Overall, the room offered excellent value for money. I really liked the charming retro decor – it's clear a lot of care went into the design. Having a smart toilet, a kitchenette, and a washing machine made it feel very well-equipped for longer stays. The breakfast was a definite highlight; it used high-quality ingredients, offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, and they even focus on sustainability, which is a nice touch. The staff were also very friendly and provided great service. On the downside, there was a noticeable musty smell in the room, which was quite strong. We also spotted a few minor cleanliness issues, like dirty windows that made it hard to clearly enjoy the view outside. Lastly, the shower pressure was quite weak.

I had a fantastic stay at Citadines Songhong Shanghai and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. One of the standout features for me was the exceptional cleanliness of the entire property—from the lobby to the room, everything was spotless and well-maintained. It gave me real peace of mind and made the stay all the more comfortable.
The location is also super convenient, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and shops. Whether you’re in Shanghai for business or leisure, this location puts you in a great spot to get around the city with ease.
Another major plus was the in-room washing machine. It made a huge difference, especially for a longer stay. Being able to do laundry right in the room was so convenient and really elevated the experience—it’s these thoughtful amenities that set Citadines apart.
All in all, Citadines Songhong exceeded my expectations. Clean, convenient, and comfortable—I’ll definitely be coming back!

The room is hygienic, the environment is quiet, the service is not, and there is no need. It is almost the same for renting a homestay in Hong Kong.

We absolutely loved our stay at Citadines Shanghai. The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable, feeling like a true home away from home. The bed was so comfortable we slept wonderfully every night, and the bathroom was modern and clean. A special mention must go to the staff, who were consistently kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with all our questions. The location is also fantastic, making it easy to explore both the bustling city and quieter, charming neighborhoods. Highly recommended

Experience was great! Stayed for 4D3N and the room was spacious enough to accomodate my family of 3. Front desk and housekeeping staff were all very friendly and helpful with all my queries and requests. Overall cleanliness was satisfactory.
Breakfast had a wide variety of cuisines and they even provided dinner(slightly less variety but still awesome).
Located just a few minutes walk away from Beixinjing (Metro Line 2) which was super convenient to get to Hongqiao railway station/Pudong Airport and anywhere else for our sightseeing and shopping.
Would definitely recommend to stay here.

I stayed at Caption by Hyatt Zhongshan Park Shanghai from September 24 to 25 for a business trip, and the experience was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with great bedding that made for a restful night.
The staff were polite, patient, and very helpful, which created a welcoming atmosphere. The location is convenient for getting around the city, and the facilities are modern and practical.
Although it was only a one-night stay, everything exceeded my expectations. I would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travel.

Nice! Kindly improve response to guest concerns. The room was locked from behind (sliding locker). Stood outside for about 20mins with no response after next door called several times to front desk. Even went down to the front desk.

I was on a business trip to Shanghai during the Qixi Festival. I've always had a great impression of Hilton hotels from my previous stays abroad – their design, quality control, and hygiene are consistently excellent. So, when I saw this newly opened Hilton in the city center nearby, I immediately booked it.
Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. As soon as I arrived, the doorman proactively opened the car door and helped with my luggage. The doormen were consistently observant and attentive whenever I entered or exited, providing seamless and unobtrusive service. The lobby had a pleasant fragrance, and the decor had a very 'Shanghai' feel – stylish, grand, and chic, featuring a magnificent spiral staircase and a statue of Venus. Many couples were taking photos in the lobby.
I had originally booked a King room, but due to Qixi Festival, the front desk upgraded me to a quieter Twin room on the executive floor, and they also included complimentary breakfast. I had planned to try some local Shanghai breakfast specialties nearby, but I ended up having breakfast at the hotel instead. In addition to the standard Western hotel options, they also offered Shanghai specialties like large wontons, pan-fried dumplings, and savory soy milk. In the morning, there was also a Caucasian chef greeting guests at the entrance, likely from the hotel's Italian restaurant. The breakfast environment was very nice, though it did get a bit crowded sometimes with queues, and the layout for circulation was a bit disorganized. Overall, it was still very good.
The room had a very stylish design. It featured a three-way dry/wet separation in the bathroom, and the toilet was a smart toilet with a remote control, which was very convenient. I was pleasantly surprised by the room's layout; where I expected mirrors, there weren't any, and where I didn't expect them, they were placed. This made the entire space feel very open and gave the design a fresh, innovative feel. The window offered city views, and I could see landmarks like Riyueguang Plaza and the Shanghai World Financial Center. It was perfect for watching the clouds drift by and simply unwinding.
I made sure to go for a swim, and the pool was also quite good.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in a central area. In the evening, I took a stroll to the Wukang Building and walked back along Huashan Road. The entire route was perfect for a city walk. Choosing this hotel for my Shanghai trip was a great decision, and it made my stay very comfortable. Wishing the hotel continued success!

