Shanghai Changning District Hotels

As a business traveller, when I go to a hotel, I crave familiarity, as there are often enough surprises at work. At the Radisson Xing Guo, I had high expectations, check-in process was smooth and the room was nice. However, when I came back after work, the dirty cups were still inside my room and when I called down to front desk, they sent replacement glasses from room service without any spoons after a long wait. On my second day returning from work, there was only half the normal nunber of bottles of water. The continuous little errors were unfortuante as I never knew what else would go wrong. Hotel overall was nice, and should definitely spend more time training room servicing staff.

My friends in China recommended this hotel and told me that she loves it because it’s relatively inexpensive compared to similar hotels in the area. She also stressed that it is a native Chinese brand hotel that it is easier for her to order food and just anything she needs. I was pleasantly surprised by its decor, service, cleanliness and modern amenities. Our room had a nice big tub, huge shower and toilet with bidet. It’s been a while since I visited Japan and I forgot how nice to have a bidet. The breakfast was a nice addition to our stay since it is included. It served both Chinese and American breakfast with some nice local dishes. The decor is modern Chinese Jiangnan style featuring paintings, Calligraphy, and 3-D animation of gold fishes. I enjoyed working out at the gym as well. Super clean and all equipment are easy to use. There is a Pilate room as well. I didn’t have time to enjoy it. The staff are friendly and helpful. Not to mention that I asked for a power cord, it was delivered by a robot. Five star experience! .

Trust the Atour brand. This stay was a pleasant experience. This is a newly opened hotel in 25 years. The room is very clean, the decoration is simple and generous, the bedding has no peculiar smell, and the sleep is very comfortable. The Atour pillow is really amazing (I also use this pillow at home). When I left the hotel, the front desk also gave me two bottles of cold brew tea, which was thoughtful. The only drawback is that it is a little far from the subway station. Everything else is good. I will book this hotel next time I come to Shanghai.

I had ab amazing stay. The room had a microwave, kitchen sink, washing machine and a shower enclosed shower.  The staff speaks English and were very helpful (even when I had a wardrobe malfunction 🙈).

This stay was great! The hotel is in an excellent location, with convenient transportation and a wide range of food and shopping. The room is clean and tidy, the decoration is simple yet warm, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and I slept until dawn. The service staff is warm and thoughtful, from check-in to check-out, they are considerate and patiently recommend local attractions. The breakfast is rich in variety, including Western bread, coffee, and authentic Thai food. The price-performance ratio is super high. Whether it is a business trip or a tourist vacation, this treasure hotel is highly recommended!

Good location, near to line 10, and line 4. Near to Railway station. Hotel is good and clean. Only problem is the sound coming from highway side, as I have to open windows of room because of so much of heating in the room. Overall, it was comfortable stay, with friendly staff. Recommended.

Had a stay before leaving via Hongqiao Airport. Location-wise it’s in prioximity to 2 malls, which is next to the metro station, but it would be a 20-25 mins walk actually as the hotel and these places are not interlinked. The staff were very nice and welcoming, especially a male staff who wore glasses during night shift. Delivery can be directed to room conveniently by mini-bots. Free washing machines and dryer too. The hotel is new and they even offered drip coffee and tea in room. One drawback was that I saw people smoking at the bar area near lobby but the staff didn’t stop him, probably a norm in the culture. Overall a pleasant stay with the reasonable price.

Room is cleaned everyday and staff is very accommodating to any request from me. New mall recently opened beside the hotel, so it is easy to find stuff in the area like food and even shopping.

Exceeded expectations. The view room on the 18th floor has a wide view. It is also an old hotel. The decoration is newer than Jianguo Hotel. It is the first time to look down at Xingguo Hotel from the air. The standard room is less than 500 during the May Day holiday. It is very convenient to walk around Hunan Road and Wukang Road.

Perfect location. Close to all the restaurants I wanted to try and not far from the Grand Gateway Mall. I enjoyed my stay. Super clean and convenient for me.
