The location is good, walking distance to Dongdeamun surrounding shopping malls and subway. Minus points: 1) room is small, not suitable for family but couples; 2) no lift, so it's quite difficult to carry your big size luggage up and down as well as the staircase is narrow; 3) the receptionist lady is not friendly; 4) quite number of mosquitoes as the garbage bins nearby.

I stayed here because I needed to get a night's stay at short notice. Since it was a sudden stay, I thought I could get a cheap place to stay. I had a lot of luggage, so I was very grateful that they put me on the first floor without an elevator. However, the floor was sticky, probably because the room had just been wiped down, and the shower and sink were combined?! The toilet was right next to it, and the only place to turn the shower was underneath, so I had to hold it in my hand while showering in the small space, but the sink and toilet got sticky, the TV didn't have an antenna so I couldn't watch anything, and garbage?! The air conditioner was dripping with dirt. It was a terrible hotel, even though it was cheap, and it was quite a painful experience.

The location is really convenient, and it's near Dongdaemun, so you won't have to worry about running out of food. But there are only stairs, so those with luggage may want to think carefully. The hotel is in an alley and not many people pass by at night.

There was a dead cockroach and it was so dirty that I immediately booked another hotel. The hygiene impression is completely different from the photos.

I've been on a lot of business trips in my 60s, but this is the first time I've been to a place as humiliating as this.
Hotel Gaon Dongdaemun's sign says it's a hotel, but it's worse than an inn from the 70s.
Since it was a hotel, I made a reservation online, but the moment I walked in, I felt like I had been tricked, but I had already paid online.
Since I had already paid, I went in without saying anything.
The accommodation was so disgusting with the smell of cigarette smoke, there were no basic cosmetics or combs, and the TV was the size of a computer monitor.
The bed felt like it was full of bed bugs, so I could barely sleep.
I vowed never to apply online again.
However, the owner was friendly, and when I inquired about the location over the phone, he kindly came to meet me (it was close...) which was nice.
