Whilst the hotel is apparently dated, it is well maintained and has spacious rooms. Our family took two rooms for 3 nights here and it was quite accessible to many places by short taxi rides. Walking into Gangnam area is around 20 minutes but manageable on a fine day. Will recommend for those looking for good space, which is always a challenge in hotels in big cities.

Stayed in grand twin room for 3 adult’s stay, the double bed was too small. Had to ask additional sleeper as there were only 2. Even though there are 3 guests, only 2 complimentary water.

The room itself was alright, but the space is very small. My friend and I had two checked in bags each. I could only open one clicked in luggage at a time because if we opened all of them up, there wouldn’t be any space to walk, much less store our luggage’s. The room we picked had two twin beds, but no outlets near any of of them. There were only 4 charge ports, two Korean outlets(type c), two American outlets (type b) at the desk area. If they got rid of the counter before the windows, there would be a lot more space so I don’t know why those counters were there.

I have booked two, when I extended one day it charged me around 80% of the amount of the first two days. Otherwaise the hotel was very good.

I've stayed at Riviera Hotel several times. The hotel is relatively clean though it does feel a bit old. The doorbell of the rooms are quite loud, so I usually put on the Do Not Disturb Sign and just have whoever knock on the door instead. The hotel is located along a main street so it's easy to get a taxi / Uber when needed. There's a Cafe and Restaurant in the lobby, but I wasn't a fan of their food / drinks. I found more restaurants and cafes around the corner which I liked.

Initially while booking, this hotel seemed like a great option. The design is nice and antique. It's in a convenient location near a bus stop and subway station. The staff are patient and helpful.
However, there were several issues within the room. The lights do not have a switch or button to turn off. The lamps had to be unplugged every night before going to bed. Unfortunately, the closet ceiling light could not be unplugged or turned off at all. The motion sensor light turns on by itself in the middle of the night while sleeping.
The bathroom floor was leaking water in multiple spots from the tile. You will be charged to use the toothpaste and toothbrush. There are not enough universal plug outlets. Overall, the hotel comes across very fancy on the surface, but I think the rooms need to be updated and better maintained.
