and the toilet was long and spacious! The hotel is also close to exit 4 of chungmuro station. It’s just a short less than 10 mins walk from Myeongdong but less crowded. There’s lots of local food joints and restaurants at Euljiro area just opposite the hotel, definitely more well priced than Myeongdong and food was tasty good! It’s my current favourite hotel in Seoul!

We call this no frills hotel but with an outstanding amenities in the room. Very convenient to move around as train station is just few steps away from the hotel. Will come back with our family on our next Korean trip.

Loved the location. Free ramen bar. There are still some incomplete things around the hotel, but it’s a nice place. Close to main tourist spots and nice restaurants. Would recommend to any traveler.

Location of this hotel is good. It's 2 mins walk away from chungmuro station and 5 mins walk away from Myeongdong. There's lots of storage in the room but walking space is tight. There's also a fridge and microwave in the room which was convenient. It's the 3rd day of opening when we visited. Most amenities were not ready. There's no guest laundry area despite what's stated in the hotel description. Staff were nice but communication was hard as they're not exactly fluent in English. We tried asking if there's any way they could help us with doing laundry and the answer was no. We happened to see that there was a washing machine in the room beside ours and asked if we could use it but they said no again. Had to go through trip to finally have our room changed to one with a washing machine. However, the washing machine was not set up properly, so it shook very violently and moved out of its position. We almost got trapped in the toilet as the washing machine moved out to block the entire toilet entryway. It's also very loud. We didn't dare to use it anymore after one try. The hotel doesn't use floor heating so the room is extremely dry. Would be good if a dehumidifier could be provided in every room. Tried asking for one but as expected, they didn't have any.
