Location was a little further than the central hotspots than expected despite the name being The Bund Riverside, but check in was a breeze, and the room was also huge, almost like a mini apartment! Was so spacious, had ample of space to bring in my hoards of shopping.

The Bund is a very nice location and the Hyatt is a beautiful hotel with the 32nd Vue Bar and a spectacular view it is!!
Very clean, beautiful lobby and restaurant on 2nd floor. The restaurant offers a buffet very large and delectable selection of food, specialty items, desserts and variety is incredible! Enjoyed the ice cream bar! Great service, too!
Staff attentive, and the Spa offered a very nice massage treatment with body scrub and essential oils for a relaxing treatment after a very long flight! My blood was circulating again and the firm pressure of Momo, was certainly very good!
I am a new World of Hyatt member after this stay!

Overall I had a decent experience at this hotel, but the service was lacking, which is a shame since the property is very nice. When you check into a 5 star hotel, there are certain expectations and unfortunately this hotel did not meet them.
Upon arrival there is usually a doorman, helping you with your luggage, opening doors and showing you to the reception. There were none when I arrived. That's fine, not really an issue.
However after I dragged my luggage to the reception the staff ignored me for a solid minute while I was standing right in front of them. Not exactly a five star welcome. Of course the room wasn't ready so I had to wait 15-20 minutes to get my key.
The room was nice and clean with a great view, but had a bit of a strange layout where the sink was in the hallway and the shower in the corner so there's no real place to change clothes unless you close the curtains.
It was raining a lot during my stay but the staff were kind enough to lend me a broken umbrella. Better than nothing I guess. That might actually have been her personal umbrella so I appreciate the gesture nonetheless.
During my stay I had a strange feeling of not really being welcome, which I've never had at a hotel in China before.
Upon checkout the staff tried to pressure me multiple times to give a five star review and include certain names in the review which I did not appreciate. That needs to be earned.
If this hotel improves its service it would be 5 star no doubt, but until then it's not really worth the money.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean and comfortable, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was hearty and satisfying. One of the best parts was the convenient location and the beautiful view — both really enhanced the overall experience. Highly recommended.

The hotel room had a very good view and a large tub. Breakfast was good with champagne served. More importantly, the service by Jennie, Deslin and Flora was warm and friendly and made the stay a pleasant one.

Staff were attentive and polite. Room was very clean. There was the usual wear and tear - minor. It’ll be fantastic if the orange and white stains in the shower and next to the bathtub were completely removed, but very minor as the bathroom was super clean. My room faced a construction site and the street. In the morning I could hear the noise from the site and honking from the cars. But a bonus is that I have a view of the tower! Location is not too far away from the Bund and the financial district - short taxi ride will get you everywhere you need. Will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Shanghai!

The location couldn't be better, very convenient to reach the Bund. Excellent service, and free upgrade provided to a suite. Breakfast crowded but the staff will help, tasty food. Great experience.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a deluxe king room it was a nice place like home. The room was spacious 35 sq.m. with all the facilities you need; a walk-in closet with 3 sections for you and your family the space was enough to store big luggage here. They also have a table, sofa and some cabinets to put something on when you finish the day with more gifts. The restroom was separate from the shower.
The location was superb just 300 m. to Tiantong Metro Station and the bonus was a Luckin Coffee shop at the corner of the building, close to Lawson and a small Chinese restaurant.
And close to The Bund, Nanjing Road around 1 Km.
The reception was helpful, we arrived in the early morning, and we could get into the room and stay after a sleepless flight.

Everything is good and new other than the fact that there were mosquitoes flying around when you sleep . Didn’t expect that in a hotel this grade. The view though is immaculate!
The breakfast was ok but the servers were a bit confused with what they were doing. They keep coming and asked if I have ordered coffee.

