The hotel is only 5 min walk from the bus station, which is good for morning buses. The ancient town and monastery are both appx. 30 min walk. The location is superb. The staff does not speak English but is very helpful and kind.

The room was very clean and beautifully decorated, making it a comfortable and relaxing place to rest. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.
One of the best parts was the amazing view of the mountains right from the window.! The hotel is also very conveniently located, just a short walk from the bus station, which made getting around super easy.

The staff should know better the information about public transportation. They don’t even know that there is a bus next door that takes you to the train station. Some basics.

The receptionists were very friendly and responsive. However, that’s the best thing about the hotel. Will not recommend for solo female travellers especially.
The first room I was given smelled very strongly of smoke despite it being a non-smoking room. There were signs of cigarette burns on the floor between the twin beds. The staff were quick to respond when I made a complaint and gave me a new room.
Although the second room was much better, there was an unopened condom on the night stand. This made me very uncomfortable as this probably meant one of two things: the room was not cleaned properly or it was left there because of the kind of clientele the hotel attracts.
I was also bitten by some insects while sleeping. Since I arrived late, I decided to tough it out but left early in the morning as I felt very uncomfortable.

Great place to stay, close to bus station, but a bit too far from the old town. Taking a didi will solve the problem, the quality of the room is amazing for the price

Just a good all-around hotel and would definitely recommend. Location is pretty good near a city park and at walking distance from the old town. If the distance is too large, you can easily get a taxi which will drop you off at the old town for a couple of bucks.
People at reception desk were very nice and offered me fruit and other food. I could do the laundry for free as well.
Room for me was perfect. Clean, no noise, no bugs. Shower with hot/cold water, toiletries, towels,...extra water bottles provided. Good mattress too. No complaints

The room was pretty good. I stayed in Dukezong Ancient Town before, and it was really hard to drive and park. You can see the snow-capped mountains from the room. There is a very good sour soup hot pot restaurant a short walk from the hotel, which is a place for locals to eat.
