Rosewood Mayakoba

Standout was the unique rooms which are extremely private, spacious and beautifully designed along the lagoon. Personally I didn’t quite understand the ‘Butler’ concept and found some of the comms style a bit frustrating. The other standout was the ‘Day of the dead’ celebrations. The property was decorated beautifully and very well organised. The opportunity to also participate was great as we felt emerged in the festivities. It would have been nice if the dinner package also included the face painting. More broadly the property is set within mayakoba so you can explore the grounds including the other hotels and it was fun to explore on the bikes. The only other thing to be aware off is also this is the more premium / exclusive hotel in mayakoba it’s still geared towards families or at least there where quite a few kids around. Finally don’t have high expectations of the beach it’s tiny and there isn’t much space. If you want high end luxury visit Maroma.

attentive and friendly staff. the rosewood chain has always been a favourite of mine. i recommend coming here with family, friends, or partner. food is good too. very clean and safe hotel. the massage was very relaxing. i will be back for sure! thank you for your hospitality rosewood mayakoba :)

An exceptional hotel with 5 star service. The staff was extremely welcoming to our 4 year old son, greeting him with a stuffy upon arrival at the airport, offering a wonderful (and complimentary) kids club, making a surprise bubble bath with bath toys and balloons, and providing in-room babysitting for a date night. We got a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view rooftop suite, which was beautiful. It had a pull out sofa bed in a separate room, which was perfect for the 3 of us. A wonderful vacation and easy to reach from the airport. We’ll be back!

You think Rosewood, you think elevated, this is not the case. Resort is dated, overhyped and somewhere I would have no need to return to Firstly service, they try but cannot quite execute. Everything is late or just coming. Staff try constantly to recover service, they should just provide it in the first place. Rooms are something from a prior era, very dated. The whole place needs to be refurbished. I would hope it is next on the list. Food was average to below. Honestly did not have a good meal the whole time I was there. Cost while there I are not in line with what you get. Do not expect anything extra that you do not pay for. I would never need visit again and you will see from my reviews good and bad that I stay in a lot of hotels.

My husband and I went to Rosewood Mayakoba to celebrate our birthdays. We had a wonderful time! The beach is beautiful and great for swimming. They have complimentary paddle boards and kayaks on the beach. They do ask for identification upon entering the hotel. I personally love that, it makes me feel safe. No one enters the property unless they know exactly who they are and why they are there.
