Hotel near Pudong International Airport Area,Shanghai

I chose this hotel through Trip.com for an overnight layover in Pudong, primarily because of its good ratings. I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The hotel is very upscale with brand new facilities and smart features that made my stay incredibly comfortable. The front desk staff were very patient, and the lobby staff were also very welcoming. On the day of arrival, due to time constraints, I had to change my pick-up time several times, but they were very accommodating, and I even received a complimentary room upgrade upon arrival. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely return. This is the only hotel I've stayed at during my many layovers in Pudong that offers a shuttle bus service every half hour. If I had to pick a fault, it would be the location. While it's not far from Pudong Airport, the evening pick-up still took almost half an hour. However, the morning drop-off only took 15 minutes. It might be because of its proximity to Shanghai East Railway Station, which means there are many large trucks on the road, making it a bit noisy in the morning.

This is an older 4-star hotel, so the facilities are a bit dated, but it's very clean. The main draw for me is its proximity to the airport; I always stay here when I fly. They have facilities for kids to play, which is great for burning off their energy. I have to praise the concierge team – they are incredibly dedicated and responsible. I sent my large suitcase ahead of time, and they even called me to confirm receipt. They also helped me with my luggage onto the airport shuttle, which I really appreciate. This time, I booked a kids' room, and the complimentary kids' meal was a generous portion with good dishes. They also gave us a free kids' breakfast, and a big thank you to Miss Zuo Xian at the front desk for her meticulous and attentive check-in process.
The only thing I wasn't happy with was the restaurant. It's expensive, the food isn't great, and there's limited choice. We ordered three dishes, one soup, a pizza, and a sandwich, which came to a total of 688 yuan. We had ordered both Chinese food and the pizza/sandwich, but the Chinese dishes came out first, leading me to suspect they were probably pre-made. What I found even more unbelievable was that a glass of milk cost 42 yuan, and it didn't even fill a 300ml baby bottle. In UK restaurants, milk usually costs only 1 to 2 pounds, which is less than 20 RMB. I ended up ordering milk via delivery, but it was quite inconvenient!

Absolutely pleased with hotel, staff, their fast reaction to arrange transfer from airport (24hours, every 30min) with brand new clean electric buses and kind friendly drivers.
My room was a duplex, very cosy with all possible amenities (expect for the fridge) and great homy cushions to brew some tea and whats perfect - wooden flooring. buidings and room design are awesome too. Maybe while trasferring from airport coz road construction going on there you will get scared a bit where they are taking you ))) but rest assured Encore got you covered. they are like oasis there: with their own territory i even had a little walk around after very good breakfast.so thats for all you are doing great job guys 加油 祝你們成功🏆 馬上成功
I've stayed at this hotel multiple times. It's conveniently located in the Biyun International Community. I communicated with the hotel in advance about my check-in, and they assigned me a suite. Since I was celebrating my birthday, I truly appreciated this thoughtful gesture and the genuine care. On weekends, the hotel offers a shuttle service to and from Disneyland, which can be booked a day in advance. The complimentary bottled water in the room was a nice touch. The front desk staff were also very helpful. Overall, it was a great stay, and I'll definitely be back.
The room and other hardware facilities are good, and the front desk staff is also very enthusiastic and friendly. The deduction this time is for the woman who ordered the noodles for breakfast. Her attitude was disgusting because she was asked to order two more bowls of noodles (because it was useless) She ordered the noodles in advance and immediately showed her face to the guests. She ordered the noodles without saying a word. This is not in line with the Ramada brand. Points must be deducted from her and she is looked down upon.
10/2025 - I brought my relatives to Ramada Wujiaochang Shanghai for staying here because this hotel has the best price and performance ratio in that area at $78 for a suite, including two buffet breakfast and tax, no tip in China. We enjoy the area for shopping and dining, especially across the hotel, you can find a delicious bowl of vegetable wontons soup at $2.00 (15 RMB) including tax vs. approximately $20 in Los Angeles after Tax + Tip!
If you like Chinese medicine for a special area treatment, a 北京同仁堂 is just across the hotel.
The hotel has been continuing to renovate guestrooms slowly. Staying at a 9th floor might be your best choice because all guestrooms were remodeled 5 years ago with a Biden Toilet.
The subway #10 is just a walking distance from the hotel. If you like to visit the Pudong, you can consider to take a new subway line #18 for just a one-seat ride, but a 20 minutes walk or take a taxi at $2.00 to the subway.
2019 - This is my third time to stay at RAMADA SHANGHAI Wujiaochang. I am glad that the hotel is now going through a remodeling construction phase. The 3rd and 5th floors are at the reconstruction at the moment.
The hotel has a all-you-can-eat morning buffet with 30 different items at $7 (50 RMB) per person, which can satisfy most common visitors. A walking distance to the subway line 10 is not far, which usually takes 10 minutes.
From the subway station, you can visit a newly opened underground plaza where 13 exits are available.