For a trip to Shanghai with kids, this hotel is perfectly located right next to Metro Line 2 Songhong Road Station. You can see the hotel as soon as you exit the subway. It's right next to Huiju shopping center, and Lujiazui and Nanjing Road are both on Line 2, making shopping incredibly convenient. We mainly visited Legoland, and the hotel is only two stops away from Hongqiao Station, making transportation very easy. The breakfast was also good. The lovely lady at the front desk gave us a complimentary room upgrade, which was spacious and clean. My child even said they want to stay here again on our next trip to Shanghai!

HHuakaijiumingA newly opened hotel, located on Xianxia Road. There are many restaurants nearby and not far from the subway station. The room is spacious and bright, and the bed is comfortable, which allowed me to have a good sleep. The staff's warm service made me feel warm. The price/performance ratio is also high. I will choose this hotel next time.

DDanzisebingtangOn my recent trip to Shanghai, I chose to stay at the Hyatt Centric Shanghai Zhongshan Park, and overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay.
First and foremost, I have to commend the hotel's location – it's incredibly convenient! It's just a few minutes' walk from the metro station. Whether you're heading to popular attractions like The Bund and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street or exploring other commercial districts, taking the metro is super easy. We didn't have to waste much time on transportation, which was perfect for us, as we prefer efficient travel.
Moreover, the hotel facilities are exceptionally new. Stepping into the lobby, everything felt fresh and clean, with a modern and elegant decor. The furniture and appliances in the room were also brand new, and the cleanliness was impeccable, making for a truly comfortable stay. What's more, there's a wide array of dining options around the hotel. The variety of food available for delivery is incredible, so whether you're craving a full meal or just some snacks, you'll easily find something to satisfy you. Even when we didn't feel like stepping out, we could still enjoy great food.
The biggest surprise for me was the hotel's Chinese buffet, specifically the Shanghai cuisine – the flavors were absolutely divine! The local-style Braised Pork Belly (Hongshao Rou) was perfectly fatty yet not greasy, literally melting in my mouth, and its rich sauce was fantastic with rice. The Stir-fried Eel (Xiangyou Shanhua) had a wonderfully tender texture and was seasoned just right, bursting with authentic Shanghai flavors. There were also several other distinctive Shanghai appetizers, each one so authentic and satisfying. I felt like the buffet alone was worth every penny, and I highly recommend everyone to give it a try!
However, there were a couple of minor drawbacks. The room felt a little on the small side, especially when I had a lot of luggage, it became a bit cramped. Also, there was no bathtub in the room, which was less convenient if I wanted to relax with a soak. But all things considered, the hotel offers excellent value for money. Given its fantastic location, new facilities, and superb dining, these small shortcomings are completely acceptable.

GGuest UserAwesome youth hostel experience! I will stay here again on my next trip!
This youth hostel is really great! The location is super convenient, close to the subway station and popular attractions, you can go out to eat and drink~🚇 Although it is a youth hostel, the environment is clean and tidy, the beds are comfortable, each bed has a curtain and a charging port, and the privacy is super good!
The atmosphere is also super nice! The public area is warm and interesting. Everyone gets together to chat and play games at night, and I met a lot of lovely travel companions~🎲 The boss and the clerk are super enthusiastic, and will recommend delicious and fun places that only locals know, and they are not afraid of stepping on thunder!
Super cost-effective, spend a little money to live super comfortably, highly recommended to backpackers and students! I will definitely choose here next time~💯

GGuest UserExcellent location within 1 minute walk from Line 10. Rooms are small but works if u spend most of the time outside. There are no lifts in this hotel so expect to climb stairs. I originally got room at 3rd floor but the ventilation is poor so I changed to 2nd floor which is great (lesser stairs too). Overall good experience, will come back!

MM436437****The room is OK, not much different from a budget hotel, but the entrance of the hotel is very warm! This is great! It was a cold day and as soon as I walked in the door, a wave of hot air hit me in the face. It felt great 👍 It was a highlight! There is plenty of hot water too! Large amount of water and fast output! But the drainage is not good enough, the floor is full of water after taking a shower! Others are pretty good👌

__WeChat295534****The location of this hotel sounds convenient. It only takes 20 minutes to walk to Wukang Road. To get to the Bund, just take the No. 71 bus near the hotel and it will take more than 20 minutes. The room is very clean and the service is very good.

GGuest UserThe atmosphere here is absolutely incredible! I was completely blown away by the hotel's ambiance. The moment you step inside, a subtle, calming scent instantly puts you at ease. The room is so warmly decorated, full of thoughtful touches; even the smallest decorative items show great taste. The location is fantastic! A vibrant commercial district is just downstairs, making it incredibly convenient for dining, entertainment, and shopping. I've already recommended it wholeheartedly to my friends!
