Perfect stay, staff is super friendly, delicious breakfast… on top of that the building itself is build in traditional and beautiful style. The owner showed us around the old city and took us to the dancing on the square.

Great location within the old town with stunning Tibetan-style architecture. The rooms combine traditional design with modern comforts, including heated floors for winter. However, the lighting could be brighter, and the bathrooms are slightly colder than the bedrooms. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Overall, highly recommended for its charm and excellent value for money.

Most unique hotel you’ll find in Shangrila in my opinion. Staff was so friendly and breakfast was delicious. Will come again some day

The restaurant was not open which was annoying. Even though the breakfast was free, there was a god reason for that as you’ll see in the picture. Staff were nice and helpful.

Positives: very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Decent location (5 mins walk into centre of ancient town.
Negatives: a bit soulless; very noisy wooden staircases at night/early morning and limited/uninspiring breakfast.

Advantages: The location is right at the entrance of the ancient city, very convenient. The hotel has its own style. The lady at the front desk was very nice
Disadvantages: I contacted the hotel in advance because I needed to park. The hotel said there was a parking space. I looked around and finally entered the hotel and the hotel said the parking space was at the door.
The room is facing the street. The soundproofing is not good. Passing vehicles are noisy.
I felt a bit uncomfortable due to the altitude. The hotel said I could contact them if I had any questions. But when I needed a thermometer, they said they didn't have any and no other help! Asked if the hotel has spare data cables. No.
I really had a bad experience in a self-service hotel!