I was very impressed. The staff was very helpful. I had problems attaching my TV box with HDMI and the staff helped out instantly! Front desk was very helpful. We had to use a translate app for some things (as I don't know how to say there is a problem with me connecting things in my room...In Chinese).
Bathtub was nice. I appreciated how it is connected directly to a separate shower area.
It was sold as a scenic/river view... Ya. Not at all scenic... And the river could be covered by my thumb. Could see no landmarks and the river is only briefly seen between 2 buildings. Granted I was only on the 5th floor (may be better higher up). I would not sell a room with those descriptors. Very misleading. Big bed, couch, and huge TV would be better it also sold with mini bar... But that was 2 bottles of water and 2 cans of soft drinks.
While I could not get the thermostat to cool, the room had windows that opened, so I was able to keep my room at a comfortable cool temperature.
The mattress is firm. I personally like firm mattresses, but if you don't, you might be disappointed. I slept much longer than I was expecting because for me, I was extremely comfortable.
Very close to a Raffles mall and extremely walkable to the international cruise terminal and Sinar Mas Plaza mall.
Biggest problem... On the TV it showed the room service icon... But you had to download an app. I tried downloading the app and was still unable to find room service... Not sure if it's my lack of Chinese (and phone translation) or if there is no room service. I know there is a restaurant... If there is room service... An old school paper menu would be appreciated. I know everything is moving to apps and online ordering... But needing to try to download and navigate an app for a club sandwich is a pain. There are plenty of nearby food options...but still.
I am not often in this part of Shanghai. But next time I am, this hotel will be where I book. While it may sound like I had a lot of negatives... They are really miniscule and I'm only stating them in hope management sees them. I feel so rested after staying there.

GGuest UserHygienic: Hygiene and clean, the room is large, I like it very much
Service: The front desk lady is attentive
The next day, the hotel next door was being renovated, and the young lady sent me a message and gave me a delay.
Overall, it is still possible, gave me a good experience, next time I come out to play, I will consider choosing this hotel.

OOlga SolomennikovaAuthentic guest house with interesting furnishings in a quiet area but very convenient for going anywhere in Shanghai. The metro is within walking distance, there are several good cafes with local cuisine nearby. When leaving the townhouse, you go straight to the market, where there are fruits and the freshest seafood. Upon arrival, there was a problem with leaving luggage, since we arrived at 9 am. Therefore, if you plan to leave your belongings until check-in on the day of arrival, please contact your host in advance. We succeeded, but since we don’t know Chinese, we lost a lot of time standing in the heat outside the house, since the hotel did not have a receptionist. In general, the owners quickly respond to all requests and requests, which is important in another country. Spacious room with high ceilings, the room has absolutely everything for a normal life, very good hair and body cosmetics in the shower. Iron, hair dryer and even mosquito repellent, although it was not useful. Snow-white linen and towels. Very nice place. Bottled water was waiting for us in the room, which was also a huge plus from the road! Another big plus is the opportunity to wash your own things. The only thing that created discomfort was the springs in the double bed, they were very noticeable, the problem was solved by covering them with two bedspreads, the owner should change the mattress. I recommend it for staying and if I’m ever in Shanghai, I’ll stay here! Thank you, friends 🌺

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and tidy. I especially want to mention the high-end toiletries provided by All Seasons. They are not only easy to use but also smell refreshing! The location is also good. You can go to several places in 10 minutes by taxi.

AAnonymous UserThe cleanliness was decent and pretty standard, as you'd expect from most hotels.
Facilities: The AC, heating, and TV all worked fine.
Environment: I didn't stay in a street-facing room, but I heard those rooms can be quite noisy. The front desk does provide earplugs, so that might mitigate the issue for those on that side.
Undoubtedly, the biggest drawback of this hotel was the mosquitoes in the bathroom. I stayed for a week on a business trip. The first couple of days were fine, but then something changed in the following days – perhaps it was due to heavy rain or another unknown factor. Every time I went to the bathroom, there was a foul smell emanating from the drain, and it was swarming with tiny mosquitoes. They were so numerous, a dense swarm. I literally had to spray water for a good while to clear them out before I could even get into the shower.
If I hadn't been so swamped with work, I would have wanted to check out by the third day. Everything else was tolerable, especially considering the price point of just over 200, which sets realistic expectations.

QQinzongThe room is cramped but well-equipped. The front desk girl provided good service. The surrounding facilities are very complete. It is located in the business district, and it is very convenient for eating. It is close to attractions and has convenient transportation.

KKamonmart789Stay here for a concert at Modern Sky Lab where I can walk there only 2 crossroad. Location is very convenient and close to Metro (7-8 min walk)
Surround by restaurant / cafe
The room is cozy but well equipped for what I want during stay
Cleanliness is so so, bedsheet and towel is clean
but there’re some dust on the curtain and wall
I would rate this 8/10 for the convenience.
Owner and staff are very friendly and helpful
I arrived at 9.30AM and she helped me to checked in when room is available. Thank you.
I’ll comeback next time

HHefuxianyunTwo issues: The room smells quite bad, and the bathroom exhaust fan is always on at night. The noise is a bit loud from the air conditioner fan and the early risers talking. The hot water is very good. The location is OK, and it is convenient to go to the Bund by bike, walk, or take a bus, just two stops away. Because of the location, the room price of more than 180 is not too low nor too high.
