The house is made of solid wood, exactly the same as the pictures shown. The bathroom is very clean and the toiletries are also complete, just like the hotel standard.
There is a small courtyard where you can drink tea, which is very cozy, the air is good, and there is a great atmosphere.
The breakfast is also delicious and suits our taste very well. You can also tell the boss in advance what you want to eat.
The boss is very enthusiastic. If you want to hike or climb snowy mountains, you can communicate with the boss. The boss helped us to contact the mountaineering this time. The guide and the club are very reliable. We successfully reached the top. The experience is very, very good!
Very friendly staff, tasty food for a fair price, amazing views directly to the mountains through two HUGE windows. The room is very spacious, modern and clean. There is even a beamer to enjoy a movie.

There is a dirt slope on the hotel, I dare not go, the hotel driver brother helped us drive up, and helped us drive out when we left. It was very intimate. It was also a driver's brother to drive from the room to the restaurant. It was very safe. The staff was very enthusiastic to recommend going to the viewing platform to shoot the beautiful scenery when the sunset was going down. The large floor-to-ceiling windows of the hotel room not only can enjoy the top of the snow-capped mountains, but also overlook the green river between the Tiger Leaping Gorge. Friends who want to accompany the landscape should not miss this hotel. Another: the aerial photography angle drill a batch, the view is very broad!
We had a great time at Guanguan Di hotel on a cliff. It is definitely not the run of the mill hotel. A family owned business and the whole family is involved running the place. The daughter takes care of the administrative side of the business while the parents takes care of the hospitality. The family treated us as old friends. They could not do enough to make us comfortable. The minute we stepped into the place, tea and a warm seat were offered near the fire stove. We knew it was difficult to go out to eat, so we had requested to eat at their dining room that night. Prices were higher than normal, but then they slaughtered a fresh chicken and picked fresh vegetables from their garden for our meal. I do not think I have anything to complain about. The cabins are beautifully designed but the lights were dimming at times, and we could not understand why. They tried to give you the best that could be installed in the cabin. The view is awesome. In the morning, due to torrential rainfall in the city, we had no power during breakfast, but they managed to still provide us with hot yams, corn, eggs and buns. On our way out, they gave us a big bag of clementines. Thank you for such a memorable stay.

This is truly a gem of a place, with breathtaking views. Even though we booked a cheaper room, we couldn't resist the view from the nicer rooms once we arrived, so we paid extra for a cabin! The sea of clouds outside the window the next morning was so worth it! Don't miss it!
Now let's talk about the owner and his family. They're so friendly, and the lady boss and the young master have such sweet smiles. We had pork rib and ham hot pot for dinner. The owner thoughtfully added angelica root to the broth, which was very nourishing and helped alleviate altitude sickness, especially at 3,200 meters above sea level, which can be a problem for some. We devoured most of the soup and it truly helped with the altitude sickness. Those who are prone to altitude sickness shouldn't miss this! The pork ribs were fragrant and chewy, not the usual soft, mushy kind.
The traffic was a bit stressful; I drove for an hour on the winding mountain road. If you're not confident in meeting cars on winding roads, consider taking a taxi. It's a bit of a hassle, but the view is worth it. 😁

Sean’s Guesthouse
Tiger Leaping Gorge, Shangri-La | 10.83KM from Haba Snow Mountain
GGuest UserI've never embarked on such a thrilling journey. The hotel is spectacularly perched on the side of the Jinsha River Grand Canyon, halfway up the mountain, with a sheer cliff face on one side and the deep canyon on the other. When booking, I honestly didn't pay much attention to the exact location. I simply looked for a hotel near Tiger Leaping Gorge, as we planned to visit it the next day. But as we navigated there in the afternoon, driving up the mountainside, even my husband, a very experienced driver, started to get nervous. The road was incredibly steep – perhaps a 40-50 degree incline? – and what made it truly terrifying was that on one side was the sheer drop into the Jinsha River Grand Canyon, with the powerful river rushing below. It was an extreme test of nerve. I was so scared I couldn't utter a word, my mind racing with thoughts of unfinished business.
