Went for an evening meal and it was lovely! We had the grill night 2x grills and a bottle of wine for £40! Great deal, we had rump steak and the mixed grill. Both were lovely, the steak was over cooked but I didn’t mind as it was so tasty. There was a great selection for the house wines, the Merlot was really nice. We also stayed for the quiz night and it was a great atmosphere, would visit again. :)

We went in January and had a terrible experience, BUT, this place has thoroughly redeemed itself. After complaining following the last visit, we were invited back to experience the new management and to see 'how it should be done'. We went for Sunday lunch and it was delicious and really well cooked. The management couple were lovely, made us feel very welcome and we'd definitely recommend and go back! Best of luck to you and hope to see you again soon.

Went for fish and chips on a Friday, they were incredibly accommodating to my wife's allergies and it was the best fish and chips I have had ever. Everything was cooked to perfection and I even ate the mushy peas, which I always had an aversion to. Can not highly recommend here enough and can't wait to go back.

Charming proper pub in a beautiful village. We had a clean and pleasant room - noisy neighbours sadly - but all made better by an EPIC breakfast. So friendly and welcoming and they even phoned to warn us about the very limited Sunday restaurant service in the area…

Only went for an evening meal but not a great experience. Watery food, no atmosphere, no fire lit on a cold autumn evening. Staff friendly but very casual. Food very overpriced for what it was. Very brightly lit, the room needed updating but has potential.

We stayed here for 2 night and would thoroughly recommend it. The pub and rooms are slightly tired but this didn't detract from our stay. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The welcome we received from all the staff was great and the food was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here last night. Great place for an overnight stay. The pub has so much character and the staff are so friendly. Food is excellent especially the breakfast which was fresh, hot and plentiful. Our room was a superior double and the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in ever. Bedding was fresh and clean and everything was catered for in the room which was in a little courtyard behind the pub so it was lovely and quiet. Snape is a lovely little village and we will definitely try and return in the winter to enjoy the warmth of the many log burners and open fires the pub had to offer.
