The room is clean and comfortable, with a large floor-to-ceiling window to enjoy the scenery outside. It is very quiet at night, and there are various restaurants downstairs, which is very convenient. This is the most cost-effective hotel I have stayed in Sofia.

This is a really great hotel for a touristic trip in Sofia. You can walk to the sights in a short time. Everything was clean. Hotel design is modern and elegant. Staff is helpful. There is a Happy Grill in max. 5 min. distance. There is no breakfast included maybe just keep that in mind. But I would visit this hotel again for sure.

B1 Downtown has a perfect location to explore Sofia - few minutes walk from Serdika metro station. 35minutes by metro from the airport. Stayed in the room on the 3rd floor, the deluxe twin room. The room is a decent size for a short stay, but the single beds are rather small (my friend and I are mid-height females), I'm sure a taller or bigger person would have problems with the size of the bed. You can open the window, there is also an aircon. The bath is a nice size with powerful shower, but the choice of toiletries is rather poor. Also, they do not replenish tea/coffee in the room (for extra charge), but there is a kettle. there is also a mini bar and some snacks (for extra charge). The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but they have an arrangement with a deli in the same building - you are getting 15 bulgarian lev voucher, which you can use at the deli. Doesnt get you far, but still better than nothing. they have a selection of some cakes and pastries, salads, yoghurts, coffee, smoothies, etc. Generally a decent hotel in a good location, so perfect for a short stay.

I was disappointed. If you want to live in a room with a bedbug on the ceiling, and have a fear that this insect will get into your bed or your things, then choose room 409. It is impossible to sleep because of the loud ventilation system. And you will not be greeted in a friendly manner. The service leaves much to be desired. The only good thing about this hotel is the location.

Excellent location if you are on foot. Impeccable English spoken by all reception workers. Clean and neat room with modern air con, lighting and outlets. Great hot water and water pressure (I was on level 4). Make sure you take your own bathroom products though. Convenient cafe next door open early.