When we finally reached the hotel, perched precariously on the mountain, we met other guests who confessed they were too scared to drive back down and needed the hotel owner to take them. Despite the adventurous journey to get there, the hotel's scenery is absolutely unparalleled. It truly embodies the saying, 'the most spectacular views are found in the most treacherous peaks.'
This hotel has deep roots in the ancient Tea Horse Road. It's situated in a pivotal location along the Tea Horse Road, attracting many international trekkers and hikers. The owner himself is an avid hiking enthusiast. It was such an unforgettable experience that my husband said he wants to make a special trip back.
Next time, with this experience under our belts, we'd definitely park our car at the foot of the mountain and have the hotel pick us up. Alternatively, you could arrange for the hotel to drive your car up for you. Of course, if you're an adventure-seeker, you might enjoy the challenge! Haha.
GGuest UserAbsolutely absolutely beautifully place to stay. The 3 huskies, the family of deer, a small family of sheep, a pony and a donkey. My child had a great time feeding them and running around with them. The coffee house in the middle of the field is beautiful, such a nice environment to chill, have a coffee and cake and enjoy the quiet open field. Going to come back again that’s for sure.
Aazmi_nc⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — An Unforgettable Stay at Lisiman Hotel, Shangri-La
Our stay at Lisiman Hotel was absolutely delightful from start to finish. The moment you step into the lobby, you’re greeted with breathtaking panoramic views — lush green pastures set against a stunning mountain backdrop. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows throughout the property, including in the rooms, truly let you immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Shangri-La.
One of the most charming highlights was the peaceful surroundings filled with ponies, deer, and ducks that you can actually interact with — a rare and heartwarming experience that made our stay even more memorable.
The hotel staff were exceptional, always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. Special thanks to Bason and Jing Lan, whose kindness and extra attention to detail made our visit especially pleasant. Their warmth and hospitality really stood out.
We highly recommend Lisiman Hotel to anyone visiting Shangri-La — it’s the perfect blend of comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality.
Can’t wait to return again soon!
DDaniel HKDVery Nice Hotel with Friendly and Helpful staffs! Staffs helped to carry luggages up and when leaving, help to carry as well to car. Many shops around and it's inside Gu Zheng but car can still drive in! Plus point for location! Staff was nice and WeChat before we arrive and wait for us at the entrance and bring all our luggages down!!! Room is big, plentiful of bottle water and also us to feel free to take! And yes they have oxygen on request if you need! Just use wechat to communicate with them! Very easy! Will love to be back in this hotel!!
MMelissa PWYWe stayed 2 nights (15-17 Sep) here. We loved Ke Le 可乐, the resident dog, who greeted us enthusiastically when we arrived at night. They have 2 sheeps in their garden as well. The road to this stay was a little dark so our driver needed to be careful to avoid hitting any crossing horse/cow/sheep. Upon arrival, the host helped to bring our luggage to first floor. The room was spacious and has good movie selection as well. Toilet has no bidet so bring your own portable bidet. Bed is comfy. There is no cold aircondition only hot but it was cold at night so we didn't use the aircond. There is oxygen supply turned on at 9pm automatically so we slept well. There is also humidifier in the room. Biscuits were provided. There is free use of ******* clothes at the lobby which we tried on for free. Breakfast was included in our stay. It was the most simplest & clean breakfast with option of porridge or mixian. We requested the host to send us to Shangri-la train station to which they gladly assisted. Distance from the stay to train station takes about 10-15mins.
