I stayed here for two nights in March 2023. I visit this time every year. I think the reviews of this facility are quite divided. I don't think it's suitable for people who don't like group living, but privacy is maintained and the facility is small, so it's easy to maneuver. The sound of people walking in the hallway and the sound of doors opening and closing can be heard, but it was quiet during the night. The clientele seemed to be mostly students and young people. The people at the facility were also very kind. You can also purchase cup noodles and snacks at the convenience store. It's just a few seconds from the room to the large public bath, and amenities (shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, etc.) are also provided in the room. Meals are served at the restaurant in a separate building. After leaving the entrance, you walk for about 10 seconds on the snowy road... The ingredients are from the Shiretoko area and are delicious. They mainly serve seafood, but we also enjoyed wild game (Ezo deer). The interior is an old building, but it is well cleaned and there are towels (face towels and bath towels). There is a heater, and it was hot, so we opened the windows for ventilation and fresh air came in. The large hotels in Utoro are nice, but they are a bit ordinary. Why not enjoy the "real Shiretoko" with the coastline stretching out before your eyes?

I stayed for one night in February 2022...I was visiting during the drift ice season, so I was able to enjoy it to the fullest. However, the weather was bad at this time of year, so I couldn't see the sunset (tears). As per other reviews, I think the evaluation will vary depending on each person's sense of value. I was fully satisfied. Since I only needed to sleep in the room at night, the 8 tatami Japanese-style room was sufficient. Whenever I go to the free-flowing hot springs, I am satisfied because they are reserved for private use (there were quite a lot of guests). The open-air bath outside was nice, but it was freezing underfoot, so please be careful. The temperature of the hot water was higher in the indoor bath at night, and the outdoor bath was hotter in the morning. Meals were served in a separate building from the hotel, and we moved along a snowy road to the restaurant building.The barbecue had a wide variety of items and was plentiful. I could barely eat a bite of the last meal. Yes, the building looked dilapidated, but it was clean. The other guests seemed to be students and drift ice divers. Many of the hotels around Utoro are large and first-class, but it can be difficult to move from the room to the public bath or restaurant, but this one was a small building and had good maneuverability. The food here was luxurious and there was also a natural hot spring, so I felt it was top notch.The staff were also very kind and friendly with me.
