Hotel Dorf Shizuoka

The hotel is very close to the subway station The hotel breakfast is very good Just a short distance from the hotel parking lot The supermarket is about 7 minutes walk away I can still hear the sound of the train coming into the station when I sleep.

I hear the sound of a railroad crossing near the station. The kids were happy because they could see the train. The pork bowl and Shizuoka oden for the late-night snack were delicious. There are many types such as all-you-can-eat tuna for breakfast, salad, bread, yogurt. It was good because there were 4 family members in one room and there were enough beds for the number of people.

It is located one station from Shin-Shizuoka on the Shizutetsu line. I haven't confirmed the location of the station, but it should be close. However, since Shin-Shizuoka and JR Shizuoka are far apart, I think it would be better to use a hotel shuttle if you are traveling by JR. This is a small hotel and is probably mainly used for business purposes. The outdoor washing machine can be used free of charge. I had booked a single room, but was upgraded to a double room. There are two convenience stores. There are not many restaurants in the area, so you can eat before check-in, or...this set is provided free of charge. Shizuoka oden and pork bowl ingredients. Separate white rice is also prepared, so just add the rice and top with the pork bowl ingredients to complete the pork bowl. Dinner is actually free. One free bottle of beer or hoppy. Other alcoholic drinks such as shochu and whiskey are also free. Highly recommended for drinkers. Free 1 hour all-you-can-drink included. For people who don't drink or eat, there are plans that don't include this service.

This is a business hotel for families and men rather than women. This hotel specializes in free shuttle services, and offers shuttle service from Shizuoka Station, as well as a shuttle service to the day spa facility Yunokino Sato and a drop-off service to nearby facilities. I used the Yunokino Sato shuttle service. Tickets with bath towels and face towels are sold at the front desk (better value than buying at Yunokino Sato). *Shuttle service is limited to 7:30pm to 9:30pm. I used the deluxe double room several times. I don't know how many rooms there are, but it was a smoking room, so the window was the wall of the neighboring building. So the room was a little dark. Moreover, the room and bed were spacious, so it might be a little lonely to use alone. I also used a single room twice. It was a smoker, but the room was normally bright, and if you put your head out of the window, you could see Tsutsuji Street. It's quite narrow compared to the deluxe double, but it's easy to get to the spot you want, so I had no problem sleeping (for the price). The breakfast buffet doesn't have many varieties, but they do have crab soup made with crab stock, and the main dish is pickled tuna, so it's just right. I think it's quite good compared to the breakfasts at business hotels in the same price range. There is a slightly old espresso machine, and I wondered if it was okay, but when I made it, it was surprisingly delicious and I was impressed (lol). The atmosphere is very homey. It's not like they're providing service because they're in the hospitality industry, but rather that they want to take care of the customers who come because they love the hotel they work at, which sets them apart from standardized business hotels. It's been 27 years since it was founded, so it's a long-established business hotel in Shizuoka City. I stayed there for the first time in several years, and I was a little impressed by how much effort they've put in to make it this far. I personally recommend this business hotel, but it is noticeably aging. Compared to modern business hotels, the facilities are inferior, and the breakfast area is not particularly spacious, with three large oval tables lined up, and sharing a table is also a negative point (it's a little confusing at first, but you'll get used to it after staying there a few times lol).

Tekka bowl for breakfast, Shizuoka oden and pork bowl for dinner are the best for a light evening drink. I still want to use it. Moreover, they will pick you up at Shizuoka station. It is a popular and very good hotel. The only drawback was that the rooftop dryer was not very good and I couldn't dry it (^_^;). The best part is that you can use the washing machine and dryer for free. Detergent can be purchased at the front desk for 60 yen.
