The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, and only a few minutes' walk to Metro Line 2, making getting around super convenient. The hotel's design is luxurious, grand, and elegant, upholding Marriott's quality standards. The front desk and lobby staff are all very friendly; they even offered us drinks when we checked in. Cora, the guest service manager at the front desk, was incredibly efficient and professional during our check-in process. Because my other booking was split into three separate reservations, she expertly consolidated them for a continuous three-night stay, saving me the hassle of changing rooms daily. Even though I forgot to add a note when booking, she managed to put my sister and me on the same floor. Huge thanks to her for getting our three-day Shanghai trip off to such a great start! The hotel breakfast is abundant and delicious, with Shanghai-style scallion oil noodles available daily, plus many freshly made noodle and wonton stations. There's a wide selection of both Chinese and Western options. The cleaner responsible for my room, 2805, did an outstanding job; after a day out, we returned to a clean and tidy room, which was a pleasant surprise! The city view from the room is also beautiful. All in all, it was a very happy and satisfying stay! Definitely a 5-star recommendation!

I recently stayed at the Marriott Hotel Kangqiao, near the Disneyland Resort. The location is absolutely perfect, especially with the free Disney shuttle – it made getting to and from the park incredibly easy and stress-free.
The breakfast was another highlight. It was amazing, with a huge variety that caters to all types of food preferences, from local dishes to western options.
However, the room was a disappointment. Unfortunately, it was not as clean as I would expect from a Marriott. I found hair in the bathtub and also on the floor right next to it. This really affected the overall impression of the stay.
In short: fantastic for Disney access and food, but housekeeping needs serious improvement.

Found a real gem with this hotel! It's great value for money, the ambiance is fantastic, and the stay was super comfortable.
A special shout-out to Bertha at the front desk – she's incredibly thoughtful and sweet! She proactively helped us get a quiet room, and resolved any issues promptly.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and I loved being able to pick my own blanched vegetables, noodles, and vermicelli. Plus, the lounge staff were really welcoming and friendly!
My friend and I booked a river-view room, and the beautiful river scenery right outside our window was amazing. Highly recommend!
The hotel has a pool, and it's not crowded, which is very convenient. The facilities are quite new, and the hygiene is acceptable. The environment is also satisfactory. It's suitable for business travel. The room has a bathtub, but they don't provide disposable bath liners. I tried to extend my check-out time a bit, and while the front desk wasn't as accommodating as some other hotels, overall it was okay. It's a bit dry this season, and I'm feeling a bit under the weather. The soundproofing is so-so, but I was still pretty happy with my stay. Overall, a good review.
Had a terrible experience at the front desk, especially with the male night manager with the ponytail. He was incredibly unprofessional and rude. He kept asking us to repeat everything we'd already told him, mumbled under his breath, and then proceeded to register us for the wrong room. When we pointed out his mistake, he just recoiled without a hint of an apology. The second time it happened, he did the same thing, and the female staff member next to him had to apologize on his behalf?? Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. It's not even about professional ethics; he lacked basic manners.
Facilities: The hotel is relatively new and overall pretty good. The pool is a highlight – not crowded and the water is clear.
Cleanliness: Also quite good, no stains found in the room.
Environment: Although the location is a bit out of the way (but quite close to Ueno), it's very quiet, so I slept well.
Service: This is something the hotel really needs to pay close attention to. If the hotel provides shuttle bus service, then properly arranging the number of passengers and timing is the most basic requirement. Starting from the airport pickup this time, the arrangements were unclear, which led to me having to take a taxi to the hotel myself. Fortunately, the hotel handled it appropriately by arranging a car for me when I checked out as compensation. In the evening, the Disney shuttle was significantly over capacity, causing everyone to wait for half an hour before departing. The extra people were seemingly picked up by a ride-hailing service called by the hotel. Everyone booked in advance at the front desk, so why did this happen? People are tired after a full day of playing with their kids, and it's hard not to get angry in this situation. The hotel should really reflect on this!
I arrived very late for my check-in, and I have to give a special shout-out to Manager Zong at the front desk! She was incredibly efficient even late at night, handling everything with a gentle and polite demeanor. She patiently explained breakfast times and hotel amenities, and even when I had questions later in the night, she answered them thoroughly. Her service was truly professional, making me feel completely at ease despite the late hour. Overall, it was a perfect experience, definitely deserving of a five-star rating!