AAnonymous UserShān Lín Yuè was truly a delightful highlight of this trip! The moment we walked in, a fluffy 'friend' came right over to greet us, and our hearts just melted! The afternoon tea was exquisite and incredibly thoughtful – truly therapeutic. The front desk attendant not only helped us with our luggage upstairs but also discreetly shared a secret path to catch the most stunning reflection of Songtsam Linka Monastery. He patiently explained how to best explore the area, making us feel like old friends. The front desk attendant proved to be an excellent driver, getting us to the Tusi Banquet incredibly quickly. I highly recommend booking the Tusi Banquet through him; we not only secured front-row seats but also got a better price than booking elsewhere! This place didn't feel like a guesthouse at all; it was more like a second home in Shangri-La. I'm already dreading having to leave!
GGuest UserPros:
Helpful owner which even drop us off at station and allow us to leave luggage at his other inn.
Left stuff behind and they help to courier it to us.
Herbal footpath soak was provided, including one time use plastic for the tub.
Cute room, exactly same as trip photos.
Could be cons for ppl who are afraid of dogs but the dogs were super friendly and cute, that came running to gate to welcome us.
Help to heat up food that we brought.
Breakfast was good.
Cons
Location whereby you need a car to get to. Only two restaurants deliver food there. And if you want order dinner from them, have to inform in advance. Wasn’t aware and did not order in advance but they had kindly allow to order hotpot (which honestly was abit pricey). So please prepare food before heading there.
Will definitely go again if I were to go Shangrila as the only con was the location which is already stated on the listing.
GGuest UserAbsolutely loved our stay here! The service was top-notch — we got free pickup and drop-off at the railway station, and even free rides into town whenever we needed. Complimentary drinks were provided for both of us, which was such a nice touch.
The place was super clean — honestly, spotless! And the location couldn’t be better. It's right near Heido Cafe, and hotel guests even get free drinks there too. Total bonus!
We were also surrounded by the cutest, friendliest animals — it really added to the peaceful vibe. Plus, there were so many amazing photo spots; every corner was Insta-worthy!
One big plus: the staff can speak English really well, so communication was smooth and easy the whole time.
Overall, highly, highly recommended! You should definitely stay for at least 3 days and 2 nights — one night just isn’t enough to take in the view and soak up the serenity. So, so satisfying!
SSonia Wan CYThis hotel gives a very fresh and new first impression. I found out from Quzhen (曲珍)that it only opened in July. The design of the entire hotel is excellent – very chill yet infused with local ethnic characteristics. It's not overly ******* like many guesthouses tend to be; the balance is just right, modern with an artistic feel. It's a place that literary and artistic youths would surely love, with many photo hot spots.
Quzhen (曲珍)was my butler for this trip. She is an incredibly enthusiastic girl, providing very attentive service. She was responsive to every request and exceptionally thoughtful. When I felt unwell one day, she immediately arranged for an oxygen tube for me and checked on me regularly. She makes you feel at home. The other staff members are also very warm and friendly.
The hotel's location is absolutely top-notch, right next to the Songzanlin Monastery. It takes less than two minutes to walk to the side door.
The large floor-to-ceiling window in the room allows you to literally fall asleep looking at the Songzanlin Monastery. It's a highly recommended hotel.
If I have the chance to come to Shangri-La again, I will definitely return here. Quzhen (曲珍)feels like a friend waiting for me to come back in Shangri-La. It combines the facilities of a design hotel with the warm service of a guesthouse.
I have a few minor suggestions for the hotel: Next time I return, it would be wonderful if there were a few sun-beds on the terrace at the left of the restaurant. Lying there, sunbathing, reading a book while gazing at the Songzanlin Monastery would be super chill. Also, I think the breakfast could offer some Western options, such as bread, fried eggs, sausages, sandwiches, yogurt, coffee & tea etc. Afternoon tea could also be a nice addition.
As for the room facilities, everything is very good. It has diffuse oxygen, a humidifier, and many books for reading. It would be perfect if some seating cushions could be added to the bench next to the window along with a small tea table and tea set.
In conclusion, the entire experience was excellent. Thank you to every staff member at the hotel, especially Quzhen(曲珍). I hope to have the opportunity to see you again – my friend in Shangri-La.
