Dalgona Guesthouse

2 days ago we arrived in Seoul and as soon as we checked in, we glanced at the room in this hostel and went to a meeting. After we returned, at about 09:30 pm we saw that the room was in terrible condition, we wanted to change the room, but it never turned out at the reception, although the opening hours were indicated until 10 pm. We also called the owners to solve this problem. The photos on the website and in the room that we were provided for 50,000₩ are categorically different from the photos on the website. We found mold on the wall, cobwebs in the room, and even a live kid right next to the bed, which suggests that the room hasn't been cleaned in a very long time. It's a terrible place. We just left and left the keys at the reception desk, but the owner of this hotel is an unscrupulous person, I have not been able to return the money for 2 days. 우리는 이틀 전에 서울에 도착해서 체크인을 하자마자 이 호스텔에 있는 방을 힐끗 보고 회의를 하러 갔다. 우리가 돌아온 후 09시 30분쯤 방 상태가 좋지 않은 것을 보고 방을 바꾸고 싶었지만, 밤 10시까지 개방 시간이 표시되어 있었는데도 접수처에서 한 번도 나오지 않았다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 주인들에게도 전화를 걸었다. 5만 명의 ₩에게 제공된 웹사이트와 방의 사진은 웹사이트의 사진과 완전히 다르다. 벽에 곰팡이가 피어있고, 방에 거미줄이 쳐져 있고, 침대 바로 옆에 살아있는 아이까지 발견되었는데, 이것은 방 청소가 아주 오래되었다는 것을 말해준다. 정말 끔찍한 곳이다. 저희가 방금 키를 맡기고 접수처에 맡겼는데, 이 호텔 사장님은 부도덕한 분이시네요, 이틀째 돈을 돌려드리지 못하고 있습니다.

That’s a great place to stay for a night, thank you for the stuff for the warm welcoming

It's a simple place to wash and sleep in. They provided soap and toothpaste. The only amenities were a water dispenser and microwave. We had luggage that we needed to bring up the stairs(3rd floor) cos there was no elevator. If you don't mind cramped up space, it should be good enough for a short stay.

This may be my first negative review for a hotel during my time in Korea because there were so few positives regarding my stay here. Firstly my room was different to the pictures. Booking a double bed room I expected to have just a double bed. instead I had a bunk bed with the bottom bunk being a double and the top bunk being a single. This meant that when sleeping I had very little head room and had to be cautious with lifting my head. The mattresses were also very stiff. Moreover, the bathroom was stained with mould and it appears as though it has not been thoroughly cleaned for quite some time. Furthermore, upon arrival the bathroom was soaking wet as if someone had just taken a shower moments before I arrived. Regarding room amenities, there was no mini fridge, bottled water nor a tooth brush. There were only towels, shampoo and an already opened tube of toothpaste. Regarding the positives, the man who was at the front of house when I arrived spoke very good English, I think he told me that he had lived in South Africa for a few years. The location is also conveniently located near a train station. However, this is all I can list regarding positives. Would I stay here again? Probably not, unless if they can address these issues. However, if you have a limited budget, this is better than nothing!

Near all transport and price is ok

Me and my sister stayed here last ***** new year, the room is a bit small but tidy. it's Easy to locate and walking distance from subway station, there are snack bars and coffee shops nearby. It's good thing also that the front desk attendants are english speakers. Satisfied guests here😊
