Urba Hotel (Shangri-La Shangbala Tourist Town Airport Branch）)

Great service - we checked in very late around 9pm, helped us with our luggage, and he was able to still make us some food to eat because we hadn’t eaten dinner. Can’t say the food was delicious but it filled our hungry bellies. He also drove us to the airport the next morning which was so convenient. Room was clean but older style. Sink leaked which is why I had towels on the bathroom floor (in the photo). Didn’t like the open shower which makes the entire bathroom wet. The only complaint I have is that he gave us rooms on the first floor and at 1am another guest was loudly talking on the phone right outside our rooms. I had to open my door to tell them it’s very loud. Owner was right there and told the other guest to quiet down but he could have told her earlier without having me get out of my bed and say something. Also note that you can hear planes take off - the accommodation is close to the airport (around 20 mins away) so at night it can be a bit loud but if you have an early flight and want to be close to the airport, it’s more convenient than having to add another 20 mins to be in the city.

Location was not good, nothing much that you can do nearby.   Eateries are not many choices too.    They stated that there is floor warming but when we reach there there is non .  The staff claim that in May they were told to stop floor warming by their province government.   Our local driver says that there is no such thing.   breakfast is till 9.30 or 10am.  We went at 8.30am and not much food was left and when highlighted to them they did not top up.   Both morning's breakfast are similar.   Room is big and spacious.  We have a bath tub in the room but its full of black marks and we did not dare to use it.   But other than that I cannot think of anything else that bring me back again.

The room was huge and clean. The shower system was great with precise temperature control and really hot water to enjoy in cold weather. The smart features worked well too. Breakfast had good variety and even yak milk.

The hotel is very clean and smart. Good breakfast. However, the location have a little bit far. In general, recommended to stay
