While the hotel is not located near the bustling area of myeongdong and hongdae, it provided me with a more local experience. Hotel is about 40 mins by public transport to Hongdae.
There are many Korean food options below (no more than 5 minutes away) - kBBQ, oxhead soup and bean sprout soup. It is also located between two CU which is one of the convenience store franchise in Korea. There are buses nearby that you can take to explore other activities such as hiking. There is a market which I didn’t explore.
There’s also a roof top where you can enjoy the view of the vicinity.
I will definitely return to this hotel.

Overall a pretty good stay and reasonably priced - 8/10 would use this hotel again
1. Room is pretty spacious and can fit or open two big luggage with extra space to walk around
2. Toilet is pretty clean with basic necessities provided (They split toilet and shower room, which is neat)
3. Hotel beds are pretty standard, but if you are tired, you can sleep on it soundly
4. Location wise is pretty far from the city centre, around 30 mins with train ride to Myeongdong
5. There are a few food options around the area and some are 24 hours, but after 7 PM, the area is pretty quiet
6. The staffs speak quite good English as well, but learning some Korean goes a long way

If you really want to enjoy Seoul and it’s your first time, just don’t book this hotel. The room I was given wasn’t the same as I booked and when I told them, they still didn’t change it. Location is far from relevant places even though there’s subway and bus stations around. Not suitable for tourists.

Loved this hotel, if only it was in a closer location to centre Seoul. But the help the staff gave us with taxis on checkout was very valuable. Rooms were very comfortable and roomy. It also had a drying cupboard which was really handy and easy to use.
