Hotels near Insa-dong, Seoul

If you come here thinking of Domiin Gangnam, you will be disappointed, but if you come here thinking of just a place to stay with a lot of passion, you will be satisfied. First of all, the staff were very kind and attentive. The front desk staff and the people who served late-night snacks were all kind. The only thing I was a little dissatisfied with was the facilities, but I guess there's nothing I can do about it. The night view was really pretty, but the first thing I was a little dissatisfied with was the facilities in the large public bath. In the case of the sauna, the cypress smell was nice, but I didn't feel it was hot. In the case of the large bath, the washing area and the bath were too close together, so I was worried that I would splash water while washing. And moisture condensed and fell from the ceiling, which was a little uncomfortable. The breakfast menu was limited, but things like eel rice balls were tastier than Gangnam. However, I felt like the staff were watching me (I guess it couldn't be helped because the space was small), so I could tell they were being careful. The only thing that was better than Gangnam was some of the breakfast menus and the TV. I had fun watching various things on the TV because it was a smart TV, and I liked that the drink bar was well-equipped.

Pros: 1) Strategic location - within walking distance to ikseondong, Insadong, Gyeongbukgong, subway station (Jongno-3(sam)ga station which service 3 lines), etc. 2) Toilet - Japanese style bidet (a huge plus point on this as most hotels do not have it) 3) Flooring - Wooden (instead of carpet) 4) Service: Kudos to the front desk person, Min Cheol (Mitch) for his friendliness and going the extra mile for getting the digital luggage scale in time for us from other guests as we checked-out. 5) TV - Netflix is available! Cons: 1) Toilet - drainage system (it gets stuck sometimes causing flooding in the toilet) 2) TV - location where they installed the TV is not ideal, easily bumps into it when walking pass the bed 3) Lack of mirrors - only 1 half-length mirror available in the toilet (suggest to install a full-length mirror on the wardrobe door) Overall, everything is good. It’s my 3rd time in Seoul, it’s an affordable hotel with high price value . Will come back here if I visit Seoul again.

Excellent hotel or suites for families! Equip with 3 rooms, 2 toilets, kitchen and washing machine. Travelling with my wife, 2 kids and helper, and the suites serve us so well. Breakfast is quite limited but decent if you are not choosy. Excellent location to explore Seoul too as train station is near.

Due to a mistake in my reservation on Trip.com, I was unable to check in to the hotel I had originally booked, so I spoke to the person in charge directly by phone and ended up staying at Sanbee Hotel. In the end, I was very satisfied with the clean and spacious room. I think the problem was dealt with quickly, but I only lost about 2 hours, so that was disappointing, even though I arrived on an early flight. The hotel front desk staff were very kind and spoke Japanese. The location is within walking distance of Jonggak Station and Anguk Station. I used different hotels depending on my destination. It was very convenient.

The location is great because it's right in front of Jonggak Station. It's a new place, so it's clean and the staff was kind enough to help me check in and out. I recommend it!

Hotel is located near anguk station. Just a little 5mins walk from the hotel. very near insadong and many food places. Below the main hotel there are some retail shops and restaurant & GS25(but it seems like the GS25 there is automated cashier or something because you cant jus go in as you wish). But there is another nearby GS25 jus a few abt 2 mins walk down on the way to subway. Did not take the airport bus because I was rushing for time. Although the Hotel told me that it will be a 5mins walk, but I personally would not recommend if you have big large suitcases because you got to pass through humans as that area is pretty busy in the day. But it is still convenient if you want to take and a much cheaper option. (i would recommend if you take airport bus if you arrive late night) Hotel room is big and clean & there is mountian view too! Never expect it from a city hotel. I requested for a high floor and was glad they accede to my request. However, I think i requested for a standing shower room too last minute, thus, they still assign me a bathtub room. But thats ok, I just make do with it. Basic amenities all provided (except disposable ones due to korea's law) They are quite strict with check in time, but I manage to store my luggage at their lockers and did a wash up before heading out for lunch. So if you arrive early, do prepare some small travel cleanser or a fresh clothes in your bagpack so that you wont have to dig your luggage. overall, im quite happy with my stay and would definitely consider coming back to this hotel.

Hotel is conveniently located behind Ikseon Dong Cultural village. It’s near a lot of coffee shops, stores, restaurants and tourist attractions. There’s also a nearby subway station for convenience. The lady who I assume was the owner was very friendly and entertaining. Amazed also that we were provided with breakfast every morning. The breakfast was simple (which I prefer) but very appreciated.

Overall the stay was pleasant. The location was great and the customer service was top notch. My husband requested a room with a good view cause it was my birthday trip and they gave us the view of the temple which was very nice and the best facing room. The rooms and toilet in general were a bit small and breakfast options were repetitive and limited. I wish they would change it or have more options.

Good location, it’s not that convenient for long term stays as you have to check in and check out everyday, which I still don’t understand. The room is quite basic with lots of things needing fixtures, otherwise a clean stay for the one night

I personally will go back again, the people that work is the lobby very kind , very nice people and very helpful. No words to describe how happy and satisfied I was. The Mongolian girls that clean my room everyday thank you so much🥹. Everyday I would arrive at night and my room is clean with new towel and new water. The toilet and shower are shared but there are a lot of them so you won’t going to have to wait. As a solo traveler young female definitely recommend this hotel , I even made friends during my staying!!!!
